27/07/2025: Una serata perfetta! Location 5* In pieno centro storico, sala interna piccola ma carina, la Veranda esterna è molto molto bella. Atmosfera piacevole, calda… un po’ di verde in più qua e là ma assolutamente la location impeccabile Menu 5* Ho mangiato divinamente! Antipasto desiderato composto da 10 portate tra terra e mare, Fiorentina da 1kg circa che si scioglieva in bocca! Cheesecake ananas e cocco che era una delizia Servizio 5* Cameriere giovane e simpatico. Molto educato e gentile Siamo stati serviti anche dal cuoco che ci ha spiegato le pietanze e si è rivelato molto attento ai dettagli Conto 5* Sconto the fork applicato correttamente! Ho pagato quanto mi aspettavo e sono stato trattato in modo impeccabile da tutto lo staff, proprietario compreso! Assolutamente consigliato

04/07/2025: Een verassend restaurant. Even zoeken,p maar dan heb je ook wat. De kok kwam zelf aan tafel om de gerechten toe te lichten. De ober kon een paar woorden Engels en was attent. We hebben heerlijk gegeten, gezellig in de tuin met veel sfeer. De prijs is prima, goede kwaliteit en goed personeel.

30/07/2025: Fish dinner: poor value for money. The pasta dishes are very small in quantity for the price. Furthermore, the pasta dishes are full of oil, not to mention the fact that the mixed fried fish is frozen, which is not expected from a seaside restaurant (N.B., the fact that the fried fish is frozen is only stated on the restaurant's menu). As for the main courses, they are also overpriced for the quantity and quality offered, and they are also full of oil. The staff is friendly, but we couldn't see the ambiance because we were sitting near the entrance.

18/08/2025: More than a pizzeria, it's a wonderful place to meet and chat, obviously enjoying excellent food served with skill by the owner Donato (a great person) and his impeccable staff. The appetizers and obviously the gourmet pizzas are highly recommended.

16/08/2025: Absolutely fabulous! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Castro's Underground was a wonderful discovery. The ingredients are excellent, with incredibly fresh fish and a truly overwhelming flavor. The first courses are plentiful and flavorful, served with great care. The staff is extremely kind and always available, while the restaurant is elegant and welcoming. The quality-price ratio is incredible: you spend very little compared to the high quality of the dishes served. Highly recommended, I can't wait to go back!

23/05/2025: Bell'ambiente, caldo e ben arredato, in pieno centro. Cucina essenzxailmente creativa basata soprattutto sul pesce. Primi ottimi, come gli antipasti. Speghettone agli scampi e alici e gambero rosso notevoli, come il sashimi di ricciola e il carpaccio di manzo. Secondi meno speciali. servizio professionale e simpatico, prezzi un po' alti

28/06/2025: Truly an excellent restaurant I ate an appetizer of various raw fish, excellent seafood 2 excellent first courses such as the classic pacchero with fish and orecchiette with fish .. An excellent lemon sorbet, ice cream cake and a good final coffee !! I was there for my sister's 40th birthday ... Really kind, courteous and prepared staff ... very good owner Person ... excellent work I would say ... keep it up .. recommended friends you eat really well all based on fresh fish !!!

14/07/2025: We booked a night at the Hotel Gran Paradiso with half-board service, as described in the booking confirmation: "Half-board includes: • Three-course dinner (drinks not included) at our *Ristorante Vineria Sale e Pepe*" Our dinner experience at this restaurant was as follows. The food didn't live up to expectations based on the descriptions on the website and the menu prices. The half-board service was completely unclear (the booking generically indicated three courses); only when ordering dinner were we told we could order a first course, a second course, and a dessert per person. Furthermore, we were told that there was a supplement for the courses marked with an asterisk, but we weren't told how much. At the end of the meal, we ordered two digestives from the menu (at €5 each), and we needed two different ones because the ones on the menu weren't available! Given the infinitesimal quantity of digestives, we didn't order another. The next morning, upon checking out, we discovered the pleasant surprise of the bill. In particular, the €10 supplement for the two first courses (the price of the tonnarelli listed on the receipt reflects this supplement; just compare with the menu price). The even better surprise was the €12 charge for each of the three digestives (when the menu price was €5). What can I say!!!! A complete lack of clarity and information that undermines the professionalism of the service provided.

31/07/2025: I confirm what other tourists say: beautiful place, pure nature, kiosk and location, everything clean, fresh food (portions a little small), option to bring your own sun loungers and umbrella or rent everything (prices had increased a bit, rentals €24 for 2 sun loungers and umbrella, €7 for parking with shower and toilets). Now in 2025, for three years everything has been the same price, so just a little more expensive than the market, but in line with the location and service. The place is worth it. ----------- MY NOTE AFTER THE OWNER'S RESPONSE: I said DOUBLE the prices... not +1 euro! And then... reasoned with "DO NOT CREATE TOO MUCH COMPETITION"? But this is a SIGN prohibited by law!!!!!!!

29/07/2025: On our way back from Salento, we stopped at this beach with its stunning sea and excellent services! For just €7 for parking (under shade), you get access to spotless restrooms, changing rooms, cool showers, and shaded tables at the bar. Beach service and hot showers are available for an additional fee, but you can set up your own umbrella.

02/08/2025: During a short vacation, we happened to pass by this place and, attracted by the sight of generous portions of fried fish, decided to sit down! They gave us a beautiful table overlooking the sea and we ordered fried calamari and mixed seafood, raw mussels, a delicious first course of spaghetti with calamari, and octopus fritters. Everything was excellent and plentiful, and the service was also quick and friendly! Prices were fair! Highly recommended!

01/08/2025: *Excellent fresh fish and excellent service!* We visited this restaurant and had a truly wonderful meal! The seafood calamarata was flavorful and well-balanced, the grilled swordfish was perfectly cooked, and the fried fish was light and crispy, without being greasy. All the fish was fresh and carefully cooked. The staff was very kind and attentive throughout the meal. The atmosphere was clean and welcoming. Definitely a place to return to and recommend to anyone who loves good seafood and a sea view.

08/07/2025: Good food and generous portions. We tried the pizza, the grilled meat, and the excellent orecchiette with tomato sauce: simple, authentic, and flavorful. The restaurant is very popular with both tourists and locals, but despite its large seating capacity, the service was quick and efficient. The location is strategic, equidistant between Martina Franca, Cisternino, and Ostuni, ideal for a stop during a day of hiking in the Itria Valley. It's not a gourmet restaurant, but it offers honest, well-prepared, home-style cooking. The only minor detail—which I don't consider a real flaw—the grilled vegetables were a bit too raw for my taste. But that's a personal preference, not a criticism. Recommended, and I would gladly return.
