The sushi was incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and full of delicate, balanced flavors. The atmosphere is stylish and relaxing, ideal for both casual dinners and special occasions. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and provided excellent service throughout the visit. A top choice for sushi lovers looking for something refined and creative. Highly recommended!

26/01/2026: OK, the best sushi spot in Sarasota, FL is no more... see my prior review history for location, sadly it's gone forever. Now, moving up a slot, is Utamaro Sushi Bar located downtown Sarasota. Been going here for years, always exceptional, now 100% the go to place in SRQ for sushi. Note this review is for take-out, holiday party at the office, everyone but the CEO loves sushi, but he stepped up and tried Yellow Tail, LOL, and loved the cooked orders. You won't be disappointed, please GO. Check out this spread of delish photos! Here we have: SUSHI = Hamachi, Bluefin, Uni, Sake, Scallop, Fatty Tuna. The only thing missing was Saba... I requested but somehow the request was denied LOL by ordering party (private joke). ROLLS = Manhattan, Flamingo, Seakosho, Dragon, Emperor, Spicy Tuna, Bang-Bang, Mexican Roll, Triple Tail, Eel, California.

14/01/2026: We have always had a go to sushi spot. But, tonight we wanted something closer to home. Utamaro exceeded our expectations! Quite possibly the freshest, best quality sushi we have had. Will be our new sushi spot! Thanks for providing such quality and service.

12/04/2026: The place is wonderful with amazing atmosphere while the food is really great, starting from top notch raw materials (seasonal and locally sourced, either from the sea or the land). It’s really hard to top what you can find here. Even if this was not enough, the service is impeccable and the maitre Jack is the best in the world! Highly recommended: no chance visiting Puglia without stopping by at Coccaro Beach club restaurant

07/04/2026: A welcoming place with dishes that aren't typical of a traditional all-you-can-eat restaurant. A great place for sushi lovers; in my experience, it's the best in the area.

09/03/2026: A small tasting menu, as small as for two mice, cost 70 euros, and we left hungry. But bringing two microscopic pieces of nigiri, gyoza, or bao for two people is shameful, and not even a second course of fish or meat. The ingredients are high-quality and good, but not enough for the price paid...

31/01/2026: This place is so beautiful and delicious! We were here about a week ago and it didn't disappoint. We tried several dishes; the edamame and wakame were truly delicious, not to mention the tako, an octopus tentacle with a truly delicious sauce. Not to mention the udon. Average price. Highly recommended. I can't wait to go back.

01/06/2026: We've been customers of this restaurant since it opened... Last night we returned after a long absence, and after a while we can only confirm everything we've always thought!!! Pure in name and in fact!!!! The highest quality, excellent raw materials, impeccable service!!! Kudos to the scallop and foie gras nigiri, the unagi, and the tuna belly nigiri!!!! But really, whatever you choose from the menu will be delicious!!!! You can never go wrong with them 😉 Thanks as always for the wonderful culinary experience 🫶 See you soon!!!! 16/02/2026: This restaurant is spectacular, both aesthetically and for the service, and (especially) for the cuisine. My husband, I, and our one-and-a-half-year-old daughter had dinner here on Valentine's Day. The dinner was delicious; I think I ate the best uramaki (small balls) of my life. The chef was incredibly kind; he even prepared a special first course for my daughter, orecchiette with tomato sauce, which she thoroughly enjoyed. The first courses were equally spectacular, beautiful in appearance and refined and balanced in flavor. The risotto was delicious, and the wagyu ravioli were delicious. The rosé served was so popular that we even purchased it privately due to its quality, which is now rare for this type of wine. The desserts were the perfect end to the meal, and the salted caramel tart was definitely my favorite. If I really had to find a flaw, I would have really appreciated having a countertop in the bathroom where it was a bit complicated to change my daughter, but since it's not a "family-friendly" restaurant, I understand the lack of one.

01/02/2026: The appetizer and the first three courses were excellent. Unfortunately, the fourth course—a rather basic medium steak with mashed potatoes—was neither offensive nor impressive, and the overall experience started to go downhill from there. The service staff tried their best, but for such an expensive restaurant, the appearance felt somewhat unprofessional. For the first course, we were served by a gentleman who seemed to completely ignore presentation and fine-dining standards. Desserts were absolutely disappointing. My girlfriend was really looking forward to tiramisu, but instead we received a warm, mushy dessert with mulberries that was basically inedible. Overall, the experience was good, but some courses definitely need refinement, and I would honestly remove the desserts from the menu for now. I wouldn’t give this place a Michelin star yet, but there is clear potential for growth.

13/01/2026: It's like going to dinner with friends; you immediately feel at home. The service is impeccable and very friendly, the food is phenomenal—it's hard to find sushi made like Bento's. It's now become a regular stop when we pass through Brindisi.

01/06/2026: I had high expectations for an à la carte sushi place, but the food was good, yes, but the same as other all-you-can-eat sushi places! Nothing exciting for the prices; in my opinion, an à la carte menu should leave you with a taste and a memory of dishes you don't find at a traditional sushi place! Anyway, the staff was friendly and the place is beautiful.

10/05/2026: Our favorite sushi place in Bari. We've been going there for several years and have always had a great experience. The food is truly delicious. The rolls are spectacular, and the gyoza and matsu udon are top-notch. Highly recommended, very quiet inside, and reservations are recommended.

09/05/2026: One of the best all-you-can-eat options I've tried so far. Excellent rice quality (not too heavy) and tasty fish. Special mention for the salmon nigiri and shrimp tempura, crispy and not greasy. Friendly and helpful staff.

18/02/2026: Overall, a positive experience. I ordered takeout: nothing special, but I was satisfied with the meal. The only flaw was a mistake on one order: instead of vegetarian rice, they gave me rice with shrimp... too bad.

17/03/2026: Very tasty special rolls, we highly liked the Uni Royal Roll, the Viaggio tra Messico e Giappone roll, the Rainbow Fatty Roll, and the Salmon Shiso e Wasabi Roll. Very original mixes in tastes. However, pieces are a bit small.
