Lovers of authenticity, this is the place to stop. First, Lucca, a gem far from the crowds, even in peak season. Magnificent! And this trattoria, bursting with color, is a delight, both for its atmosphere and the delicious food. Grazie mille!

Had a great birthday lunch there yesterday, Food, wines, service, friendliness, atmosphere all terrific, Deservably very busy. Best book, they were turning people away..one piece of gratuitous advice. A member of our party had been there often and was excited to see the owner again, told him so, he said he didn’t remember her. Crushed. Best to maybe just say Welcome Back! And perhaps you could be a bit more subtle in giving comp post dinner drinks to big spenders, not others!

Anyone who manages to get a table here is in for a treat! Away from the tourist crowds, with outstanding food (truly exceptional) and incredibly friendly service and owners. Make sure you ask them to tell you the story of the trattoria!

After having to turn around and leave because we didn't have a reservation, we learned from our mistake and booked a table for the next day. It quickly became clear why this trattoria is so popular! The pasta is homemade and delicious, while remaining reasonably priced. The staff is very welcoming, and the owner immediately puts you at ease by chatting with you. Despite the crowds, the service is impeccable! The desserts are also excellent in both quality and quantity! A must-try in Lucca!

27/05/2026: A truly beautiful place, with a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere in a good location and easy to get to. The staff were very kind and helpful. The menu was extensive. The dishes were truly excellent, everything cooked to perfection. I recommend it and will definitely be back.
