08/03/2026: I'll start by saying that I'd never been to this pizzeria before and had no expectations. I must say I was very surprised. The food was delicious and affordable, the atmosphere very comfortable with music playing, but the best part goes to the staff, the very kind and beautiful waiters, especially MICHELE, who won my heart. He was incredibly kind, super kind, and helpful. He even said, "Thank you for existing, I love you," with a big hug. There should be more people like him in the world (raise his salary, he deserves it). I'll go home happy, with a full stomach and, above all, a full heart. A wonderful experience. I'll definitely be back. ❤️

18/01/2026: The food is always excellent (the pizza has deteriorated a bit), the meat and sides are always top-notch. The waiters are friendly, but I think there's a problem with the customer management. Let me explain. Besides the unbearable racket of children and the rose vendors walking between the tables, which are sometimes unmanageable (I can understand), during the reservation process, being told "if you're not punctual for the second course, we'll seat others" almost sounds like a threat, and honestly, I was about to hang up. Taking it for granted that we'll be late is strange, perhaps a bad experience? But at the end of the meal, while we were doing the math, being kicked out because they have to occupy the table is a blatant disrespect. I know it's not a written law, but booking a table should guarantee me a slightly different approach. They want to sell as much as possible, but personally, I think it's unfair to the customers. We feel like numbers, no longer as important as before. I don't know what's changed, but it wasn't like that in the beginning. Aside from the purely management-related issue with customers, it remains an excellent place with excellent food and always smiling waiters.

26/02/2026: If you're traveling by car, this hotel is definitely the best choice. The public parking lot is a 1-minute walk away and only costs 2 euros per day. It's also just a 10-15 minute walk from the old town. The hotel itself is a historical building, and the windows of the rooms are very high, giving it a bit of a prison feel 😂, but at least the high ceilings don't make you feel oppressed. The breakfast selection is also quite good, with several savory options. The staff are also very attentive and friendly. Highly recommended!

06/01/2026: Everything was excellent, from the fried foods to the first courses and the second courses. My son and I ordered and thoroughly enjoyed the orecchiette with arugula pesto, ricotta, fresh cherry tomatoes, and almonds, and my husband ordered the penne with sausage and arugula... we left nothing! All the dishes are traditional Salento dishes, flavorful and plentiful. Thank you, we'll definitely be back. P.S. Since we were there on Epiphany, we were happy to know that the osteria is a 4-minute walk from the sand nativity scenes!

08/03/2026: Unfortunately, there's no point in serving excellent food when you're then forced to SCREAM to converse with your guests at the table, given the screams and shouts of rude children running around the tables the entire time, with their parents completely indifferent. Unfortunately, in Vieste, when there are no tourists, this seems to be normal, as the same thing has happened to me in other places. Perhaps a separate dining room or a children's area would be a good idea. The service also isn't commensurate with the price, which is quite high. The exterior, a beautiful olive grove, deserves special mention.

23/10/2025: Review: Chalet Degli Ulivi (visit in August 2025) Unfortunately, our visit was a disappointment – ​​even though we were really looking forward to it after reading so many good reviews. The service was completely overwhelmed: only one waiter was allowed to take orders, the others seemed to wander around aimlessly, only allowed to serve or clear away. The wait was correspondingly long – and even when our glasses were long empty, no one thought to ask if we wanted something else to drink. Our child's meal arrived 20 minutes before the adults', and our plates arrived one by one with an even longer delay. Nothing is more uncomfortable than when one person at a table is already finished while another is just getting started. The playground area was also a disappointment: there was a charge, although this wasn't clearly communicated anywhere – neither on the website nor on Facebook. We came specifically for that. Food? Mediocre. The pasta and pizza were okay, the meat was actually good – but when the wrong side dishes arrive (four sad potato slices for €5 instead of fries!) and the "mixed salad" consists only of green salad, without the fennel or cucumbers as advertised, you eventually lose patience. The ambiance is nice, yes. But a beautiful wooden house alone doesn't make a good restaurant. Anyone who relies on its view instead of organization, service, and honesty won't have satisfied customers in the long run. By the way, we then had to wait another 30 minutes for the bill – a worthy end to a frustrating evening. Conclusion: Nice restaurant, unfortunately with a lot of show and little substance. Three stars – only because the meat was really good.

24/02/2026: We entered this place and found a quiet and pleasant atmosphere. There isn't much seating, but the interior is quite spacious and well-organized, which still creates a comfortable atmosphere. We ordered a poke and two club sandwiches (chicken and double fish), accompanied by a couple of bottles of water. Everything was very good, carefully prepared and without excessive pretension, but of good quality. The service was quite good, friendly, and timely. The prices are in line with the market, so fair for the offerings. It's a place I can wholeheartedly recommend and one we'd happily return to. I'll leave a few photos as a testament to my experience.

Overall, it’s an ideal place for breakfast — great food, generous servings, and a lovely setting. I would definitely recommend it and happily come back again.
