19/06/2025: The pizza is super good (pizza with a thin, crispy base and a variety of delicious toppings). The service is very friendly and fast. 👍 Reservations are a good idea.

16/06/2025: The restaurant isn't clean. The pizza is okay, but nothing special. What annoyed me most was the reaction to my politely informing them that there was a hair on my pizza. The response was a shrug. That was it... I can't recommend the restaurant.

16/11/2024: ristorante l’oliveta davvero consigliatissimo, siamo stati a cenare un paio di volte, entrambe esperienze positive dove abbiamo potuto godere di ottimi piatti della cucina toscana e di una vasta scelta di vini rossi veramente di qualità, per non parlare della calorosa accoglienza e della cordialità del personale che danno modo di sentirsi come a casa, tutti piatti buonissimi ma l’’agnello che fanno è veramente speciale, ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.

18/05/2025: It's a steep climb to this piazza, but a welcome find when you get there. We shared the chicken liver starter, tasty pureed with sweet onion. We followed with the asparagus and egg pasta which was tasty. We were a bit distracted by the horse riders outside, that's the way to explore these hills!!

24/04/2025: Nicht unweit vom schiefen Turm von Pisa entfernt versteckt sich dieses kleine Bistro. Es gib eine Auswahl von 10 unterschiedlichen Pasta-Gerichten, gekocht wird frisch a la minute. Gerichte werden zu fairen Preisen angeboten, der Service ist sehr freundlich. Auch Salate, Dessert und einen guten Espresso bekommt man hier.

10/05/2025: Deludente e conto salato, non sarebbe stato se le portate corrispondesse con il menù. Eravamo entusiasti quando abbiamo visto il menù, ma poi la delusione, I piatti portati non corrispondono con la descrizione del menù,quindi fatti attenzione. Abbiamo chiesto due antipasti di tartare con crema di parmigiano ecc.... , ed invece è arrivato la battuta ( piena ma veramente piena di Peppe nero in grani...) con la stracciatella .... Il filetto di manzo castrato fritto. Ed è arrivato filetto classico ( femmina) ..... Il vino era buono, almeno questo. Ci siamo sentiti presi veramente in giro. Il responsabile di sala era molto dispiaciuto non ha potuto fare altro che scusarsi, ma purtroppo non basta. Spero che sia diverso e meglio in caso andiate.

04/05/2025: No table service as the table was already occupied by previous customers' drinks, little choice (even the water ran out), at least the ice cream was decent.

30/05/2025: We were visiting Pisa. One evening we ate at Al Veccio Braciere. The restaurant was busy; there were no tourists; everyone was local except for us. The service was quick, friendly, and attentive. The food was very good. We ordered a variety of dishes, all of which arrived at the same time. (Pizza, meat, and pasta with seafood.) Reserving a table is recommended. When we're back in Pisa, we'll visit this restaurant, which is located just outside of Pisa, again.

20/05/2025: I ordered take-out for 9 people, between first and second courses, the first courses were decent but nothing exceptional, the second courses terrible, out of two grilled meats, a fillet and a pork steak, everything was thrown away, pork steak rare (never seen pork rare) a fillet cooked rare, which I doubt was a badly cut fillet (nut or rump), it was full of tendons, tough and inedible, all the meats tasted old and smoked, I will never go back there again, even if the very polite boy who I called back to inform him of the facts apologized and offered me a free dinner.

26/05/2025: The first time I went there, I thought the price was a little high, but when I saw the sandwich I changed my mind, tasty, and full of ingredients. I found it really delicious! I go back often and willingly... too bad they eliminated the one with the edible gold from the menu because it was truly spectacular!

30/12/2024: Excellent wines, excellent cured meats and cheeses, excellent craft beers. Covered outdoor seats available, but in winter if you are from Castellina... No heating, not even at -5°C. Unfortunately music is also a flaw, they don't understand anything about it :)

20/05/2025: Perfect lunch spot for workers with little time to eat. The menu is not very extensive but it changes often to please regular customers. This is the second time I stop to eat and it is a good compromise for lunch. Excellent value for money

15/06/2025: I don't understand the positive reviews. The restaurant is more reminiscent of a delivery service. The interior is made up of only plastic furniture. The service seems unfriendly. There's no wine list. The food isn't bad, but it's not outstanding either.
