26/04/2026: Lunch on April 25th, so a fixed menu (I don't know if this is how it usually works). Relatively quick service, informal atmosphere. The dishes didn't particularly impress me. I found the quality of the cured meats (capocollo and salami) very good, but the cheeses were less so (tasteless mozzarella, for example). The pizzaiola-style meatballs were quite tough, difficult to cut with a knife, and it was even hard to tell they were pizzaiola-style! The single-serving potato dishes here, however, were more flavorful. The first courses were decent, generous enough, both for the trofie with pistachio pesto, pancetta, and bacon, and the orecchiette with cherry tomatoes, dates, or cheese. The second course, featuring a mixed roast, consisting of sausage, pancetta, and breaded bombette, was a bit disappointing and not particularly flavorful. The jam tart, which seemed to be one of those pre-packaged supermarket ones. Overall, a full 5. I don't think I'll go back.

06/04/2026: The owners are incredibly kind and welcoming, the food is excellent, the authentic flavors of family-run Mediterranean cuisine, and the portions are generous. It's a real joy to return!

04/04/2026: Bring your appetite! Great meal in a comfortable, clean and friendly environment. We had the chef's choice for appetizers, tortolone, and the Angus beef. It was all quite delicious. I will return. It is a family run restaurant and they make you feel like family. Call ahead and get a reservation (they speak English).

11/04/2026: We went for lunch the other day before returning to work. The staff were very kind and friendly, both the place and the staff were very clean. We didn't have to wait long, both because of the wait and the speed of delivery. The dishes were exquisite. We ordered the daily menu, excellent and delicious. Nothing to complain about. The place is imaginative and very welcoming. The staff makes you feel right at home. And what about dessert? A special salted caramel panna cotta, delicious. Very reasonable and excellent value for money. Not only do you find cooked dishes, but you can also find packaged pasta, a great selection of cured meats and cheeses, top-quality wines, and even top-notch liqueurs.

15/04/2026: A Grottaglie institution by now. If you're looking for a more "classic" pizza—or, more accurately, not Neapolitan/gourmet—this is the ideal place for excellent, no-frills pizza.

23/02/2026: Asterisks to indicate frozen dishes on a menu would be mandatory, but here they're omitted. If a customer is asked to cook the meat, it's because it's a red meat; white meats, including pork, must be served well done (HACCP standards). A burger is considered 100% beef; if the meat is different or mixed, it must be on the menu. Pork shank and entrecôte are best avoided; I paid €34 for 300 grams of entrecôte (menu price €7.50/kg).

26/04/2026: Top marks for the quality, service, and excellent cuisine! Friendly, unpretentious, they offer endless indulgence with quality, local food, no frills, but with great care for the location and, above all, the food. A Slow Food Presidium discovered thanks to the people who rented their apartment to us for the weekend. We went with our 4-year-old...he was also super happy, and he finished the meal with a strawberry sorbet that reminded me of the one my grandmother used to make for me at home. Eating here is an experience I would repeat a thousand times!

The simple outdoor seating is delightful, offering one of the most beautiful views of Grottaglie's historic center. The friendly and knowledgeable staff will be happy to recommend everything from aperitifs to after-dinner cocktails, including a wide selection of gins and a good glass of wine.
