26/08/2025: We spent a weekend with friends in this group vacation rental. The house is clean and well-organized, with large dorms and smaller rooms, some with en-suite bathrooms and others without. Mr. Carlo, a fantastic host, acted as our guide, especially on a nighttime walk in the woods, which was so much fun. Teresa, the cook, keeps the kitchen immaculately clean and tidy, prepared delicious lunches for us with fresh ingredients. They were incredibly kind and always available (I also had to prepare food for Lola, my big dog), and they pampered us. They even accommodated us with breakfast, making us cookies and cakes. And all for a truly competitive price. Highly recommended!!! I would definitely go back!!! We had a wonderful time and felt truly pampered. Some info: - Since I always have trouble with the type of road, I'll start by saying it's easily accessible by car, with no steep roads or gravel bends. - Dogs are allowed. - Suitable for large groups (there were about thirty of us). - Rooms are furnished with beds only, but for an additional fee, you can have a pillow, pillowcase, sheets, and blankets. - It's also possible to self-manage the house, but in my opinion, it's not convenient, and it's quite difficult to figure out how much it would cost beforehand because everything you use has a price. It's easier to calculate if they prepare all the meals. - It's a vacation rental for groups, so don't expect a luxury hotel; you have to adapt. But, most importantly, for me, it's very clean.

09/05/2025: In transito per un evento lavorativo, abbiamo pranzato in questo ristorante situato nelle immediate vicinanze del casello di Barberino del Mugello. Nonostante l'ampio parcheggio antistante fosse quasi completamento occupato, abbiamo trovato posto a sedere in pochi minuti per 4 persone. Cucina toscana di buon livello e personale sbrigativo, ma sempre cortese e professionale. Merita una fermata.

18/12/2024: Ambiente rurale in mezzo alla campagna a ridosso del monte Giovi. Tappa di partenza/arrivo di trekking in un ambiente fantastico. Pranzo ottimo, servizio veloce, proprietario disponibile e prezzi onesti. Possibilità di soggiornare... è un'esperienza consigliabilissima. Per chi viene in macchina... salire, e scendere, con calma

21/06/2026: A restaurant in a beautiful location, but unfortunately, the interior is bare and depressing, with little choice of food... I ordered a schiacciata with ham, which I had to use my steel jaws to chew... a real shame, the location is strategic... but evidently the manager isn't.

03/09/2024: Sere d’estate, al fresco alle cave, abbiamo provato in varie sere tutto quello che riguarda il cibo e anche il bere e siamo sempre stati bene, e’ normale siamo in un parco e non in una struttura di ristoro dove c’è una cucina grandissima, ci sta di aspettare, e’ normale e nonostante tutto si può parlare con amici e bere una birra o un drink, la cucina chiude fino a tardi . I camerieri sono ragazzi giovani che hanno voglia di fare e di imparare, i prezzi sono giusti e consoni con il luogo, considerando che nei chioschi estivi a Firenze si spende molto di più, per me le cave e’ un ottimo rifugio estivo per fuggire dal caldo della città . Ci sono tante cose da migliorare , ma vi do molta fiducia , coraggio!

27/08/2024: Devo dire che la cosa più brutta che ha segnato l'esperienza nel locale è stata l'assenza di educazione e rispetto verso il cliente. Risposte e dialoghi davvero poco eleganti. I bambini sono stati serviti , male, dopo oltre un'ora. Purtroppo abbiamo trovato due insetti nei piatti, ma può succedere lo comprendiamo, ma le risposte poco eleganti e davvero indisponenti e sgarbati ci hanno lasciato basiti. Alcuni adulti sono stati serviti dopo oltre un'ora , altri ancora aspettano........... Sul cibo non voglio commentare, la poca attenzione e l' indisponenza hanno rovinato drasticamente la serata. Non torneremo nel locale , ma soprattutto consiglieremo parenti e amici della realtà del locale in questione.

02/06/2026: We stayed for a week and never wanted to leave. Amazing place, wonderful peace and quiet, and a stunning view. Carla and Graziano's hospitality exceeded all expectations. They were truly special people! The room also has a small veranda where you can enjoy breathtaking sunrises and sunsets! Pool and relaxation! Strategic location for seeing Volterra, San Gimignano, and other villages. We'll be back!
