The fried calamar was delicious and the pasta a la Norma nicely served. We also ordered a chicken breast but it was too much. Portions are pretty big. Many thanks. We had a great time.✨

18/03/2025: I am so happy about finding this restaurant. They made some of the tastiest dishes I’ve ever eaten, and that at a very reasonable price! The service was very quick and nice, they even spoke a little bit of English (the necessities) so we could understand each other despite our rough Italian. The menu doesn‘t really offer options for vegetarians/vegans, so if you don‘t eat animals (or their products), this isn‘t the right place for you. The restaurant is located not far away from touristic hot spots, but still far enough to preserve Sicilian charm. I also really liked that the workers and the guests all seemed to know each other, it felt very homely and safe. There are three tables outdoors, but they are essentially placed on the street. I didn‘t mind much, because there was a protection so you didn‘t feel any wind from the cars, and the owners placed plants for further separation. The prices were very very reasonable, almost a bit low (for me as a tourist). I cannot describe in words how good the food was. I tried two main dishes with seafood. The wine was nothing special but cheap and complimentary. Overall a really really good experience and one of the best memories from my vacation. Thank you!!

22/03/2025: My visit to La Macina was an absolute highlight! From the moment you enter the restaurant, you sense the authentic Sicilian ambiance – warm, inviting, and designed with great attention to detail. The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive. You immediately feel welcome and well looked after. About the food: I tried various antipasti, which were superbly seasoned and perfectly presented – a real treat! The steak was cooked to perfection, juicy, and of the highest quality. It was accompanied by an excellent red wine that perfectly complemented the food. Even the bread was exceptionally good – fresh, crispy, and full of flavor. An all-around perfect evening! If you're looking for authentic Sicilian cuisine with excellent service and a beautiful ambiance, you shouldn't miss La Macina. I'll definitely be back!

10/04/2025: Nice and comfortable environment, there aren't many tables so if you want to be sure of finding free seats you have to book in advance, but this also makes the place less noisy than the people's voices. Accurate and kind service Really good food, we had first courses, second courses, side dishes and coffee and nothing to complain about. The only flaw was the bill as I don't know if it was a mistake or not we paid for the side dishes separately from the second course, in theory paying €8 for a meatball and another 5 for the vegetable side dish seems a bit pricey to me. I consider it a mistake but if it wasn't I would recommend thinking about it. For the rest I definitely recommend it.

01/04/2025: The tavern has become a pizzeria and opposite a restaurant (from the same owner) with a pleasant setting and a sober and chic decor. We went to the restaurant: the dishes are very good, the service pleasant with a very welcoming and smiling team. I recommend!

06/03/2025: Best restaurant of our trip. The food was delicious! The service was outstanding. We were lucky to discover this hidden gem during our first night so we had chance to visit next day for lunch before leaving Marsala. People were very friendly, fried artichoke is top, pasta is amazing. Only this place can be your reason to visit Sicily itself. Thank you nice people for the incredible food!

23/03/2025: Characteristic place near the Bagheria train station. Clean and welcoming environment, rustic furnishings with a typical Sicilian menu. Tasty and light pizza. The only flaw: you can feel the table and chairs shaking slightly when the trains pass... Otherwise recommended☺️.

01/04/2025: The castle has large and clean rooms equipped with all comforts. The restaurant is very nice and we liked everything we ordered: pasta, meat, pizza and the novelty of the really excellent pan. Prices more than fair considering the generosity of the dishes. I highly recommend.

08/04/2025: Perfectly located premises - opposite the castle ruins. Beer only from a bottle, food good. I ate pane - a large portion. A place in full sun. The only shadow is when the staff open the umbrellas.
