03/04/2026: I ordered a Margherita and it was completely burned on the bottom. They replaced it with another Margherita...a little less burned. The dough was heavy. The bathrooms were poorly maintained, with doors that didn't close and an overflowing paper bin. The service was friendly and fast (there was only one other table of 2 besides us in the entire pizzeria). The prices were too high for the quality.

21/03/2026: The pizza is very thin, crispy, large, delicious, and highly recommended. Open until midnight, even after midnight. We were served by a very friendly and helpful waitress.

02/11/2025: The price isn't worth the service! We found it really expensive! You have to make your own bed; the room is adjacent to the shared bathroom, and that wouldn't have been a problem. We were aware of the problem; the bathroom had several drainage issues and various noises. After 6 in the morning, it was impossible to sleep. Honestly, the room was absolutely not worth the price we paid.

24/09/2025: Trassilico is a small village nestled in the mountains of Garfagnana, in the Serchio Valley, a hamlet of the Municipality of Gallicano. You don't pass through Trassilico on your way from one place to another. You go through Trassilico. There's one road that leads to the village and the same one that takes you back down to the valley. Just 20 families live there year-round. It's a place for those who love the mountains, with their fogs and the sound of the wind that winds through the gorges and slopes. The area is rich in privately owned chestnut groves, black oak, larch, and mountain fir. The road to get there is winding and narrow; a moderate pace and careful driving are recommended, and it's helpful to "make yourself heard" before the bends. Crossing with other vehicles can be problematic. In some places, the road is narrowed due to construction work and landslide containment structures. From Gallicano to Trassilico, it takes a good 40-50 minutes by car. But it's worth it. The locals are hospitable and welcoming to those who show respect and politeness. Noise of any kind is welcome.

29/12/2025: After recent exterior renovations, Lucca station has undergone a complete makeover: it now appears much more refined, clean, and aesthetically pleasing. It's a great calling card for those arriving in the city. The renovation has successfully enhanced the historic architecture, making the entire surrounding area more welcoming and modern. A much-needed improvement that finally does justice to Lucca's beauty.

30/03/2026: Always a guarantee for me! The dishes are super fresh, simple but tasty and well-cooked. The fitrira is superb! The staff is friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

26/03/2026: Everything was delicious. I had a really good time. I really appreciated the lactose-free desserts, which are usually very rare to find in restaurants. The waiter was fantastic; he really knows his job; you don't find waiters like him anymore. He was kind and willing to accommodate special dietary needs. It's a shame I live in another region, otherwise I'd go there often.

11/01/2026: Historic wine shop in the center of Lucca. The owner is very kind and friendly. He recommended "our spritz," which is nothing like the standard version you find everywhere else... Definitely worth trying!!! We really appreciated that he immediately asked if we needed water for the dog! 🙏😊 Thanks again!

19/04/2026: I arrived with high expectations, but unfortunately, I was very disappointed. We were at a table of seven (reserved a week earlier), hoping to eat and have a good time. We arrived and immediately noticed that the place was packed, and when we got to our table, we realized it was just a few inches away from the other tables. We tried to sit down, but we couldn't because we were bumping into other customers already seated, and there wasn't even room for the waiters to pass. At this point, the staff started moving the table around... After about 10 minutes of moving and general embarrassment, they found the only way to get us to sit... Unfortunately, the only position they could find was cramped and pressed against the bathroom door. It was so narrow that the waiters had to lift the pizza plates above our heads to get around our table. We also had to take turns cutting our own pizzas because we couldn't all stretch our arms at the same time. Finally, we were so close to the bathroom that every time someone came or went, they left the door open, and we had to close it every time to avoid the various odors. A real shame because the pizza was good, but it ruined the evening. The saddest thing was that none of the staff apologized, even though they understood the great inconvenience. I understand it was a Carnival night, so the place was very busy. But before accepting reservations, you have to make sure everyone can fit.

25/01/2026: Restaurants like this are almost unheard of these days. Eating here also requires you to avoid high-profile expectations or those of Instagram photos. It's a rustic yet spacious place, open for 60 years, a lifetime behind it. They saved our lunch because we showed up at a slightly late hour, and the owners, who are also mother and son chefs, welcomed us with great kindness and helpfulness. The simple, family-friendly atmosphere makes you feel immediately at ease. The mixed tortelli dish was delicious, and the homemade nocino was superb! The tagliatellina cake melts in your mouth. It's worth the expense because it's a breath of fresh air among so many places that lack soul and think they're a bit too much.

06/10/2025: The hotel is clean, and the reception staff were very polite and attentive. It has a restaurant (delicious food), and breakfast is included. There's no elevator, only stairs. The view from the hotel is wonderful!!

06/01/2026: RV park, a 20-minute walk from the center. We stayed there in winter: bathrooms and hot showers are included in the rate and were clean and heated. The pitch has electricity and water hookups. There are coin-operated washing machines and a dryer. Be careful with the opening hours, as it seems check-in closes at 7:30 PM. In any case, call the manager, who is very helpful. I highly recommend it!

29/03/2026: A bit out of the way, but well worth the trip, ideally on foot. Small restaurant with a few tables, including some outside. Friendly welcome and quick service even when it's busy. Great fish dishes. Nice wine list. Desserts are highly recommended.
