04/07/2025: Super everything from the food to the place

29/06/2025: I was there last night with friends and I found the place run down outside and dirty and smelly. Big sandwich but expensive for the quality of the ingredients... too much mayonnaise and ketchup covering the fried chicken. With the sandwich I took chips and beer... more than €20!!!! .... but this is crazy... moreover eating outside on ruined and dirty wooden or plastic benches and tables in a context that is not good at all for how much I spent... first and last time... for me to avoid!!!

01/06/2025: A little on the edge of the tourist area you can eat an excellent pizza here. The house wine is also of excellent quality. The service is friendly and attentive. A place that is also very popular with locals.

16/07/2025: Siamo stati a cena ieri sera in questo ristorante nel centro storico di Montemerano e devo dire che è stata un’esperienza davvero piacevole, sotto ogni punto di vista. La terrazza si affaccia direttamente sulla campagna toscana e regala una vista spettacolare, soprattutto al tramonto. Un’atmosfera che da sola varrebbe la visita. Abbiamo iniziato con degli antipasti davvero gustosi, preparati con ingredienti freschissimi. Ciaffagnone con pecorino e miele, panzanella al pomodoro, crostini toscani.. una vera delizia! I primi e i secondi non sono stati da meno: piatti ben pensati, con sapori autentici e porzioni giuste. E per finire, i dolci... Un grazie particolare al cameriere che ci ha seguiti per tutta la sera: gentile, attento e sempre pronto a dare ottimi consigli. Il conto è stato corretto e pienamente in linea con la qualità dell’esperienza. Lo consiglio vivamente a chi cerca una cena speciale, con cucina di qualità e una vista che lascia il segno.

31/07/2025: I recommend this place. I was looking for coffee under 3 euros, and that's what it cost around here. I ended up here for 2 americano coffees and a latte + 2 tasty sandwiches and I paid 9.50 euros. In the one 100 meters away for 2 coffees I paid 8 euros, so I will definitely go back there.

04/04/2025: I have been there, I must say that the owners are special people, the husband is a professional in the kitchen while the wife is the best in the details of the whole place and the other is very kind and nice. If you pass by, stop and enjoy a good day

20/09/2025: The staff is friendly and dedicated, but the "boss" of the establishment asks paying guests to leave even when they're still talking. I've never experienced anything like that in Italy. No go!

05/09/2025: We had a plate of fresh pasta with vegetables. Very tasty and good. The service was quick and friendly. We were so hungry we forgot to take photos of the dishes ;-) No vegan dishes were listed on the menu.

05/07/2025: For a skimpy ice cream, with a pressed cardboard-like cone and 2 balls, (like those of a cat.) 3 euros. You are truly from Lucca!!!! You should call yourselves "The ice cream goldsmith"

29/08/2025: Personally, since I'm not a food critic, if I like a dish, I write about it. Obviously, if that were to happen, I wouldn't like it, and on this occasion, I'd do the same. I like their pizza, as well as what they call ciaccino, and the prices are super fair. Yes, the place isn't clean; more attention would be needed.

28/08/2025: We've been coming to this campsite for several years, which is very convenient for access to the sea. The campsite is clean and the bathrooms are clean. We've always stayed within the campsite, and the restaurant serves excellent food. The bar is very well-run, with knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive staff, even when serving alcohol to minors. I saw the owner ask a young man how old he was after he asked for an alcoholic drink, and that's very important in my opinion.

26/08/2025: I confirm what I read in another review: alcohol is served to minors. For this reason, in the evenings, it's also a destination for kids from nearby campsites.

23/08/2025: The atmosphere is very nice, but the service was terrible. It was clear that the two waitresses who served us were making fun of us: they talked among themselves and constantly pointed at us, glaring at us. This behavior was probably due to the fact that an elderly person in our group was speaking loudly because she is deaf. It's important to have empathy and sensitivity towards others, especially if it's an elderly person with health problems. The most appropriate attitude the waitresses could have adopted would have been to approach us politely, rather than mocking him, especially since we have always behaved well. Furthermore, the food was overpriced (four of us spent over €150, ordering two Tuscan appetizers, two seafood dishes, four main courses, and three desserts) and was definitely not worth the price, given that most of the dishes were of poor quality, except for the desserts, which were good. We will definitely never give money to people who make fun of us again.

27/07/2025: A classic trattoria where you can eat very well and spend a fair amount. The place isn't very big, but it has a lovely outdoor area. We tried the pizzas (thin and crispy) and they were good, but the best part is the meat... the Fiorentina steak was good, well cooked, and very reasonably priced. The mixed antipasto was also plentiful and good quality. The staff was very friendly and quick.
