The dishes were fantastic, the vitello tonnato was really very good.
Absolutely correct prices that make the experience for quality/price truly unbeatable.

The restaurant is very well presented, well-kept and with a splendid outdoor area surrounded by nature. We had lunch inside, in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The onion soup is highly recommended! The other dishes we saw arriving at the tables also looked really inviting. Impeccable service and a warm welcome.
We will definitely be back!

15/06/2025: Dopo che il Puny la lasciato dobbiamo fare i conti con i figli. Il pranzo e stato assai buono con l'antipasto di salumi vari di qualità, il primo di riso gratinato al forno con crostacei e il gelato ai frutti di bosco. Buon timorasso 2023 a tutto pasto. In accompagnamento al gelato Piccolit collio. Caffè buono e cognac altrettanto (Gabriel et Andreu 1973).
Un appunto alla pasticceria secca offerta: moscia e secondo me rafferma.
Un elogio allo chef Mattia Murchio, uomo non diplomatico, e fin troppo. Ma generoso, simpatico e leale. Mi ha offerto un distillato alle rose mentre io gli esponevo le mie critiche.
In definitiva, locale ok, ma attenzione alle critiche. Non sono accettate.
Ancora un encomio allo chef Mattia che ha saputo magistralmente accogliere l'eredità del padre, Stefano, con il quale io ho interloquito per più e più anni.
Una raccomandazione per le sorelle di Mattia: il cliente ha sempre ragione (inteso nell'ottica giusta).

24/05/2025: Delicious food and fantastic atmosphere. Highly recommended the €35 "Four Seasons" menu.
The first courses are incredible, you can taste it from the quality of the fresh pasta, made directly by the chef. Very good wine and desserts too.
The service is perfect, the waitresses were kind and friendly, as well as super available even for "encores". We left rolling.
I'll be back.

12/05/2025: Sunday evening family dinner. Second time in the restaurant, precisely because of the excellent impression I had the previous time! Intimate and refined environment. A la carte menu with a choice of meat and fish. Excellent and plentiful first courses. The 30 egg yolk tagliolini with Bra sausage is highly recommended. The mixed starter was served on a single plate, but it could have been enough for a weekend dinner! Fast and competent service. Excellent choice of wines. Adequate price.

The incredible thing is that despite the piadina being a simple dish, they managed to transform it into a gourmet dish in all respects, all while maintaining a good quality-price ratio!
30/05/2025: I'm not one to write reviews and I've been going to the place for years, it's the umpteenth time that I walk to the piadineria and find it closed even though it's marked open on Google Maps. Evidently the owners don't give a shit about people and even less about the place. I definitely won't be back.
By the way, I've never commented negatively, I've held back several times because sometimes the piadinas are missing ingredients, sometimes they are made hastily and different from the usual preparation. Paying more than 10 euros for a piadina, one expects that at least all the ingredients are inside. That said, change your job because you've brought out the worst version of me. Thanks for ruining my lunch break (already short) and consequently my day.

05/06/2025: Dopo una visita alle cantine contratto, ci siamo fermati a pranzo in questo locale. Non male devo dire, piatti della tradizione piemontese anche se non completamente soddisfacenti rispetto ad altri ristoranti della zona. Servizio gentile ma estremamente lento. In ogni caso non mi sento di sconsigliarlo, comunque abbiamo mangiato bene e speso il giusto.
30/05/2025: Questo locale ampio e moderno in centro a Canelli offre sia piatti molto tradizionali (ravioli del plin ai 3 arrosti) sia piatti più inventivi basati comunque sugli ingredienti del territorio (ottimi i tajarin burro e acciuga con granella di nocciole, e la spuma di zabaione con caramello, sale nero e crumble di nocciole). Molto onesti i prezzi. Nota di merito ai ravioli del plin fritti serviti come amuse bouche: sfiziosissimi!

The cuisine has improved considerably, I have had the opportunity to try it several times since and everything is very good. In this case, today, the asparagus menu is wonderful, well cooked. Asparagus cooked perfectly and dishes are well prepared. Satisfied.
Overall, the dishes are good, just too seasoned with butter and oil, especially the plin and anchovies and too many hazelnuts.
I was not thrilled.

01/06/2025: I leave this review by saying that I don't like restaurants that offer a more niche and gourmet choice. We went to this place because of the limited availability in the area given the time (around 2 pm). We had two appetizers and a second cheese plate; the choice was very limited and also, being celiac, I had to exclude all the first courses. We asked if it was possible to bring everything together, but we were told no. Overall the food was not bad, I was just sorry that the dishes were not explained to us: when the cheese plate arrived the owner stopped to give us a very quick explanation of the types of cheeses only as requested by us (the question was banal: "what cheeses are they?").
The environment was really suffocating, very small and without even a bit of background music.
We spent around €15 per dish.
Overall I would not go back.

18/06/2025: We were here for an end of season dinner for the girls, we were both adults and children/girls. They served us quickly. The waiters were attentive, helpful, ready to respond to every need and always with a smile. They also make gluten-free pizza (good). It was a pleasant discovery. We will definitely be back
