21/09/2025: The menu is excellent, with a wide variety of meat options and some fusion touches. Service is rushed and slow. The atmosphere is pleasant, though a bit noisy. Price is reasonable.

05/01/2026: A place very close to the Psychology Department, truly enjoyable from start to finish. The highlight is the brilliant idea behind the schiacciatine menu, named after and featuring ingredients suggested by the students: a detail that creates community and makes the place unique. And then there's Stefano: more than just a manager, he's a true host, always available for a chat and capable of making you feel at home. Fair prices, a simple and welcoming atmosphere, and a super comfortable outdoor terrace. Friendly, affordable (which doesn't hurt), and with a genuine energy. Super Stefano, see you soon! I've been there/go there happily: I was a regular when I worked near the Torretta.

05/10/2023: Wonderful, warm, friendly family run restaurant. We have had lunch or just enjoying a nice cappuccino or espresso. While it is an unlikely combination of Italian and Japanese…it works. We’ve had an unplanned extended stay in Florence due to an accident and have been so fortunate to meet the lovely family who have embraced us like their own. Food is good and made with passion. We will miss them when we are finally cleared to head home.

04/06/2026: The Hotel San Gallo opened its charming front garden to the public for aperitivo time. A great idea, in line with current trends, but unfortunately, it was met with a completely improvised management system that didn't live up to the standards of a 4-star establishment. The music was too loud, and the cocktails were decidedly disappointing: unbalanced, poorly mixed, and made with substandard ingredients. The service also showed serious organizational shortcomings. Drinks were hand-served without trays, without coasters (with condensation from the ice soaking the entire table), and without napkins. Furthermore, nothing was served with drinks, not even the usual crisps you'd find at any neighborhood bar. Cleanliness was also a sore point: empty glasses were taken from the table next to ours, but the countertop was neither cleaned of the usual condensation nor sanitized for subsequent customers. Even more seriously, this superficial approach demonstrates a profound lack of respect for guests, especially foreigners. There's a widespread misconception that international tourists "drink everything" without caring about quality, but this in no way excuses poor service. Every guest deserves the same respect and quality standards that a 4-star hotel claims to have. Prices are reasonable, but the overall experience is even less so. This is a real shame, as these shortcomings diminish the hotel's prestige.

19/05/2025: Locale carino con esclusivamente piatti di pesce, Buona cucina forse servirebbe un po’ di attenzione (troppo aglio nella pasta è un problema con il vino) prezzi leggermente alti

14/05/2025: Cibo tirato via, dozzinale è caro. Non mi dilungo nei particolari ma non nego che durante la cena mi è venuta in mente la serie televisiva cucine da incubo.

01/11/2024: Ottima pizza a buon prezzo. Buonissimo anche il calzone, il pizzaiolo non è vero improvvisato.Locale tranquillo che è un aspetto non da poco. Sicuramente da tornarci anche per pranzo
