06/08/2024: I don't usually review places to speak badly of them, I prefer not to go back again, but enough is enough. Let's start with the few positive things: welcoming place with a small play area with children (main reason for the choice), good quality raw materials and probably of local origin. More... nothingness. The preparation of the dishes is elementary with obvious combinations and no innovation, very repetitive (cabbage, cauliflower, black cabbage) The dishes are plated without care, the second courses served without side dishes cry out to the solitude of their empty plate. But let's go in order. Starter (table top) consisting of: 1, I mean 1 piece for each of the proposals...1 dumpling, 3 gr. of cod, 1 cm of filleted fish, a cup with liquid that looks (and tastes) like water for washing floors and so on. All at the modest cost of €12. Bowl of taralli and olives to be paid separately at €3 each. First courses: ravioli with cauliflower cream, good flavour, 4 cross ravioli, cost €12 (price indicated on the menu, but compared to the truly exorbitant quantity); linguine scampi and lime...only linguine and lime received...the scampi are so small that if you want you can eat them with the whole shell or leave them...and luckily we are in Bari where there is no shortage of fish and the costs are reasonable, if if we had been in Milan they would have put a photo of the scampi; Orecchiette with donkey ragout and black cabbage, tasty but nothing more. Second courses: beef in a taralli crust, or a cutlet worth €12; octopus, cauliflower and pumpkin, actually cuttlefish cut into pieces with the usual dominant vegetable (they were probably on offer at Lidl). Desserts: quite good, apart from the tiramisu where the ingredients were completely unrelated to each other, rightly served in a cappuccino cup because it could be drunk but not eaten. Let's now move on to the sore points. THE BILL. For what was ordered, we didn't think we could pay such an amount, but that's what it is. Perhaps we would have spent less in a starred restaurant. Absurd to charge 13 covers for 7 adults and 6 children who haven't even eaten. Absurd to charge €8 for a beer. Even worse is having to pay €3 separately for the bread. The clever move of asking if we would like a digestive, amaro, whisky... and then finding on the bill that the price of what was ordered was just €9 per glass. But the real icing on the cake was the arrogance with which we were treated, when we pointed out to the chef/owner that the relationship between their gastronomic offer and the price was absolutely unacceptable. We also went back to get the receipt which had not been delivered immediately and with great surprise we also noticed that they had applied a discount of €16... left on the card but not actually used. In the end we left with a bitter taste in our mouths and the clear feeling that catering is an art for the few... very far from this place. To never again!!!

16/04/2024: Small, but welcoming place in the heart of the city, with large equipped spaces outside. The main feature is the proven professionalism of the owner and employees, ready to captivate the customer with their mastery in creating the most varied cocktails and with the wide selection of beers, fine wines and spirits. Advised.

08/04/2024: One of my absolute favorite pizzerias in Gioia! I've been going there with a friend every weekend for several months. The owners are spectacular, they make you feel at ease, their pizzas and puccie are delicious prepared with the freshest, quality ingredients! I recommend anyone to go there because you will be satisfied.

29/08/2024: The old management Pierino father/grandfather deserved even more than 5 stars. The current one leaves a lot to be desired. If you call to say that what you purchased literally sucks, the guy (pseudo or new owner) tells you that it's not possible and offers to BUY AGAIN and taste the product with him because no customer has ever complained. In short, if what they sell isn't good you have to go through the palate test, a real post-dinner tasting for a fee. The products purchased were panzerotti, hard as stones and with a salty and disgusting filling, evidently paid for based on the hardness of the dough.

11/08/2024: I thought it was impossible but I wanted to call anyway and ask if there was the possibility of booking for a group of 24 people and the lady very kindly granted our desire to be together after a long time. While waiting for the barbecue we tasted scottona carpaccio, bacon, sweet potatoes, ash potatoes and grilled onions. All very good. Our grill consisting of zampina, lemon bombette, cacio e pepe bombette, gorgonzola bombette, gnummaridd or torcinelli, call them what you want, cooked to perfection and of excellent quality, not to mention the entrecote and picanha, superlative and cooked perfect. Thank you very much for everything and we apologize if we caused a bit of fuss...

09/08/2024: Braceria Sant'Agata offers an excellent dining experience, with a welcoming and rustic atmosphere. The meat, cooked to perfection on the grill, succulent and of high quality. The service is attentive and courteous. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended for meat lovers.

18/07/2024: Small pub on the outskirts of Bari Vecchia which offers an excellent choice of beers from independent breweries and piadine. I wanted a burger so I chose the only one available on the menu made with mushrooms, semi-dry cherry tomatoes, pesto and baked potatoes on the side accompanied by a "Lamortesua" IPA. I was already familiar with the beer and the sandwich was truly exceptional! Super recommended

06/08/2024: Don't expect a starred restaurant, but a delicious focacceria with a kind and friendly manager who will be able to advise you well. We had a tomato, mozzarella and basil focaccia which was delicious. Under the canopy, in the shade, with the air of the fans and the company of a beautiful kitten, we had lunch, breaking up a long journey in a very pleasant way. It really deserves it.

24/08/2024: Excellent service with extreme courtesy. Takeaway classic sandwich with horse meat and various condiments, very good and well cooked. I also took a tray of baked potatoes but they were inedible due to too much salt that had been added, a real shame because overall everything was good. Also excellent quality/price
