24/11/2025: Dishes are the result of a selection of authentic ingredients and interesting flavor combinations, but the gluten-free options deserve an honorable mention. In fact, the entire menu can be made gluten-free, and the restaurant offers fresh gluten-free pasta (from pici to tordelli, etc.)! The atmosphere is charming and well-kept. The staff, with their attentive and courteous service, truly make this place stand out.

01/01/2026: Good evening, I'm sorry to have to write this review, which I'm not used to doing, but despite the various problems that occurred at the New Year's Eve dinner and after the many complaints from customers, including us, who were in the very cold veranda area of ​​the restaurant, so much so that we dined in our jackets, we found ourselves leaving at a certain hour because we were so cold.

17/02/2026: We stayed here for two nights, and on the first evening we also opted for dinner. I'll start by reviewing the rooms. The rooms are clean and welcoming, and although very small, they are equipped with every comfort. The hotel is also in a very strategic location, both for the seafront (immediate access to the carnival, by the way) and for reaching the main attractions. The restaurant is beautiful, clean, and the food is good. The staff is super welcoming and helpful. If we ever return to Viareggio, this hotel will be our go-to. A big hug also from little Edo, who was welcomed with such love and attention!

24/02/2026: An experience to forget! I ate the worst fried food of my life! Five of us couldn't eat it and left it on our plates. Because of the inconvenience, they remade one and put it in the middle for us to share. This one was a little less bad. In any case, they made us pay the full bill except for the last offering. The only positive thing was the service, because I can't fault the waiter.

13/08/2025: Unassuming from the outside, but what they prepare here is amazing: delicious pizzas with a base so thin yet crispy – incredible. Great pizza artistry in the neighborhood, and even we tourists – despite arriving shortly before closing time – were given a warm welcome.

21/09/2025: A lovely place to stay right on the beach, with very nice food. The female staff are very kind, but the older man behind the bar is extremely rude. He openly says he won’t talk to you if you don’t speak Italian. Yesterday I tried my best in Italian, and today I tried again, but he was still very rude and waved me away saying he was full. It seems like things go a bit too well for this man. I would give him zero stars if I could, but since I really love the place and all the other staff are very kind, that wouldn’t be fair.

07/09/2025: I arrived alone at 2:00 PM. The friendly owner gave me an umbrella and access to the pool. There wasn't much noise on the beach, so I managed to sleep and then took a relaxing dip in the seawater at the pool. I'll be back.

21/09/2025: It's impossible not to fall for it if you're vacationing or just passing through Marina di Torre del Lago: Ristobar da Carla is an essential stop, especially since it's the only one of its kind in the area. A bar, café, grocery store, bakery, fruit and vegetable shop, and household items... Carla is all this and more, as it transforms into a highly popular restaurant with table service at lunchtime. A wide variety of dishes are available, available à la carte or with extremely affordable set menus that never disappoint, both for their authentic flavor and generous portions. From seafood to land, you'll find it all here: lasagna, pasta, rice, seafood, salads, cured meats, and much more. The chaotic yet cheerful atmosphere makes it irresistible and a little anxious, especially on weekends, when reservations are recommended. It's a shame it's not open for dinner, as it closes at 7 p.m., unfortunately leaving room for the adjacent tourist-ripping eateries... A true institution! Very good.

04/01/2026: Lovely restaurant just steps from the seafront. The staff was truly courteous and friendly, and we had an excellent seafood lunch. We started with the crispy, non-greasy fried calamari and shrimp, while the seafood salad was fresh and delicious. The first courses are equally delicious; I recommend both the seafood spaghetti and the shrimp gnocchi. Excellent value for money and generous portions; we'll definitely be back.

13/08/2025: Very nice place, incredible coffee and croissants, but the real highlight, or rather the icing on the cake, is the barista; incredibly kind and with a radiant smile! It's a shame we're from a bit far away, otherwise I'd adopt this bar!
