30/10/2025: Truly Exceptional – Warm People, Beautiful Setting, and the Best Lasagna I’ve Ever Had We had an absolutely wonderful meal at Ristorante Etruria in Volterra. From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us with genuine warmth and kindness. They immediately brought out a bowl of water for our French bulldog, Luigi, and treated him as if he were their own. It set the tone for what turned out to be one of the most memorable dining experiences we’ve had in Italy. The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful inside – classic Tuscan charm with elegant stone arches, warm lighting, and tasteful décor that feels both refined and welcoming. You can tell it’s a place that takes pride in its history and hospitality. I ordered the lasagna, and it was simply perfect — rich, delicate layers, full of flavor, and perfectly balanced. Honestly, it was as good as the best I’ve ever had anywhere in my life. My wife had the tagliatelle al ragù, and it was every bit a 10 out of 10 — silky fresh pasta, a sauce bursting with depth and authenticity. The service was exceptional throughout — attentive without being intrusive, and filled with genuine smiles. What made it even more special was that the owner personally followed us out as we were leaving to thank us after we told him how much we loved the meal. That kind of heartfelt appreciation is rare and unforgettable. Everything — from the food and wine to the atmosphere and hospitality — was pure Tuscany at its finest. If you find yourself in Volterra, do yourself a favor and make this your meal stop. You’ll leave full, happy, and feeling like family.

12/10/2025: We organized a "reinforced" aperitivo at Antista after our son's graduation; there were about 25 of us. Good pizza, excellent cecina and focaccia; spritz and prosecco for everyone. Fair prices, helpful and friendly owners.

19/02/2026: Excellent food. We'll definitely be back. If you have the time, I highly recommend it. The kitchen is a bit slow, but it's totally worth the wait. Highly recommended, and the prices are reasonable.

29/09/2025: While traveling, I needed to top up my car with engine oil. I bought it from this dump... the "lady" in charge had the nerve to charge me 22 euros for a liter can of Mobil oil!!! HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED!!! Don't stop here!!!

22/03/2026: The restaurant is a large, clean, recently renovated room (formerly an industrial warehouse). The owner is very kind and friendly. The dishes are generally good, but a bit tasteless. Service is perhaps a little slow, which could be improved (table of five on Saturday night). Perhaps it's good for students looking to try fusion cuisine. Overall, nothing special (I recommend the meat ravioli and the grilled duck).

15/12/2025: We went on a Sunday, with a reservation made that morning (we were lucky). A friend had told me about it. It was a truly delicious lunch: artichokes, parmesan cheese and olive oil as an appetizer, a prosciutto platter with crostini; homemade tagliolini with pioppini mushrooms as a first course; and braised beef with polenta as a second course. Everything was delicious. We also had a divine steak, fried artichokes, and eggplant parmigiana. The house wine was good, a Bolgheri, if I'm not mistaken. And to finish, a very good cheesecake. The only flaw was that we were in the small room to the right of the entrance, and the door was always open (it was a sunny Sunday and there were people dining outside). The room has a sliding door, which was always open, letting in a bit of cold. But that's a minor detail, considering the quality of the food and the friendly, direct attitude of the person waiting for us. To be returned.

27/11/2025: A typical Tuscan restaurant located on the village's main square. Authentic rustic decor. Excellent local cuisine. The white truffle pasta was superb! Delicious fried baby artichokes. Superb rib-eye steak! Paradoxically, apart from the truffle, the prices are high.

03/01/2026: They are closed and they write that they are open. A person goes a long way and then they are closed. Very good.

30/12/2025: Closed at 1:30 PM, but it says it's supposed to be open until 3:00 PM! We came here specifically for this.

07/02/2026: I booked a box with the "to go to good" app! And... when I went to pick it up, even from outside the shop, I was pleasantly attracted by the delicious smell of good things before entering. The place is very cute and welcoming. Andrea, the very kind owner, quickly delivered the box to me with a variety of still-warm baked goods, including stuffed focaccia, rustico leccese, and pizza. They were really good, plentiful, and above all, super-quality. I was able to enjoy and appreciate them with friends, and everyone was satisfied with the deliciousness. And then in the box there was a very fresh "Sicilian cannolo with ricotta and chopped pistachios" that was truly what you would call "a real delight"! I recommend it to everyone, I will definitely be back, it's definitely worth it!

16/10/2025: Now a regular stop at least twice a week, the pizza is really good and tasty, as are the pasticciotti, the soft focaccia. The prices are more than fair and the pizza slices are generous, with two pieces you get three to be a bit generous and the owners are very kind and friendly.

08/03/2026: Honestly, the food is good but I didn't like at all how one waitress behaved, brusque, nervous and unpleasant, I don't know if I would go back.

22/02/2026: Nice atmosphere, warm people and good pizza. Meter pizza really add to the conviviality and make the meal a celebration. Separate hoven for gluten free pizzas. Top!

28/10/2025: Every time we come, we're pleasantly surprised by the deliciousness of the dishes and the passion they put into both cooking and serving guests. There's not a single dish that isn't captivating in terms of flavor and quality. The prices are truly fair, and the value is excellent. Highly recommended for both a picnic lunch and a dinner with friends. The pizza, thin and crispy, is probably the best I've ever eaten! And what about the beans... they remind me so much of the ones my grandmother used to make: an authentic flavor, full of tradition and heart.
