15/06/2025: We found this little tavern by chance while wandering around the old town of Bari. We were immediately attracted by the location with outdoor tables under a beautiful stone vault. It was worth it. Even though we were close to closing time for lunch, a very kind and professional lady welcomed us in a very nice and helpful way and immediately understood what we would have liked to taste. The orecchiette with braciole and my tiella were superb. Not to mention the genuineness and spontaneity of the waitress who introduced us to Maria, a grandmother who lives just a few steps away from the tavern and who welcomed us into her home between one bite and another, chatting and taking family photos. We breathed in this tavern the authenticity and the good and kind heart of the inhabitants of Bari. Highly recommended.

29/05/2025: All’inizio era molto buono , con le nuove gestioni sempre peggio . Personale super scortese e scocciato , non n puoi mangiare neanche al banco ma per forza fuori al freddo perché “qui c’è il passaggio” (locale vuoto solo i proprietari e i loro amici a chiacchierare coi corrieri ) anche se fuori fa freddo … prima ci facevano mangiare addirittura in sala l asporto ora devi per forza pagare il coperto .. tempura non croccante, poi per il resto non è male ma ha perso molto .., per non parlare che ordini per un orario arrivi e non è pronto una volta ordinai il riso integrale quando arrivai non l’avevano ancora messo a bollire e mi fecero prendere quello normale per i tempi di cottura … non tornerò più

03/06/2025: Attirata dalle recensioni su tripadvisor abbiamo prenotato. Parliamo del cibo, tartare di spada insapore, scampo crudo buono e cozze del souté ottime. Primo e secondo piatto insignificanti ( io ho lasciato metà piatto e succede raramente) . Quello che mi ha lasciato molto perplessa è la pseudo aria da ristorante di classe quando poi i camerieri vanno avanti ed indietro esauriti e quando abbiamo chiesto conto e lasciato il locale i nostri piatti ( semi pieni) erano ancora lì!!!! Ah sopportano i bambini ma non direi che sono bimbo friendly

23/02/2025: This small place just needs to open a restaurant next door and that's it. The food at 'Ready to eat Don Guanella' is simply the tastiest you can eat in the Via Giulio Petroni area, right up there with the Don Guanella retirement home. Lots of takeaways from the riders, lots of them. And many customers who, like me, come for a snack on their lunch break. What a snack it isn't, given that the portions are generous. You can choose between first courses in trays, second courses of all types, based on meat or fish, and side dishes of your choice. Yes you can also order for lunch or dinner. The cost is decidedly convenient: for me, who often eat here, I don't go beyond six euros to eat a portion of a second course of meat and side dish. Generous portions. And the two guys at the counter are truly special courtesy. Which, I always say, really makes the difference.

09/05/2025: Here the boss cooks personally. Actually, this location should be kept secret. On the first day of our vacation we were warmly welcomed and cooked for. We arrived without a reservation at an untypical early evening time for locals. After a lovely local starter we were treated to a pasta dish Orecchiette rewarded. Plus a regional organic rosé. A perfect start to your vacation. Thanks!

21/06/2025: Amazing restaurant ( one of best in monopoli). The pizza is AMAZING and their assassina is also very good. Service is fast and waiters and staff are polite. Has both outdoor and indoor seating. Just be sure to have a reservation because it gets busy and wait times can be long
