A very welcoming and well-kept place, perfect for a pleasant dinner. I tried the horse meat and it was truly tender and flavorful, while the dessert was a wonderful finale. The staff is friendly and approachable: Alessandro in particular made us feel truly at ease. The only small flaw is a bit of smoke in the room, but overall it was a very positive experience. I'll definitely be back!

It's the first time I've eaten at this place and honestly I never expected such quality. I haven't eaten donkey meat of this quality for a long time, even the horse meat and the meatballs are of such high quality both in the meat and the side dishes with a terrific Catania salad, the bread, the wine all of very high quality, last but not least the service with the boy in the dining room very good with advice and dedicated time to each table. What can I say? Perfect price for what you eat 25 euros per person but with such a quality of meat and that quantity there is scary highly recommended 10/10

A great surprise! Friendly and helpful staff. A no-frills, welcoming place, ideal for both groups and small tables. Mixed grilled horse meat for two was SUPERB. Truly excellent food, from the meat to the (homemade) dessert. First time in a long series 😁😁.

Santa Maria La Strada, Giarre, CT. Via Ruggero I, 40. The food we tried was good. The service was a bit chaotic, but that was largely due to the fact that the place was really busy. Overall, we had a great evening.

06/04/2026: Sweet and savory... there's something for everyone, and no one will be disappointed. The cafeteria, pastry shop, granitas, and gelato are second to none among the "big names" of Catania's tradition. Di Dio pastry shop is a jewel in Catania's crown.
03/04/2026: Among the best cafes in the Catania area. A wide selection of breakfasts and desserts, and very kind and helpful staff. The pastries are a must-try if you're in Catania for tourism or otherwise. Satisfied, we'll be back soon.

02/03/2026: Last night, and for me it wasn't just dinner, but a complete sensory experience. Let me start by saying something important: (I'm a very particular person) I have delicate intolerances to gluten, milk, and dairy products. I'm also extremely sensitive to flavors, textures, and balance. For me, every detail counts, for better or for worse. Precisely for this reason, I can say that the experience was intense and mindful. I perceived study, research, respect for the ingredients, and great care in adapting the menu to my dietary needs without making me feel "limited," but rather valued. The dishes were elegant, balanced, and never overdone. Each course had a clear identity and a coherence of flavors that I deeply appreciated. I was able to savor every bite carefully, without feeling overwhelmed or compromised. The service was attentive, professional, and never intrusive. You could sense a young but highly trained team with a clear vision. Overall, I was very satisfied. Sapio represents a wonderful level of dining for Catania, and I encourage the team to continue on this path! They are offering high-quality service, with personality and character. Well done!
20/02/2026: The atmosphere is impeccably maintained and the food delicious. An experience worth treating yourself to every now and then.
