A feast for the senses, from taste to sight, both of the dishes that resemble paintings and, no less, the splendid view of the Aeolian Islands that can be admired from the restaurant's windows, so clean it seems they're not there.

The elegantly furnished restaurant offers a culinary journey of excellent quality and locally sourced ingredients. The staff is extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. 12/03/2026: A rustic, difficult-to-reach restaurant located on the dark outskirts of Salemi. Despite the sometimes arduous route, the restaurant has a pleasant, rural feel and lends itself to charming, scenic corners. The set menu has increased in price, but the food is still plentiful and tasty, featuring a wide variety of meats, vegetables, and local delicacies. I didn't like the "ammogghio" (anchovy paste) that's placed in the center of the table before you even order, probably because it mistakenly contained a sugary component that isn't present in this type of recipe. Otherwise, everything was tasty and plentiful. The staff was helpful, polite, and disciplined. Nicolò and Angela in particular were lively and cheerful throughout the service. I appreciated the ability to take away any leftover food on small trays. Congratulations to the kitchen team. The only drawback was that I couldn't book because the online number didn't match, or no one answered, or worse, you have to book at least two months in advance. All in all, a pleasant place and good food.

Let me start by saying something important: (I'm a very particular person) I have delicate intolerances to gluten, milk, and dairy products. I'm also extremely sensitive to flavors, textures, and balance. For me, every detail counts, for better or for worse. Precisely for this reason, I can say that the experience was intense and mindful. I perceived study, research, respect for the ingredients, and great care in adapting the menu to my dietary needs without making me feel "limited," but rather valued. The dishes were elegant, balanced, and never overdone. Each course had a clear identity and a coherence of flavors that I deeply appreciated. I was able to savor every bite carefully, without feeling overwhelmed or compromised. The service was attentive, professional, and never intrusive. You could sense a young but highly trained team with a clear vision. Overall, I was very satisfied. Sapio represents a wonderful level of dining for Catania, and I encourage the team to continue on this path! They are offering high-quality service, with personality and character. Well done!

18/12/2025: My partner and I have visited the restaurant several times, and each time has been a pleasant surprise. Chef Gaetano Varco constantly creates new dishes based on his culinary imagination, and he even shared a sampling with us. On the first occasion, he personally selected our menu based on our tastes, and we were delighted. Nowadays, when we think of a restaurant that also guarantees quality with the freshest fish, we can't help but choose it.

20/03/2026: The atmosphere was intimate and welcoming. We ordered first courses, and they were truly excellent, prepared with care and attention. The service was impeccable, with helpful yet discreet recommendations. I was amazed by the chocolate dessert, enhanced by a delicate touch of olive oil and grains of salt that amplified its flavor.
