15/09/2025: Two hours—and I mean two hours—of waiting, and when it finally comes, the insult comes: three out of six items are missing, paid for and forgotten. The food, let's be clear, isn't the problem: good, with a varied and tasty menu. Two hours of waiting can still pass, albeit with difficulty, but discovering that, after so long, what we'd already paid for had been "forgotten" is a far greater affront than the slowness. It's not a matter of distraction, but of disrespect: the customer is not an optional extra to be treated lightly. The sore point, however, isn't limited to the wait or the inefficiency. What makes the experience truly indigestible is the attitude of the ladies at the counter: a lethal cocktail of rudeness, arrogance, and impoliteness that manages to sap even the last vestige of appetite. The feeling isn't of being welcomed, but barely tolerated, as if the customer were an intruder and not the very reason for the business. Bottom line: the food is good, but there's no fried food in the world worth two hours of humiliation and waiting. If patience were edible, I'd leave feeling full.

26/08/2025: Excellent food, a little small in the place as there is limited seating. Takeaway is more convenient.

29/05/2026: Good quality pizza, rotisserie, and spumoni. The lady at the cashier is very unwelcoming, and the atmosphere is very basic.

24/03/2026: €18 per kg for an onion focaccia is really too much... €22 per kg "li pizzi".... has all of Lecce gone crazy with these prices??

12/11/2025: After accepting a reservation on The Fork for a special occasion and driving over 40 minutes to get there, we discovered at 8:58 PM (in front of the locked door) that the place was closed. A word of advice: if you're not capable of presenting yourself online with any dignity, go back to the old-fashioned word of mouth; at least you won't ruin your (former) customers' evenings.

10/10/2025: Short experience. We booked through TheFork... from the outside it looked like a really nice place but... when we entered, the door wouldn't open... no one to greet us... we discovered that the door opens almost by pushing it from the inside, and in fact a customer opens the door for us... we went in... we waited... 5 minutes and no one greeted us... the restaurant wasn't even full... finally, a girl came out and showed us to a room completely different from the rest of the averagely elegant restaurant... the room where we sat instead had white and green checked tablecloths... paper if I remember correctly... after a while, the girl came back with the menus... pizza menu... she told us that they tried to call us to tell us they only did pizza but obviously on the phone, no missed calls... of course she could have told the receptionist at the counter before seating us... we got up and left... nice place... poorly managed in my opinion... ability to interact with the customer is zero.

26/08/2025: While strolling through the town streets before dinner, we stumbled upon this truly charming and unique bar. The many positive reviews of their drinks piqued our curiosity, and we can confirm: they're truly worth it! 🍸 Michele, who looked after us, was kind and attentive, as well as very skilled at making cocktails. He also recommended some local gins, making the experience even more enjoyable. A truly memorable place, definitely worth a visit.

24/08/2025: Rude waiters and owner. There are much friendlier places all around that serve happy hour aperitif with food included in their drink price. View is not great.

07/05/2026: Nothing special. The meals were decent. Except for the seafood salad, which contained seafood in vinegar. Prices were high. Similar meals were half the price and looked better.

28/04/2026: A truly positive experience! The fish appetizers were truly excellent, with the freshest, highest-quality raw fish. The tartares were spectacular, but the real love affair was with the octopus sandwich, simply divine! We paired it all with an excellent wine. The prices were absolutely fair for the quality of the fish, and the service was quick and seamless.

30/11/2025: Very nice location. Everything was delicious; we chose the all-you-can-eat option. The staff was friendly and very honest, including the Japanese woman who, by mistake, came to ask about our order (they had mistakenly ordered 130 pieces). I recommend trying the Peking duck, gunkan with fried shrimp, and mille-feuille. The only downside is that the temperature is a bit cold.

06/04/2026: Well, what can I say? Eating at Chernobyl would have been healthier. Easter Monday, set menu for €25. We were sitting inside, there wasn't much room, the tables were crowded together, one person getting up could easily block everyone else's path. On the tables were small plates of rather shoddy cured meats, placed there who knows how long ago. They were also on tables where no one was sitting. The fried foods were the only decent thing, because they were definitely frozen. The first course was a sticky pasta dish with a sauce vaguely reminiscent of the one in the kindergarten cafeteria, disgusting, so much so that even the neighboring tables complained. The mixed grill was a total disaster. Burnt on the outside and raw on the inside. No salt, and it wasn't even on the table. We refused to eat dessert either. The NAS likes this element.

14/01/2026: ABSOLUTELY AVOID. I TAKE A PASTICCIOTTO AND I CAN'T EVEN BITE IT'S SO OLD. WHAT ARE THESE GENTLEMEN (let's call them that to avoid complaints) FEEDING PEOPLE???? LET'S HOPE THEY CONDUCT CHECKS AND CLOSE THEM DOWN SOON.

11/07/2026: We stayed a week in Torre San Giovanni...and besides the fantastic sea and the beautiful town, I will definitely remember this place: "Taverna antica"...welcoming and clean place, friendly, friendly, attentive and very helpful team...super owner (it's not often you find a polite, sociable man who dedicates a sliver of his precious time to customers) and finally, the food...so many choices between appetizers, first courses, second courses and pizzas...in three evenings we tried several things and what can I say...fresh, sublime and impeccable food...we felt at home and pampered!!!! Ad maiora guys, keep it up...congratulations! Ferrara family ❤️
