19/08/2025: Food: could be better the open lasagne was missing some salt (even with the added parmigiano, the tomato sauce was a bit blend), otherwise it was very good combination and a nice idea. The swordfish was ok. And the potato and leek piure was a little bit disappointing. It wasn’t bad, but the texture was something else from what we thought it will be. So 3.8-4/5, but I would definitely come back to try some kore visionary food! The service was spotless, thank you very much! Easy 5/5. Atmosphere: well, we had a bunch of people there..smoking and having a pretty loud talk, but this was not the restaurant’s fault, the restaurant looked pretty. 5/5. Thank you!

03/08/2025: The best pizza we've ever had! We've tried several, but they've all been amazing. The dough is light yet crispy, enriched with various seeds that make it unique... the pizza toppings are phenomenal and don't overpower the flavor of the dough... truly delicious!

Every dish was packed with flavor, beautifully presented, and made with high-quality ingredients. The cuisine strikes the perfect balance between tradition and creativity, all in a refined yet welcoming atmosphere. Excellent service, attentive and friendly staff. A must-visit for anyone wanting a true taste of Palermo with a touch of elegance.

28/07/2025: A very beautiful, meticulously maintained venue. The staff is extremely kind and attentive, and makes guests feel welcome. Attracted by other reviews, we booked and were not wrong: the tuna trio was truly delicious, as was everything else. The sorbet to finish the meal, a must-try, was truly delicious. The prices are absolutely reasonable for the quality of the food, service, and venue. You can eat outside, but there is an indoor air-conditioned dining room. It was also very pleasant to chat with the very friendly owner.

05/08/2025: Feels like a very authentic place. Cannoli aren't premade, but filled up when you ask for one. It's possible to pay by card. People go in and out all the time so don't expect to have a quiet chat there, just go, get your coffee and dessert and go on to explore Catania. :)

01/08/2025: A small café recommended by our B&B host, and what can I say? No advice was ever so spot-on! We spent five days in Catania and had breakfast every morning with different brioches, delicious, super-filled, and beautiful to look at (especially the pistachio cannoli filled freshly with ricotta, superb!!). We also had arancini, pizzas, and other deli items: delicious!!! The great thing is that both the sweet and savory dishes, despite being well-seasoned, remain light because they're made with genuine ingredients and cooked to perfection. The staff is very friendly, kind, and pleasant, they make you feel at home. Recommended to everyone 🔝🔝🔝

26/07/2025: We had dinner last Thursday. Everything was delicious: linguine with scampi for me (basically two portions) and grilled calamari for my wife. The staff were incredibly friendly; the chef came to the table to ask how things were going and then greeted me after we left. Excellent value for money. Definitely going back.

You can immediately taste the attention to detail, the careful selection of ingredients, and the love for tradition that Gustavo, the Argentine chef and owner, infuses into everything, from the kitchen to the warm dining room to the excellent and well-stocked wine cellar! My father, a Palermitan born and raised in South America, rediscovers the authentic flavors of his childhood here: every visit is like a journey back in time for him. And for my wife and I, who are vegetarians, it's always a pleasant surprise because they offer a wide variety of options, including guacamole, various vegetarian main courses, empanadas with onions, those with walnuts and cheese, and corn humitas, which are so good we could eat them over and over again! The service is always impeccable, kind, and attentive. We highly recommend it!

21/07/2025: My family have been coming here for years. What you get: a warm welcome, homely freshly cooked food from the freshest ingredients and great value. Do try the amber wine. Cannot understand the reviews that say the place is expensive, certainly if you have the antipasti, pasta, fish or meat main course (served with a salad), fruit and cassatedra (ricotta filled pastries) with wine, it’s brilliant value. Our holidays in Sicily would not be the same without a visit (or two) to Giavanni’s.

10/08/2025: A traditional cuisine that takes a few risks with modernization and fully succeeds. An example? The cheese-stuffed calamari, an idea as simple as it is ingenious! But it's also thanks to the excellent ingredients. Book in advance to avoid missing out on this great culinary opportunity.

18/06/2025: We thoroughly enjoyed the evening at Camùri. The three adults each had the tasting menu (surprise as to what's served), and wine pairing is available for two people. The food is of very good quality, and even a normally picky junior cleaned his plate. All in all, a lovely evening.
