13/10/2025: If you're a fan of sophisticated table settings, this isn't your place: paper placemats, glasses reminiscent of old-fashioned taverns. However, if you want to eat well and in quantity, go to this place. The seafood dishes are truly tasty. The staff is a bit rustic, but they quickly loosen up and become friendly. Fair prices. It's a place you'll want to return to. I recommend making a reservation; it's a restaurant loved by many.

21/10/2025: Superb restaurant, quaint location, and truly excellent dishes. We had the mixed appetizers, which were as good as a dinner and more...both meat and fish, and all truly delicious. As was the dessert buffet, all truly exceptional. The courtesy and friendliness of the owner and all the staff is remarkable. We'll be back!

14/09/2025: Superb B&B. The apartment Simone gave us was beautiful, spotlessly clean, and in a great location for visiting the various surrounding villages and towns. The restaurant was a special experience, with chef Simone explaining each course, and the superb service topping it all off. Thank you again, Simone, for your hospitality and the culinary experience you provided, and of course, for all the tips you gave us about both sightseeing and cooking.

13/07/2025: We had a wonderful meal at Osteria Due Mari in Taranto! The orecchiette with turnip greens and mussels were exceptional—flavorful, well-balanced, and authentic. The sautéed mussels were also delicious, with the perfect seasoning. A traditional and welcoming restaurant with truly excellent cuisine—highly recommended! My husband said: "I finally found Taranto mussels!"

03/11/2025: Hello, we had a very delicious meal: refried beans, pasta with mussels, and filled tortellini with pumpkin sauce and bacon. Everything was great! Only the two white wines left something to be desired and were very acidic.

The ambiance is the first thing that strikes you: a quaint and well-kept place that magically transports you to the atmosphere of a 1950s movie. A truly magical touch that makes the wait and dinner feel timeless. But the real added value is the person behind the counter. The owner has a rare and special humanity. From the first moment, he was affable, welcoming, and made me feel immediately at ease. We chatted at length, not just about pizza, and his presence transformed a simple dinner into a genuine and pleasant encounter. And then there's the pizza: simply fantastic. A sublime quality that perfectly matches the ambiance and hospitality. It's not just a pizzeria, it's an experience. Highly recommended for those looking not only for excellent pizza, but also for a smile and a big heart. I'll definitely be back!

31/10/2025: It's hard to explain what Giuseppe has in his soul. He's complex, sincere, but above all, he has a heart of gold. After visiting this place seven times, I've decided to write a review. Behind his frank and sincere demeanor, Giuseppe is a well of knowledge. He's a humble man, yet he brings with him an infinite wealth of knowledge. Don't go to Giuseppe if you want to be mocked for his gourmet and fake ingredients. Go only if you want a genuine person, who uses simple but top-quality ingredients. Don't go to Giuseppe if you want a quick pizza. Go if you want to feel at home, welcomed by a host who would treat you like friends and family. His shortcrust pastry with buffalo ricotta, mozzarella, and salami is out of this world. His montanarina has given meaning to the technique of frying, and his marinara with Cetara anchovies has literally stunned all those pizza makers who find sophisticated pizzas lacking in technique and, consequently, taste. Don't go to Giuseppe if you're looking for kid-friendly service. But go to him if you want to eat pizza like it's truly eaten in Naples (not with self-celebratory dishes from the pizza chef on duty, but on blotting paper). Giuseppe is friendly, but above all sweet. Where everyone else gets their pastry from third parties, he puts on his night shift after a day's work and still works. I can't say enough about the prices, except that I think they should be slightly higher given the products he uses. I think he's a guy we should all appreciate, considering ourselves lucky to have him here. Anyone else would be elsewhere. Giuseppe offers everyone an experience. Walk in that door and in three seconds you're catapulted into a very authentic and vibrant Naples. For better or worse, this is Tutta Nata's story!

09/11/2025: A fantastic experience when we, as foreigners, dropped in and were given a seat without a reservation, on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was full, with large groups, two tables where two older gentlemen were celebrating their birthdays with their families and a few more tables of friends or acquaintances, where we never felt like we didn't belong there. The wonderful lady who served us brought us tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms to try, and a small dessert at the end, free of charge, a very kind and pleasant lady. This time, warm greetings to her. The food was excellent, the lasagna was the tastiest and the bombettes were extraordinary.

02/11/2025: The appetizer and meat were good, but the only flaw was that you missed out on a coffee...out of 160 euros, you included 8 euros for 4 coffees...make yourself loved, at the end of lunch, treat yourself to a coffee. You'll make a good impression and it won't cost you anything.

01/10/2025: Simply amazing!!! Delicious, filling, homemade Italian dishes, both with and without meat. The place isn't too eye-catching, but don't let that fool you. The interior is simply furnished. Behind the glass counter, numerous meals are displayed, all purchased individually. The taste is incredible. The dishes are perfectly seasoned and filling – I ate much more than I needed because it was so delicious. The prices are commensurate with the quality and quantity. The staff is friendly, smiling, and engaging in conversation. As for the owners, we communicate in Italian or via Google Translate – it's very helpful. I highly recommend this place, and if the opportunity arises, I'll eat here again. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

26/11/2025: What can I say... The quality of the food is truly excellent... The service is quite slow... only one person serving... The prices are quite high for the small quantity of food... Would NOT return.

23/11/2025: Seafood restaurant located in the old town of Taranto. The atmosphere is truly lovely, the staff is polite and very helpful. The only flaw... the food: the mixed appetizers, six courses for €20, weren't exactly impressive. The only noteworthy dish, in terms of flavor, was the gratinated mussels (unfortunately, the mussels were really small and not very full). The baked sea bass was much better. Taste, as we know, is subjective, but I expect much more from a seafood restaurant in Taranto.

14/10/2025: TOURISTS, MIND THE BILL We began our lunch around 1:00 PM by ordering two appetizers from "Hostaria La Serra" for three to share, as recommended by the host, before ordering the rest. The host was very friendly from the start... perhaps a little too friendly, in hindsight. Around 1:50 PM, with a flight to catch, we realized we had to interrupt the delivery of the remaining appetizer (still in progress) and couldn't order anything else. In addition to the two appetizers (from the menu, €16 each, €32 total, which we intended to pay in full despite not being able to finish them), we ordered a bottle of still water (€3), a small bottled beer (€3), and a coffee (€1), in addition to a €2.50 cover charge per person (€7.50). At the checkout, satisfied with the quality of the food and confused by the host's friendly chatter, we paid €55 in cash without thinking twice. Once in the car, we realized the bill didn't add up and that we didn't even have a proof of purchase to check the bill. Unable to go back, we decided to call politely and ask for an explanation. The call seemed garbled and confusing, and we were told we'd receive a photo on WhatsApp with the billing details. Two days later, we still haven't received anything. In conclusion: the food was good, but we were very disappointed by the lack of clarity on the bill. Therefore, don't be as naive as we were and check before paying and leaving, especially if you've made the mistake of telling the host you're not a local.

13/10/2025: We had a very nice dinner at Hostaria La Serrra. Very nice fresh seasonal products and very good service. Certainly a place to go back to.

18/06/2025: Business trip, we looked online and chose this place for the very positive reviews. It was a weekday lunch, the place was empty. In addition to us, 2 other tables. Food that combines refined flavors with tradition. Attention to detail, both in the dish and in the dishes. Very quiet place, soft atmosphere in the center of Massafra. Kind and professional waiters. We were in a bit of a hurry so we couldn't enjoy our lunch break for long. Fewer dishes to choose from, better.

13/05/2025: Ero stato con mia moglie 2 anni fa con una piacevole esperienza, come da mia recensione. Siamo tornati con 2 amici ed in verità siamo rimasti delusi. Abbiamo ordinato 2 antipasti (per 4 persone), veramente misero con pochissime cose e porzioni ridotte. (Premetto che non abbiamo ordinato il crudo di mare come l'altra volta). Come primo abbiamo ordinato tutti i paccheri ai frutti di mare che erano la fotocopia in bianconero di quelli di 2 anni prima (sembravano riscaldati e con pochissimi frutti di mare e con le bucce delle vongole sotto i denti). Per secondo abbiamo preso una sperlunga centrale di frittura di pesce misto (buona), una bottiglia di vino fichimori, 4 dolcetti e 4 caffè. Preciso che il locale è accogliente ed i bagni puliti. Chiedo il conto e mi trovo una cifra spropositata, 240 euro, per quello che abbiamo mangiato, pago e zitto. Sarà capitato una giornata storta, forse la festa Patronale, ma sono rimasto molto deluso, al massimo mi aspettavo 180. Oltretutto i tavoli non hanno neanche il tovagliato e questo è antipatico e poco igienico perché il tovagliolo e le posate inevitabilmente poggiano sul tavolo. Insomma non penso di ritornare visto che la qualità è scesa ed il prezzo, in rapporto a 2 anni prima è raddoppiato quasi.
