02/10/2025: It was a fantastic discovery. We went for dinner to celebrate our anniversary, and even from the outside, we were struck by the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the place. For appetizers, we ordered octopus meatballs and peppered mussels. Wonderful, generous portions, and above all, DELICIOUS! Next up was a seafood carbonara and a sliced ​​Angus steak with green peppercorns, and I honestly can't describe the quality of the ingredients, the attention to detail, the tenderness of the meat, and the wonderful interplay of flavors in the pasta. A special thank you to the wonderful Stefania, who pampered us throughout our dinner. Few places are run by people so knowledgeable, passionate about their work, and above all, so passionate about their guests. Thank you so much to you and your staff for making our anniversary a truly special occasion. We will definitely be back to try other dishes, and seriously, definitely go. I recommend it 100%! 31/08/2025: When at the end of August you're still looking for a thrill, a surprise without the obvious, a quiet corner of quality before returning to work... well, here's the answer. Google "spaghetteria in Bari" but it redirects you to Bitetto and you find yourself in front of a cathedral in the desert. You're greeted by a dazzling smile (rare elsewhere these days) from the staff member, followed by the welcoming spirit of the rest of the staff, including a precise and attentive waiter who, like the waitress, pampers you and assists you in portioning, choosing, and making you feel at home. The location is also surprising inside, and the dishes straddle the line between tradition and innovation without overdoing it, since a chocolate bar of Altamura cream for dessert is nothing if not innovative yet perfectly in keeping with tradition, just like the initial experience with a tasting of crispy bread and locally sourced olive oil. What can I say? 5/4/5/5 is my rating, because the missing star will be added next time I try the carbonara and a dessert with almonds (from Toritto, I'd say) and pure dark chocolate, which I know the staff will embrace as my dream and make it a reality! I'm counting on it! The atmosphere was also great after dinner: a quiet area, smiling residents, and no digestive issues, confirming the quality of the ingredients. P.S.: The table overlooking the kitchen was also strategic, from which I glimpsed the unique cacio e pepe preparation and even a few tastings here and there from the staff. And when the staff eats what you eat, you no longer have any doubts about the quality. Thanks for making us feel good.

21/09/2025: A small pizzeria, off the beaten track, with simple rooms and delicious dishes. Typical Saltento cuisine with excellent value for money, very tasty and good. The pizza is the highlight and also offers local and unusual variations, such as one with rapeseed!!! You can't really go wrong here, unless you're looking for a Michelin-starred chef to make you happy ;-) 2025: We were here again and everything was as delicious and great as always👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

18/09/2025: A fabulous bakery in the heart of Castellana Grotte. A early morning visit here became a regular occurance during our two week holiday in Puglia. The crossiants were fabulous, cakes too and the chocolate filled cruffin(?) was sublime. Coffee was excellent and the service smiley and friendly - even to an Englishman with rubbish italian.

14/09/2025: Had breakfast here two mornings in a row and loved it. The pastry dough was perfectly crunchy.

The atmosphere is beautiful, with vaulted ceilings and exposed walls in almost every room. The staff is very friendly.
