The Pearl in Syracuse – our favourite restaurant! Perfect service, superb food of outstanding quality, brilliant wines! There's no better restaurant in our opinion!

We stumbled upon it by chance, but we had a wonderful evening. Incredible, excellent food, incredibly kind and attentive staff. My boyfriend is allergic to shellfish, and the wait staff guided us in choosing the best dishes and the right wine to pair them with. I must admit that, even though we came in planning on an appetizer and two first courses, the quality of the food ultimately convinced us to also order a second course and dessert. Highly recommended!

The "gelo di limone," a typical Sicilian dessert, not easy to find, capped off an excellent lunch. Then there were the sauces, which added a touch of class to the warm seafood appetizer (€16) and the mixed fried fish (€18). With roasted fish (€25), water, two glasses of wine, and coffee, €85—excellent value.

We walked past La Lisca the night before and noticed how packed it was, which is usually a good sign. We came back the following evening and were so glad we did. La Lisca feels like a modern take on Sicilian cuisine while still staying true to local flavours and ingredients. The restaurant strikes a wonderful balance between contemporary and authentic. We started with the raw seafood selection featuring carpaccio, tartare, red shrimp, scampi, and squid. Everything tasted exceptionally fresh and beautifully prepared. The marinara pasta with squid, prawns, and mussels was excellent, but the standout dish for us was the swordfish rolls served on Sicilian caponata. It somehow managed to be both hearty and elegant at the same time, and was one of my favourite dishes from our time in Sicily. The desserts were also fantastic and rounded out the meal perfectly. The service deserves special mention. The team provided excellent food and wine recommendations, and every suggestion was a winner. This was one of those restaurants where dishes arriving at neighbouring tables kept making us wonder if we should have ordered that as well, because everything looked so good. The atmosphere is relaxed and stylish, with a contemporary feel that still reflects its Sicilian roots. Highly recommended for anyone looking for exceptional seafood and a modern Sicilian dining experience in Syracuse. Tip: Trust the recommendations. They clearly know the menu inside and out.

We just had dinner here and without a doubt it's the best place in Syracuse/Ortigia. The langoustine ravioli are amazing and the spaghetti with raw prawns is incredible. For antipasti we ordered the mixed raw appetizers which were delicious.

The short version: YOU MUST VISIT THIS DISH. Lisca was the best restaurant we visited in Syracuse. It's located just outside Ortigia and is easily reachable on foot. Beautifully situated in tall, stone, former warehouses of the port, it offers truly unique cuisine and impeccable service. We ate, among other things, mussels in Gorgonzola (I hadn't tried it before, but it's fantastic), fish carpaccio, warm seafood, and wonderful desserts. They also have good wines. A great combination is to visit the restaurant after a performance at the nearby Greek theater, which is what we did. Food is served until late at night. Overall, we found the restaurant amazing; the food was magical, and the service simply perfect. We went there twice. Thank you to the team.

Highly recommended. We visited La Lisca last week for dinner for two. Everything was delicious, from the tartare to the cuttlefish, the fish rolls, and the wine. The staff was super friendly and professional.

Superb meal with great menu and wine list. More expensive than others nearby but definitely worth the €s.
