07/05/2025: I do not recommend this restaurant. The prices on the menu are not clearly indicated: we took a mixed grill of meat for two which we paid 50 euros and it was absolutely not worth it. In fact, it is mostly spiced pork (meatballs, skewers and the like) and just two decent slices of beef. Lots of smoke and no fire. Ugly place with hospital-like lights, inattentive, listless and distracted service. Rejected. Rating: 3/10

29/07/2025: We didn't stay overnight but came for dinner. It was beautiful 35euro for a 4 course meal and we were so full by the end we could barely finish. Fabulous service and almost felt like a home away from home. Grazie

15/07/2025: Seafood restaurant on a hill. During summer dinners, you can sit outside and enjoy a fantastic view of the lake and the sunset over the mountains. Very friendly and helpful staff.

10/06/2025: An exceptional focaccia! During our visit to Alberobello, we discovered the Tagliente Bakery—a true local gem. We tried their grain focaccia, and it was simply delicious: soft on the inside, crispy on the outside, with an authentic taste and generous flavors. The staff was welcoming and friendly, and the place exudes artisanal tradition. A must-see for lovers of good bakery!

23/02/2025: This small place just needs to open a restaurant next door and that's it. The food at 'Ready to eat Don Guanella' is simply the tastiest you can eat in the Via Giulio Petroni area, right up there with the Don Guanella retirement home. Lots of takeaways from the riders, lots of them. And many customers who, like me, come for a snack on their lunch break. What a snack it isn't, given that the portions are generous. You can choose between first courses in trays, second courses of all types, based on meat or fish, and side dishes of your choice. Yes you can also order for lunch or dinner. The cost is decidedly convenient: for me, who often eat here, I don't go beyond six euros to eat a portion of a second course of meat and side dish. Generous portions. And the two guys at the counter are truly special courtesy. Which, I always say, really makes the difference.

25/06/2025: Matcha literally tastes like sugar. I wouldn't recommend it. You can tell by the color it's bad. I guess the bartenders know this, because when I ordered it, they laughed in my face. My dad ordered lemonade, which was good, and my mom ordered a coffee, which was also delicious! In total, we paid 9.50 for the three items. The place is very cool and has a good atmosphere.

21/05/2025: Renovated place very nice and spacious with many seats. The choice is really wide, dishes made very well super tasty. The portions are at a fixed price and not by weight. The cover charge is included. Excellent stop for lunch break or also available for takeaway. Highly recommended

07/05/2025: This was absolutely the best "tavola calda" I've been to in Puglia. My Pugliese husband and I agree that the food is absolutely delicious and of high quality. There are many tasty primi (pastas, rice, parmigiana, etc.) and secondi (meat and fish) options as well as different vegetable preparations. We have visited here twice and both times the food was delectable. We usually order one pasta dish, 2 meat dishes, a plate of mixed vegetables, 2 rolls, and a bottle of water and the total is around 22€. I would highly recommend this place for the convenience, taste, and price. Also, the staff is so friendly and very kind and understanding with our toddler.

04/08/2025: Pesce freschissimo servito in ottica di tradizione Pugliese, pecorino assieme alle cozze, cruditè di alto livello e gentilezza del personale hanno reso questa un’esperienza ottima. Sicuramente un posto deve tornare quando saremo nella splendida Monopoli.

29/07/2025: By the port, great views, but disappointing food and service. Unwelcoming, we went in smiling and greeting the waiters before mentioning we had a reservation, the waiters — cross-armed and passive, did not even bother to say good evening. The bread served: stale and hard. When taking the order, the waiter barely spoke (not because he was incompetent in english, but simply, by choice.) The food on the other hand, very mediocre. Ordered the Tuna Carpaccio, uneven slices and wasn’t great fish (overly fishy). Also had the calamarata pasta and the seafood cavatelli pasta. The cavatelli was way too salty and one of the worse ones we’ve had on the trip, and the calamarata pasta was overly chewy and slightly undercooked. The monkfish ragout was thick and lacked flavour. The most disappointing experience on our Puglia trip so far, shame it was also our last night in Monopoli. Go somewhere else where the waiters actually have interest in serving and the food meets the standard of what the restaurant portrays.

05/08/2025: Buco Preferred has become a regular stop whenever I'm craving a properly made pizza. The atmosphere is simple yet welcoming, the service fast and friendly... but the real reason I always come back is the potatoes on the pizza. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and perfectly flavorful, they're the real touch of class. Not the usual potatoes thrown in just for bulk, but a key ingredient that pairs perfectly with any combination. I've tried several pizzas, but the one with potatoes, sausage, and rosemary is simply unbeatable.

20/07/2025: Locale scovato grazie a tripadvisor. Bella location interna. Esterni ben messi ma sul marciapiede anche se graziosamente delimitati. Personale simpatico e gentile. Menù ricci con tante scelte fuori carta. Pietanze ben preparate. Prezzi corretti. Da tornarci.

19/07/2025: In occasione di un pranzetto di famiglia, abbiamo deciso di sperimentare la nuova gestione di questo ristorante. Ci siamo trovati benissimo:hanno preparato per noi un ottimo piatto di cavatelli , cozze e vongole. Il ciccio, che abbiamo gustato mentre veniva preparata la frittura di pesce, è stara gustoso e croccante. Un mix di frutta e una delicatissima crema al caffè hanno concluso questo meraviglioso momento felice . Grazie mille ragazzi e alla prossima 🍀

15/07/2025: Excellent place for panzerotti and focaccia. The products are all delicious, made with the highest-quality ingredients. There's usually a long line, so you'll have to wait at least 15-20 minutes. I highly recommend everyone try it.
