Excellent seafood. We tried several dishes, from raw appetizers and carpaccio (very fresh and beautifully presented) to a light and crispy fried fish. Special mention goes to the succulent and flavorful grilled prawns, and the tender, high-quality sliced ​​beef. Friendly service and carefully prepared dishes. An excellent choice for those seeking substance and freshness. Highly recommended!

There were 10 of us for lunch, and we ate divinely. Half of us ordered the menu and the others a la carte. Everything was served at the same time and promptly. The staff was very knowledgeable, welcoming, and kind. The fish was fresh and excellent quality. 😋 Even those who chose the meat option were satisfied. The bill was fair. We'll definitely be back.

It's more than just a restaurant: it's a place where you can feel passion, genuine hospitality, and a love of cooking. They've only been open about two weeks, but they already seem like a well-established establishment. We've been there three times in a very short time... and tonight I decided to write this review to confirm my opinion beyond any doubt: CORTES deserves much more than 5 stars. The first added value? The people. Sandro, the chef, and Luca, the waiter but also the owner and soul of the dining room, are simply fantastic. They don't just serve you: they welcome you, tell you stories, make you feel part of something. They're the kind of people who go beyond the plate of pasta and the glass of good wine (which, by the way, is never lacking). They're genuine, authentic, and that's a rarity these days. The location is well-maintained and full of details that make all the difference: the greenery, prominent and integrated, creates a relaxing, fresh, almost intimate atmosphere. It's one of those places where you sit down and immediately realize you can take your time, savoring every course and every moment. As soon as we arrived, they brought us incredible bread, like pizza dough: warm, fragrant, and fragrant... the kind you can't stop eating. That's how high the quality is. And then the dishes... this really takes things to the next level. The lemon tagliolini with Gallipoli purple shrimp and stracciatella is addictive: I ordered it three times in a row without even reading the menu. Perfect balance, freshness, creaminess... a dish that alone is worth the visit. The seared tuna was simply perfect: impeccably cooked, extremely fresh ingredients, full flavor. And then there are the off-menu items, which showcase the creativity of the kitchen: Cod cutlets breaded with cornflakes, rigorously handmade: crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, surprising. Fish soup with cuttlefish: flavorful, enveloping, the kind that makes you mop up the sauce until the very end. Each dish has personality, every detail is thoughtfully crafted, but without ever losing that simplicity that makes everything even more authentic. And what about the price? Because yes, in Gallipoli there are restaurants rated 5+ stars... but we haven't found any with this quality-price ratio. Honest, fair, and absolutely consistent with what they offer. CORTES is one of those places you hope never changes: authentic, well-kept, welcoming, and with a quality that is evident in everything. We'll be back. Again and again.

This establishment is an authentic Italian trattoria, not a hotel. The culinary offerings, ambiance, hygiene, and service significantly exceeded our expectations. By our second visit, we were extended a familial welcome. Our only regret is not having discovered this restaurant and its exceptional chef earlier during our sojourn in Gallipoli. This is an essential destination for anyone who appreciates fresh, genuine Italian cuisine at an accessible price point.

The staff were truly commendable. We had lunch for two, along with our 2-year-old son... I really appreciated how attentive the staff was to the child's needs. The food is high-quality, and quality comes at a price... even the location is small but very well-maintained. We'll definitely be back ❤️
