17/09/2025: A welcoming atmosphere with meticulous attention to detail. Spacious tables and comfortable chairs. The host, Simone, is kind and knowledgeable. He continually trains to stay up-to-date and bring delicious, refined food to the table. There's always something new on the menu at this Ovineria. The waiters are knowledgeable and courteous.

30/08/2025: A super welcome from the staff. Exquisite dishes, and very prompt in bringing the dishes to the table. An excellent choice, definitely worth repeating. Typical Pecorara dish.

12/10/2025: Unfortunately, I have to give this restaurant the lowest possible rating, as I've never experienced such unpleasant treatment in a restaurant in my life. Upon entering, we were politely served by a waiter who handed us the menu. Unfortunately, nothing on the menu appealed to us, and the dessert we wanted was unavailable. Therefore, we politely asked for coffee. At that point, something completely unexpected happened. The man, who I believe was the owner of the establishment, began shouting loudly at the waiter that this was "not a bar" and that if we didn't order food, we had to leave immediately. A moment later, he approached our table and, in a very unpleasant, even rude, manner, gesticulating and raising his voice, told us that we could have our coffee "on the other side," and then literally kicked us out. We were utterly shocked. There were other guests in the establishment, so the whole situation was incredibly humiliating and embarrassing. I travel a lot and visit various restaurants, but I've never encountered such a lack of courtesy and respect for guests. I definitely don't recommend this place – not only because of the lack of professionalism, but above all because of the outrageous behavior towards customers.

11/10/2025: Amazing food, exquisitely presented. I asked for something off the menu so they inquired and the chef was happy to accommodate us, but then when they explained their business lunch formula we decided to take that. It. Included a glass of wine and water which we drank out of lovely porcelaine cups which kept the water cool. They were obviously proud to show off local ingredients. There was a little « amuse bouche » that wasn’t marked on the menu served with a while basket of fresh bread rolls and home made taralli. The starter was octopus followed by fresh strascinati with courgette flowers etc. As dessert we had a delicious cake with pistachios and fresh fruit accompanied by a plate of the local grapes served on ice. The restaurant was not crowded and had a tastefully discrete, calm vibe. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. It was the prefect last meal of our holiday in Italy. We came out feeling more than satisfied and there were no nasty surprises in the bill. It was more than good value for money. I can only recommend it, the staff and the food. A wonderful find. I came with my husband for lunch on Friday the 19th. September.

08/09/2025: I attended a birthday party at Villa Rotondo, and I think it was the most scandalous experience I've ever had in a reception hall. • We arrived at 9:00 PM, and at 2:00 AM, the first course hadn't even been served. • They served the second course (fried fish) before the first course, completely illogically. • They even ran out of sparkling water, which is unacceptable in a venue that hosts events. • Of the two scheduled first courses, they only brought one, and that was late at night, when everyone was already leaving. • The cake was served to the guests' tables without even clearing them, in a completely messy and unhygienic environment. • The waiters were inexperienced and incapable of even basic service. • To top it all off, they had the nerve to charge the birthday girl first, using the excuse that the register was closed, leaving her to spend a nightmare day and lose money on dishes that were never served. Shameful organization, nonexistent service, and offensive treatment of guests and the birthday girl. In my opinion, this venue must have recently changed management, with completely incompetent people, because in all its years of operation, I've never heard of such a humiliating evening. I strongly advise against this place: a party that will remain etched in your memory only for how disastrous and humiliating it was.

07/09/2025: We celebrated a 50th birthday by paying the amount in advance (over €1,500) requested by the owner, but they didn't even serve us half the scheduled menu. Despite this, the staff railed against us, including the owner, who refused to help resolve the terrible experience. Disgusting. One star because I can't give zero, and partly out of pity for them.

20/09/2025: You can't get a more authentic and authentic taste of Italy than this. The restaurant is simple, yet so authentic that you'd think you were in an Italian commercial about the Dolce Vita. The food is absolutely fantastic and truly superb down to the smallest detail. The restaurant is the best I've had the pleasure of enjoying on my trip through Italy this year. This restaurant is a dream for every gourmet and Italy lover.

10/09/2025: Unpretentious atmosphere, attentive and informal service, managed by a host who guarantees authenticity. The chalkboard menu suggests home-cooked cuisine with fresh, interchangeable ingredients, and expectations are fully met. Excellent value for money. The best dinner I've had in Taviano.

07/09/2025: I had my eighteenth birthday in this restaurant and it was the best moment of my life. Impeccable service, abundant food and a fabulous DJ.

23/09/2025: Lots of families with children there. Extremely loud 🙃. It was a child's birthday party there at the time, and the kids were extremely loud! But the parents are more relaxed here than in Germany ☺️. Otherwise, the atmosphere is great, just like in Germany.

10/09/2025: A cool spot in the city center by the water for a quick and cheap Peroni from a bottle. They also have drinks and some snacks. I recommend it. It has a bit of a biking vibe.

31/08/2025: This place was a wonderful discovery! The food is excellent quality, light, and easy to digest. The service is very fast and well-organized; your order arrives at your table within 10-15 minutes. Also, and not to be underestimated, the owners and staff are truly friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is nice, but perhaps a little small for a pizzeria. However, this last consideration is secondary to everything else. I highly recommend it to anyone; you won't regret it. ❤️

18/10/2025: Excellent place to enjoy local seafood dishes. Tasting menu of 8 courses was very nice and fairly priced, but courses 2 & 3 and 7 & 8 were served together, which caused quite some confusion and disappointment given we were expecting 2 more courses to come. If we would have been told beforehand it wouldn’t have been an issue and we would have portioned our wine differently.

17/09/2025: A nice, well-run bar. You can choose from an "aperitivo" platter with many small portions, a mini sandwich with cured meats, various cold cuts, a small plate of ravioli, eggplant in oil, or a mini salad with salmon and orange. You can also choose from a variety of delicacies, such as a delicious, generously filled fried calzone, or other specialties. Good coffee and creamy coffee. You can also order a brioche with gelato. Very reasonable prices. A pleasant discovery. 2025 is a confirmation: the quality of the aperitivo platter and the friendly service.

14/09/2025: Quality, kindness, and courtesy are three rare traits found in a venue, but at Bar Castrum in Castrignano del Capo, they're a hallmark. We arrived late for aperitivo, which was just closing time, yet the staff greeted us with a sincere smile and great professionalism. They patiently waited for us to finish, never making us feel rushed. An experience worth repeating: we'll definitely be back, and this time on time ;-)

06/09/2025: Overall, a very positive experience. The quality of the ingredients is truly excellent: dishes are meticulously prepared, elegantly presented, and flavorful. The location is charming, modern, and welcoming, and the service was attentive and professional, contributing to a pleasant evening. That said, there are some areas for improvement: the prices, while understandable for the restaurant's quality, are slightly above the market average. In particular, the wine list features local labels that retail for €10-12, but are offered for €28. A markup for table service is understandable, but it seems a bit excessive. One final note concerns the exhaust ventilation: with an open kitchen, we left the restaurant smelling of fried food at the end of the meal. An improved exhaust ventilation system would make the experience even more enjoyable. Despite these issues, the restaurant definitely deserves a second visit: I will gladly return to try other dishes.

12/09/2025: Beautiful beach, not too many people, quite a few pebbles when you get into the sea... we take deckchairs and a parasol, they insist on sticking us with other couples (smokers) even though there really aren't many people!! Just look at the photos!! The food is good and the prices too for a beach restaurant... to do again

12/10/2025: We were passing through and found this pub via Google Maps. A well-maintained, beautiful, and unique place. Tables and seats are too close together; when it gets full, you'll be sitting in a cramped space, with people bumping into each other. A very extensive menu with many choices, but it's a shame the food isn't good quality. At least not all of it. The pizza is good, the piadinas are good, the rest is a disappointment. The chicken cut, one of those industrial "amadori" kebab-style ones, is horrible. The mixed meat platter was unsightly, and the meat was burnt and very tough. The baked potatoes were raw, some still cold inside, as if they hadn't defrosted. The grilled vegetables, "a simple thing to make," were some burned, others hadn't even seen the grill 😳!! The hamburger bun was good, but don't say the bread is homemade because it tastes like the packaged kind. Very little mozzarella, half-leaf lettuce, 1 poor sun-dried tomato, and the meat wasn't 100% overcooked, but unfortunately it was a mix of pork. (I'm sure of it because one of us is allergic and it didn't taste good.) It's a shame, it looked like a really good pub!
