01/08/2025: Fantastic service! With in-house roastery, great Italian coffee!

15/02/2025: Overall, a disappointing experience compared to expectations. The atmosphere is simple and rather pleasant. Several small rooms with 2-4 tables each, spread over two floors in a rather beautiful period noble building. The dishes are not very well prepared and presented; I'd say they're not very successful: without any major flaws, but lacking in character. A fixed fish menu for all tables. The wine list is too short. The service was naive, with some of the staff friendly but clearly and explicitly inexperienced, and others more professional. However, there were gross ingenuity and long waits in a nearly deserted restaurant. Finally, the price: it was Valentine's Day, granted, but for what we got, the price was truly exorbitant.

23/09/2025: The wedding reception was a complete success, thanks both to the location and the couple, who took care of every detail and the management of the castle itself. The catering service was less than perfect; they were probably tired, but still not impeccable. That's okay. There's always room for improvement. I haven't had a chance to review the rooms.

08/09/2025: We got married on July 12th... Oviglio Castle allowed us to make our dream come true, and it was an unforgettable day. It all started about a year earlier when we visited the venue. Carlo, the owner, welcomed us with extreme professionalism and clarity about what they offer their clients. From the very first moment, the pricing proposal was simple and clear, leaving no room for misunderstanding. Excellent value. The castle offers all the necessary services for the wedding (printing of menus and all place cards, table decorations, general castle decorations, and wedding table plan). They have an on-site restaurant for dinner/lunch. They also take care of the cake and the open bar. Carlo welcomed us to the castle several times to organize everything and answer any questions. On the day of the ceremony, everything was taken care of down to the last detail... the aperitif food, the drinks, the dinner, and the cake. We also stayed in the rooms, and the next morning, breakfast was equally excellent. The most surprising thing was how unique we felt, even though they host weddings every weekend throughout the summer. Thank you so much.

03/07/2025: The style is that of the typical "piola", with a clean and welcoming environment. Fast and friendly service. Fresh daily dishes with simple, genuine but good quality cuisine. Really basic and convenient lunch prices. I will definitely be back.

10/06/2025: I've rarely been turned away so rudely. We didn't even get to eat, even though my wife and I, along with our three daughters, had eagerly anticipated the half-hour walk to get to this oh-so-great "restaurant." When I saw the long-haired, yawning waiter behind the counter drying a glass, I wanted to leave right away. The man had obviously never really worked. When my wife politely asked if we could enjoy something to eat (at 7:30 a.m.) in the completely deserted dining room, he waved us off. He apparently not only didn't want to speak English, he couldn't speak it either. And he sent us away. Funnily enough, they added, the restaurant was completely booked later on, too. When we walked past again later after an excellent meal at the neighboring restaurant (see review of La Cucina), the restaurant was still deserted. The waiter must have also fallen asleep.

31/08/2025: Friendly staff, good service, and good food, but the prices aren't clear, they don't offer a menu, and the bill was a surprise: for a plate of ravioli with meat sauce, a plate of tagliolini with mushrooms, a chicken cacciatore, two side dishes, a dessert, two coffees, and a bottle of water, we paid €62. For a bar/trattoria, it seems a bit pricey.

10/09/2025: Welcoming and spacious place, friendly and helpful staff, fair prices, not too high for what they offer. Very good gourmet pizza, but they also offer cooked meals. Disabled friendly. Well-behaved children are welcome. Ample parking. Highly recommended.

03/09/2025: Green Eat – Restaurant and Pizzeria in Tortona We visited Green Eat in August 2025 for dinner, returning from a day trip. The restaurant is located behind the Tortona Iper supermarket, easily accessible and with convenient parking. The atmosphere is informal, tastefully decorated, and there's plenty of seating: ideal for a dinner with friends or family. The service was efficient, with young and friendly staff. Despite 80% of the tables being occupied, the wait was about 30 minutes. We tried the veggie burger served with fries and several classic (not Neapolitan) pizzas. The dishes were simple but tasty, in line with expectations. ✅ Strengths: friendly staff, clean environment (including bathrooms), varied menu with options for different dietary needs. ⚠️ Areas for improvement: it would be helpful to better highlight the vegetarian dishes, add a few more entrees, and reduce the noise level a bit. 👉 Recommended for an informal dinner in Tortona, perhaps before the cinema or after a soccer game.

25/09/2025: A positive experience where you can recharge your batteries. This quiet and welcoming family-run property offers courtesy and attentive service from Alice and her family! The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and clean. The breakfast is plentiful and high-quality, thanks to their own produce. The restaurant serves delicious, healthy dishes, and the wine is also excellent, also from their own production! Excellent agriturismo.

21/09/2025: Terrible experience. The staff is friendly, but they constantly ask if it's okay. Excessive Plus, it's not good. They offered us a full menu for €30.00 And a menu with dishes from the same menu. The choice is appetizers €7.00, first courses €10.00, second courses €10.00, desserts €5.00. I thought it would be great if you can't eat everything, choose from the same one. So we had an appetizer for three: 1 slice of raw beef without sauce, a small flan with fondue, which was pleasant, a small mixed cold cuts menu, 6 slices of salami, 3 slices of lard, 3 slices of tongue, and 6 pickled meatballs. Two first courses: tagliatelle with white ragù and tagliatelle with mushrooms, and a second course: roast beef with potatoes. The tagliatelle were full of oil, and the roast beef was fresh but not seasoned. I asked for oil, and they brought me sachets of EU-sourced oil, which is made right at the farm. The potatoes were few. Our meal continued with three mediocre desserts and three coffees, all washed down with a bottle of their own Barbera, which was good. The final price, considering the quality isn't great, was €98.00. A word to the wise. We'll never return.

02/08/2025: What a great find! An acquaintance had already raved about this restaurant, and today we were in the area and stopped for lunch. Everything was excellent! From the delicious and plentiful carbonara to the delicious coda alla vaccinara. Everything was well-cooked, the service was friendly and fast, the restaurant is rustic, and the price was excellent. We'd definitely recommend it, and we'll be back soon.

26/10/2025: We ordered two cappuccinos and asked for a small glass with milk foam for our one-year-old daughter. We went to pay: €2.50 per cappuccino (whatever). €2.50 for a mysterious marocchino (milk foam). We asked for an explanation. "Sorry," was the only response. But they took the money and didn't give us the difference. NEVER AGAIN!!

09/07/2025: For years, I've been a sincere fan of IMO 2 (I don't know if it was under the same ownership or what), but when that one closed, I decided to try its original sibling. While the food wasn't bad, in my humble opinion, the quality at IMO 2 was quite different. A little more attention to service wouldn't hurt either (serving cutlery on a tray that wasn't entirely clean and decidedly old isn't the best). In any case, considering it's an all-you-can-eat restaurant, I'd definitely recommend it.

23/08/2025: We kindly asked if we could sit eight of us outside by pushing two tables together, but the waitress rudely refused, saying it wasn't possible because one table was empty. Speechless and unwilling to work! Never again!

23/04/2025: Historic café in Novi Ligure that has remained unchanged over time. Also a place for excellent aperitifs with excellently presented and very good products.

26/05/2025: A wonderful, peaceful place! Beautiful room with a bed on the upper floor under the eaves. Everything is neatly furnished. The owners are very friendly and polite. You're far from the hustle and bustle of traffic here. We'd love to come back!
