16/09/2025: I had lunch at this restaurant during my work break and was truly surprised. I had ordered a plate of fried cod without much expectation, but what arrived was a true triumph of flavor and abundance. In addition to the crispy, flavorful cod, there were beans, fresh salad, and spectacular caramelized onions, which alone were worth the trip. A rich, varied dish, with attention to detail, which conveys passion and attention to detail in the kitchen. I truly hope to return to Viareggio soon for another lunch like this!

10/08/2025: The food was really good and it felt very local and traditional. The cutlery was a bit dirty but they changed it immediately when we pointed it out. I didn’t feel scammed at all like the some other restaurants in Viareggio.

30/10/2025: As soon as you enter, you're transported back to another era. This former Anglican church has been transformed into a pizza restaurant. The staff are incredibly kind and friendly, and the pizzas are delicious!

08/10/2025: We ordered takeout pizza and sat at a table. It's a quiet place with a spacious and welcoming interior. There's also a secluded dining area, which is more... romantic, if you like. Everyone was very friendly. The pizza was good, among the best we've had in the area.

21/09/2025: It's impossible not to fall for it if you're vacationing or just passing through Marina di Torre del Lago: Ristobar da Carla is an essential stop, especially since it's the only one of its kind in the area. A bar, café, grocery store, bakery, fruit and vegetable shop, and household items... Carla is all this and more, as it transforms into a highly popular restaurant with table service at lunchtime. A wide variety of dishes are available, available à la carte or with extremely affordable set menus that never disappoint, both for their authentic flavor and generous portions. From seafood to land, you'll find it all here: lasagna, pasta, rice, seafood, salads, cured meats, and much more. The chaotic yet cheerful atmosphere makes it irresistible and a little anxious, especially on weekends, when reservations are recommended. It's a shame it's not open for dinner, as it closes at 7 p.m., unfortunately leaving room for the adjacent tourist-ripping eateries... A true institution! Very good.

03/08/2025: Io e dei miei amici siamo venuti a mangiare a cena qui per un compleanno. Come da titolo il compleanno era organizzato giropizza. Sono state portate circa 2 pizze ogni 8 persone e hanno avuto pure il coraggio di chiedere se ne volevano altre. Dopo ulteriori richieste ne hanno portate altre, ma non siamo riusciti a mangiare più di 3 fette a testa. Il prezzo è da TRUFFA. 25 euro per 3 fette di pizza di qualità nemmeno eccelsa. Farei le mie feste di compleanno qui solo per fare un torto agli invitati.

27/09/2025: Recommended by a colleague who clearly doesn't like us, we go to Bernardone in Camaiore. The exterior is well-kept, as is the interior. The rustic image of the place gives us hope. The first course (Gli Gnudi) was good. There was one problem, but a very significant one: the meat. The sliced ​​steak was raw and inedible, as was the rib eye; in fact, we chewed it and left it on the plate. The chicken was dry. The only edible meat was the sausage. The even more negative thing is that the smell was unappealing. Now, as an insider, I advise the owner to be very careful; the kitchen checks must be rigorous, because there's a lot of risk. Then, about the pricing of the baked potatoes: 6 euros for a small bowl? Food cost, at most, 30 cc... Come on!! The owner had the good sense to give us a discount. PS: The waiter who sees all the meat on the plate and asks, "Is everything okay?"... well, maybe he needs some training. We obviously reported the problem right away. What a shame, it ruined the evening.

22/07/2025: During a short vacation in Pietrasanta, I stumbled upon this gelateria and tried their gluten-free gelato. It was truly amazing: creamy, intensely flavored, and perfectly balanced. The care and craftsmanship that goes into its preparation are evident. The only downside? The price is a little above average... but considering the quality and attention to dietary needs, it's understandable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a gluten-free option without sacrificing flavor!

Vasto assortimento di cocktail e caffetteria, ottima cucina (aperta tutto il giorno) con piatti speciali particolari e veramente buoni e abbondanti! 05/10/2025: Welcome to hell! It must be said that the resort looks nice at the entrance and that perhaps there are more comfortable rooms than the one I experienced, but that doesn't make my experience any less unpleasant. Foreword: the company that hosted me requested the rooms months and months ago, and specifically a "top" room for me (they always do it, everywhere, and I've always had top-notch experiences). Instead, they shoved me into a sort of attic closet, with a sort of fire vent instead of a window: a tiny room (room?) without even a table to write on or a chair. A 4-star hotel, a room without even a chair. And then the cold: after a whole night under the duvet, I managed to get the room to 19°C, starting from a not-so-reassuring 17.5°C. The bathroom was hideous, with toilet paper piled on the sink and a closet the size of a Smurf. In short: obscene. But the worst thing is the totally inadequate staff: from the check-in staff who, faced with my complaints and those who booked, didn't know what to say and just stared at the floor, to the so-called manager who dismissed us in a rather rude manner without an apology or a smile, to the two waiters who, in the elevator queue with bottles of wine in hand, walked past the guests (I even have witnesses), sneaking into the elevator and violating every rule of good manners at breakfast, which opens at 7:00 and which saw no dining room staff until 8:00, except for one lady who didn't even say "good morning" or "smile" (she must have had her reasons, since she was alone in the dining room, but that doesn't mean they treat guests this way). I'm attaching photos and videos of my closet, photos of the breakfast room at 7:30 (if you don't see any dining room staff, it's because there was no one there, I mean no one), and a funny video of the coffee maker. If you want to use it, you have to lie on the floor because there's only one socket. Oh, and finally, the wonderful splash of color from the dusty, cold-air-emitting grate right next to the bed. The worst hospitality experience of my long travel career. What a shame. P.S.: I know, it's disgusting, but I didn't even take a shower: the bathroom temperature was far from the 18 degrees Celsius (64 degrees Fahrenheit) in the closet, and if I want cold showers or ice baths, I go to the spa. I preferred to avoid pneumonia, I hope you understand.
