06/09/2025: The atmosphere is tempting, as it evokes the feel of an old-fashioned tavern, and you're expecting old-fashioned mountain cuisine. In reality, the food is quite disappointing; everything seems prepared in advance, the ingredients don't seem particularly authentic, and the bill, on the other hand, I found extremely overpriced. It's certainly not a place to remember fondly.
16/08/2025: On August 13, 2025, we ordered stewed tripe and wild boar with potatoes. We finished with bunnet and zabaglione.
The food was freshly cooked, excellent, but desserts could be improved.
The wait staff was very attentive and friendly.
Welcoming dining room, chalkboard menu.

02/09/2025: I often stop by this bar for work, but I think many others do too. Bar TOM is a must-visit for anyone visiting Fossano.
This establishment has a bar that also serves hot dishes during lunch hours, a tobacconist, and a newsstand.
Overall, the place is tidy and clean, and the staff is friendly.
Convenient to stop in since there's a little parking.
Highly recommended!

If you're looking for a place where the staff is rude and makes you feel unwanted, then you've found the right bar. Disappointing in every way.
Luckily, it's called Bar Tom, not Bon Ton.
Never again! Only in extreme cases!

26/04/2025: Siamo andati a cena in famiglia. Arrivati alle 7.30. Antipasti arrivati dopo un’ora e poi un’altra ora di attesa per o primi piatti. Nonostante ci siano 4 camerieri sembra che abbiano paura della sale e si rinchiudono di continuo in cucina. I patti sporchi dopo aver finito il nostro cibo li abbiamo tenuti davanti per 40 minuti.
Abbiamo ordinato un’acqua ( con estrema difficoltà perché non riuscivamo a intercettare un cameriere) e comunque ci è arrivata dopo 30 minuti.
Cibo normale (tajarin con ragù di salsiccia buoni, gnocchi che sarebbero dovuti essere al formaggio ma erano solo in una ciotola di latte, assolutamente no).
Prezzi alti non all’altezza ne del servizio né dei piatti.
Va bene che siamo nella capitale dello slow food ma andare così lenti non è giustificabile.
Menomale che ero almeno in buona compagnia
22/04/2025: Ci sono stato a cena oggi 22 aprile con la mia compagna per il suo compleanno, eh niente ragazzi, tutto IMPECCABILE, ambiente accogliente, servizio oltre l’ottimo, la signora e il ragazzo sono stati veramente fantastici, pur avendo la sala piena in due sono sempre riusciti a tenere a bada tutto, complimenti anche agli chef, antipasto (Carne cruda battuta a coltello) e secondo (Capocollo cotto a bassa temperatura) non buoni ma bensì STREPITOSI, faccio il mio più sincero complimento a tutto lo staff, cito anche il fantastico gesto del cameriere dopo che avevamo ordinato due zuccotti di tiramisù, arriva al tavolo dispiaciuto dicendo che il tiramisù era finito, noi come due amanti del tiramisù mangiamo solo quello come dessert, ma lui non ha fatto come farebbe la maggior parte dei camerieri, ci ha offerto un altro dolce per dare alla nostra serata un altro po’ di dolcezza!
Detto ciò ragazzi, grazie mille per la fantastica cena, torneremo!!

02/09/2025: Great campsite, great facilities. Excellent bar, shop with an incredible selection of local food and anything you would need. Also a huge menu of beers/drinks.
Offer breakfast to order.
Lots of tent space and a communal yurt for tent campers.
29/08/2025: A peaceful place in a wonderful landscape.
The restaurant is a great place to indulge yourself. The couple who run it are very friendly and helpful.
The shop has everything you need and much more.
The campsite is very well equipped. No entertainment or other nonsense.
I don't understand the negative reviews! These people simply don't belong here.
We love coming back again and again.

The location is evocative, the rooms are elegant, and the food and wine selection is well-prepared: a varied buffet, with carefully presented, top-quality dishes. After dinner, music enlivens the evening, creating a perfect blend of conviviality and fun. Ideal for birthday parties, anniversaries, or corporate events, it offers excellent value.
Although I'm not usually a clubber, I've always had pleasant and positive experiences here. A final thought: places gain value through how we experience them. Entering with respect and appropriate behavior means contributing to the common good and making the evening better for everyone.

31/08/2025: This is the third time in two years I've been here. I'll start by saying the gelato is decent, nothing more. I make gelato myself, so I know what I'm talking about. The service, however, depends on the manager's mood. It's not always pleasant. But the real problem is something else. The prices. By law, they must be displayed. Here, besides being very high and unjustified, they're never shown. €6 for a cup of three flavors is unacceptable. It's also punishable by law. I don't think it's fair.
I won't be returning.

31/07/2025: Locale semplice composto da due sale. C’è un menu fisso a 35 euro composto da 5 antipasti, due primi ed un secondo a scelta, tutto molto buono. Discreta la scelta di vini (noi abbiamo scelto un’Alta Langa da 40 euro). Personale cortese e simpatico.
03/06/2025: Un bonito y agradable restaurante en medio de la nada. Teníamos unos porcini estofados (muy deliciosos, crujientes por fuera, muy suaves por dentro) ; tagliolini (pasta larga muy fina) hecho con 40 yemas con trufas ralladas (trufa extra a 29 , 00 más el precio base del plato de pasta) ; conejo, lasaña de caracoles. . todos los platos eran muy sabrosos pero todos en el lado pequeño; servicio amable, agradable comida lejos de las multitudes, platos de setas son su especialidad.
El problema que nos dejó desconcertados fue que cuando nuestros comensales de la mesa de al lado pidieron la factura, afirmaron que eran revisores de viajes (igual que todos nosotros) exigieron descuentos y se les concedió; ¡no fue agradable escuchar eso!

05/07/2025: Once we arrived at the Refuge we sat down and were welcomed by a kind and friendly waiter. And that's where the positive things end. A mediocre lunch with very poor quality polenta, accompanied by bowls of sausage, gorgonzola cream, bagna cauda cream, chickpeas and peas (!?) jam and rubbery polenta au gratin, followed by desserts. The cost, in relation to the quality, was judged, by us, to be absolutely inadequate (very high). If a friend asks me what is best to do for lunch at Pian del Re I will advise him to prepare some good sandwiches at home.
29/06/2025: Poor food and poorly maintained structure. A real waste considering the privileged position both for the Sunday outing and for those who pass by here with greater hiking or mountaineering ambitions.

14/03/2025: I was with the school, they have no customer care they treated us badly, plus we had to clear the table ourselves and pass the plates to the waitress. I have never seen scenes like this, customers are all the same and even if we have agreements with the school there must always be respect. I do not recommend it to anyone if you want to eat in peace without unnecessary stress
12/03/2025: I was just there for lunch with some friends, unpresentable food, terrible quality, rude and unwilling waitress (she "threw" plates into our mouths just to work less), we asked for more bread and more parmesan, but they told us they had finished it (even if you then saw that they were taking it to other tables), the chips as a starter which were disgusting, seemed to have been made 3 days before being served.
I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND

27/01/2025: In viaggio in Piemonte, dopo aver letto svariate recensioni su questo ristorante decidiamo di visitarlo. Arrivati e accolti dal personale da una calda accoglienza in un locale carino e semplice e molto pulito.
il cameriere che ci ha servito, con aria saputella ( poco preparato ) ci ha raccontato il menù, abbiamo preso un antipasto ( crudo di pesce ) molto buono, un plin ( porzione mignon ) senza un briciolo di sughetto senza sapore, e due buoni brasati.
Al momento del dolce abbiamo optato per un tris di formaggi, dopo aver richiesto un blue cheese assieme ad altri due formaggi, il cameriere sbagliandosi riprende dal nostro piatto un formaggio che ci aveva servito senza che noi lo chiedessimo rimettendolo sul tavolo di servizio con aria strafottente. ( cioè mi riprendi dal piatto una fettina di formaggio già toccata ? )
Una scena raccapricciante!!!
Signori, studiate ospitalità, visto lo sbaglio si lascia nel piatto…

05/01/2025: Location adeguata , ottima lista dei vini , prezzo elevato ma in linea con le aspettative. Il servizio… si può fare di meglio, essere interrotti in un dialogo ogni 5 minuti perché devi rispondere alla domanda “ tutto bene signori” o perché devi servire il vino , mi sembra eccessivo. In ogni caso positivo
