02/03/2025: On Saturday 1 March at lunchtime, a colleague of mine and I decide to have lunch at the "Masseria del Sale" farmhouse restaurant in Manduria, a place that promises a high-level culinary experience in a rustic and evocative atmosphere. The part relating to the restaurant is well renovated, with star vaults and the presence of fireplaces. Tables and chairs have small deficiencies (some dirty seats); unkept parking; large table in a nave with kitchen utensils in evidence. The service is of good evidence, with attentive, courteous staff always available to satisfy every request. Let me start by saying that there were no other tables occupied and there was only one waiter serving. As for the food, the quality is unquestionable even if some dishes are better prepared than others, both in terms of flavors and presentation. I personally particularly enjoyed the artichoke appetizer. The dessert was normal and without great pretensions. However, there is one aspect that left me perplexed and which, unfortunately, clouded the overall experience: the price. The final bill was decidedly exaggerated compared to what was served. Despite the quality of the food and service, the prices are out of the market and not justified compared to the dishes. I expected a more balanced quality-price ratio, and although I understand the increase in the prices of raw materials and the maintenance of the structure, it is not possible to offer such an exaggerated final cost. This is not a starred restaurant. In conclusion, "La Masseria del Sale" offers an experience not worthy of full evaluation and the high price makes it difficult to justify a return or an unreserved recommendation. I would recommend this restaurant only to those willing to spend a lot without evaluating the quality/price ratio. Certainly there is an awareness that the perceived value is not entirely in line with the cost incurred. I highlight that my review is in line with many others. I suggest, given the potential of the structure, to reevaluate the cost or, if left unchanged, to provide an Experience worthy of what is requested. Rating: 3.5/5 (due to excessive prices and an offline experience)

08/12/2024: We had lunch today on the occasion of the Feast of the Immaculate Conception with friends, we were really happy. Very welcoming place, cleanliness at its best, service top notch, very delicious food, compliments to the chef who owns the place. Good value for money, we will definitely be back.

06/02/2025: A restaurant with a complete food and wine offer and very refined in the choice of dishes and wine list. Competent staff, from the kitchen team to the service. Highly recommended.

02/02/2025: We were 3 people for dinner Sitting at a small square table where movement was difficult and space for dishes on the tetris-like table.... But that's not the real problem... Ordered in advance of pistachio to divide into 3.... The serious problem was the bill... beyond the cost of €12 per person for a paltry starter... the pasta cost €12 on the menu... the entire portion.... instead they charged us €3 tastings at €9 per person... basically €27 for three tastings.... We would have taken 2 portions and paid less.... at this point we also wanted to pay for the pizza in 3 tastings.... you pay for tastings anyway... We pointed out the problem to the owner on the receipt... he replied that the tastings cost €9 while the whole portion costs €12... but we had asked for a portion to share.... not 3 tastings....! It was done on purpose to squeeze out another €15 from an invented tasting... these are the prices around, says the owner... I, who am always around for work in the best restaurants, with €35 I eat starter, first course and second course based on fish... nothing more than tastings...

06/02/2025: Tonight we ordered two pizzas and two panzerotti with just eat. The order arrived on time, the pizzas were of excellent quality both for the honeycomb, crunchy and light dough and for the fresh and deliciously scented toppings. The crunchy and super stuffed panzerotti. I recommend everyone to enjoy these delicacies with just one precaution: they are addictive!!!!!!!! Congratulations to all the staff🔝

27/01/2025: Very rustic place, excellent thin pizza, good leavening, good raw materials used. The choice of starters is a bit limited. Fair prices.

17/01/2025: Despite being a small and a little dated place, the pizza is exceptional. Excellent products and leavening. Usually I can eat no more than 2 slices of pizza, but I almost finished this one and I didn't feel heavy. Top

10/01/2025: Such a fun spot on a Friday night! It was packed but the service at the bar was great and we managed to find a table after a little while. Excellent selection of wine, beer, and cocktails!

19/12/2024: Location with perfect atmosphere and good food (to be paired with an infinite number of wines). The staff makes you feel at home... I always come back willingly!

03/02/2025: Oramai sono diversi anni che vado in questo locale "da Gianni" fin da quando si trovava nella vecchia sede in centro storico a Martina Franca (questo locale si trovava subito dopo l'Arco sulla sinistra) e devo dire che la qualità è rimasta sempre la stessa è alta!!! La pizza 🍕 è sempre eccezionale preparata con ingredienti di alta qualità e genuini. Tra l'altro è anche molto digeribile. Gli antipasti sono tutti eccezionali e si respira un'aria di casa familiare. Per non parlare dei dolci che sono tutti buonissimi. Io sono stato a Capodanno con la mia famiglia e tra l'altro i camerieri sono stati velocissimi a servire ed era tutto ben organizzato erano un ottima squadra nonostante la confusione della vigilia di Capodanno!!! Continua così Gianni sei una garanzia ormai su Martina Franca sei il Top. Buona serata ciaoo.

01/02/2025: Pizze d'asporto:abbiamo pagato pagato 50 euro per sole 4 pizze tra l altro sulla mia che doveva essere bianca datterino giallo stracciatella e basilico ma in realtà ho ricevuto una suola di gomma bagnata senza crudo che ho pagato senza basilico cartone zuppo di acqua ho strizzato la pizza sembrava di aver strizzato una pezza bagnata! Insipida e anche scocciati nel servizio sembra che le pizze dovevano farcele gratis mi scoccia riprendere la macchina e tornare lì altrimenti da pizzaiola tornerei li è la lancerei tipo freesbee non torneremo mai più! È vero capisco che è sabato che c'è gente ma il lavoro è questo e a noi ci hanno arronzato in pieno... pietà

25/09/2024: be aware that if you go on a Saturday they don't cut pizzas or cakes! as soon as you open the menu, a 5% discount is offered (I think) in exchange for a 5 star review, you can understand a lot from this... pizzas ok, leave the meat alone. I asked for a rare cut, but there was no trace of blood... meh

26/01/2025: Nice place, refined furnishings and crockery, excellent quality food. Mimmo, the owner, always present and attentive as well as the staff. The only small problem is the location in the restricted traffic zone, so it is best to get a pass to enter to accompany people who have difficulty walking. But this is just advice. For the rest, the restaurant is a really nice experience that makes it worth going there.

26/12/2024: Amazing food! We had truffle - a great place to try this. I would suggest going for a menu with black truffle (no need to choose the white). Special appreciation for the foccacia with truffle mortadella 😍

03/02/2025: Thank you for making Ilaria's eighteenth dream come true, fantastic location, everything taken care of down to the smallest detail, impeccable service, thanks to the maître d' di dining room Daniele, who carefully followed each course, from the welcome cocktail outside with scenographic effects, thanks to Mr. Martino, with the first courses with an exhilarating flavour, it's a shame I didn't have an encore of the pork fillet in a crust with roast sauce and potatoes because I was really full, but I couldn't help but eat the delicious cake. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to Mr. Piero who fulfilled Ilaria's wish with excellence.

17/01/2025: It was a satisfaction to wake up this morning and receive compliments from friends and relatives for the party. Yesterday January 16th we celebrated my son's 18th birthday at Villa dei Sogno. I have no words.... Piero the owner always present in the room to check that everything was perfect. DANIELE, MARTINO AND FATI were kind and available to all the guests, they went around the tables often to ask if we needed anything, and if everything was ok. For those who liked a particular course, they pampered everyone by offering an encore without being asked but only with their attention to the guests. What can I say..... the room is wonderful but thanks to their work it truly becomes the Villa of dreams. Thank you thank you thank you everything is great

03/03/2025: Very good pizza, thin and with little edge is certainly their sign of recognition. Quality of the dough and ingredients used. They are an institution here in Grottaglie! Fast service, kind and attentive to customer needs. Really good!
