Let me start by saying that I live in Lucca and am biased, although fortunately there's no shortage of good pastries. But Claudio's breakfast is very good. I like the cream puff pastry, which is made just the way I like it—a bold flavor. And what's more, there's a lot of cream inside the pastry. Another dessert I really like is the semolina tart with hazelnut cream, which surpasses many desserts. These are my favorite desserts at Claudio's; of course, they have many other very good ones. For anyone passing through Lucca, I highly recommend having breakfast here, even though it's small and doesn't have much seating, but that's its beauty.

Excellent pastry shop, the only one in Lucca offering Pain Suisse in various flavors. Truly special, worth the effort. It's a shame it's small inside and the tables are outside. Otherwise, Pasticceria Claudio is highly recommended.
