15/05/2026: Lots of appearances, but little substance. Unfortunately, the meal was marred by the incessant barking of a dog, ignored by both the owners and the restaurant staff. It was almost impossible to speak, and the space was so small and stuffy that the only thing left to do was run away, as the poor dog would have wanted... Since it's incredibly expensive, it's not worth the risk.

01/07/2026: Trattoria/deli with a variety of excellent dishes. Generous portions and very affordable (we're in Martina Franca, and the prices are insane just a few hundred meters away). A family-friendly atmosphere, with friendly and helpful owners. It's a must-try! 😊

04/07/2026: We chose this restaurant for a family dinner last night (table of 6), and the experience far exceeded our expectations. The seafood menu truly surprised us with the quality of the ingredients and the balance of flavors: everything was delicious, light, and meticulously prepared. The atmosphere is delightful, and the service was highly professional and courteous. This place is definitely worth a visit...I highly recommend it ❤️

27/06/2026: We ended up here twice during our stay in Taranto, which probably says more than anything else I could write. The pizza is exactly what I hope for when I’m in southern Italy. The dough is clearly long-proofed, with real flavor and a crust that’s light, crisp, and beautifully balanced. The classics are treated with respect, and the more inventive pizzas never feel like they’re trying too hard. They still taste like pizza, just with thoughtful combinations that work. We also shared the fried bucatini, béchamel, and cheese ball special, which was a fun starter for the table, and the fries were about as close to perfect as fries get. There are plenty of places to eat in Taranto. This was one we kept thinking about, so we came back. Super casual, small, two tables outside, clearly popular for takeaway… staff is so very welcoming and friendly.

09/04/2026: I stopped by at lunchtime for two pizzas and in the evening for dinner: antipasti, pasta and a magnificent dessert. The service was impeccable, really nothing to complain about – quick and very welcoming!

26/04/2026: April 25, 2026, booked at this educational farm located near Lizzano and adjacent to the famous DUE PALME winery. Plenty of space, a swimming pool, a children's playground, a huge soccer field (or other field), and a designated area for those who want to prepare their own meals or have a picnic, with benches and tables under the olive trees, therefore in the shade, and a series of stations for grilling meat or other dishes. I think there are two options: have everything prepared by the restaurant and they'll let you know when it's ready and you have to go and pick it up, or you can make your own, but obviously buy everything you need from them—sausage, chicken livers, bombette, and more, including drinks—meaning it seems like you can't bring anything from home. We ate inside, a rustic restaurant with wooden tables and chairs. The set menu included a fairly varied and plentiful appetizer, everything was good, followed by a first and second course of meat. They use lemon extensively, for those who like it, creating some unique dishes. As mentioned, the Masseria is attached, adjacent to the Due Palme winery, so we expected a wider selection of wines for those who wanted to go beyond the set menu, but that's not the case, even if the few they did have were still appreciated.

12/07/2026: I stumbled upon this place a bit by chance while browsing Google Maps, and it was the best coincidence of the day. We were greeted by the incredibly kind and knowledgeable staff, ready to accommodate even the most complicated needs. We ate the shrimp in kataifi pasta twice (and once was not enough), which were indescribably delicious. Compliments to the chef. To continue our journey, we ordered pacchero ai due mari (pasta with two seas) and orecchiette with turnips and mussels... indescribable... a unique delicacy. To finish off, we ordered a mixed grill and a mixed fried fish platter... guys, I cried as soon as I tasted the grilled tuna... butter, an explosion of flavor that I don't think I've ever tasted in my life. Thank you all for introducing us to our go-to place for future trips to Taranto. PS. To make sure we don't miss anything, we've booked a restaurant at one of their restaurants for this evening!!
