Beautiful restaurant in a strategic location overlooking Superga. Very friendly and attentive staff. Good food, excellent veal with tuna sauce and zabaglione. The only thing that disappointed us was the mixed antipasto, as the price didn't reflect the quality of the dish.

Often, the name chosen for a restaurant contains much more than it intends or can convey. For those unfamiliar with the Piedmontese dialect, "Bel deuit" can be translated as: beautiful manners, beautiful bearing, beautiful presence, elegance, discretion, affability, kindness. These are all characteristics that perfectly match Paola and her team, who have impeccably run this small restaurant in Superga since 1993. A restaurant with just a few tables set in a simple, elegant, well-lit setting, expertly curated down to the smallest details. A bright veranda allows you to enjoy an unparalleled view of the horizon, where the mountains shine with their enchanting majesty. Sitting at a table and enjoying not only local but also seasonal specialties is a privilege not to be missed. The house Piedmontese appetizer, veal with tuna sauce, Fassona beef tartare, vegetable flan with fondue, and gorgonzola and walnut mousse are just some of the delights that precede the first courses like tajarin with porcini mushrooms, gnocchi with bava, or borage ravioli. The meats, and more, are a triumph of Piedmontese tradition, and I'll just mention them: baked pork shank with caramelized apples, Fassona beef cheek with caramelized Borretane onions, rabbit with Langhe hazelnut sauce, asparagus, and snails Parisian-style—all worth the climb up here. Among the main courses, fried foods deserve a special mention. The "king" remains the Fritto Misto alla Piemontese, which at Bel Deuit is served with the sweet and savory parts separated. It's certainly the highlight, but the mushrooms and frogs are also top-notch. But the best, or rather, the tastiest, comes with the desserts: Hazelnut cake with custard, Gianduja cake with Chantilly cream, Tiramisu with chestnut cream and Torcetti crumble, Tarte Tatin with Chantilly cream, Panna cotta with berry sauce, Pears cooked in Freisa wine and spices will win you over. Finally, and absolutely not to be missed, the Zabaglione is the perfect end to a meal. Made to order and served hot, in Moscato or Marsala versions, it stands out for its incredibly soft texture. It's worthy of the finest royal courts. Its reputation as a traditional Piedmontese restaurant is confirmed by a cellar stocked with the finest regional wines. So, if you want to enjoy the taste, kindness, tradition, and authenticity of a fine restaurant on the hills of Turin, don't hesitate and book your table at "Bel Deuit."

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Turin. The food, location, and service are excellent. The terrace overlooking Superga is beautiful. The interior is a bit noisy when the place is full, but you can still chat if the other tables are cooperative. This time, in addition to the mixed appetizers (superb tartare and veal with tuna sauce), we had the pork shank and fried lamb. Excellent. The zabaglione, served hot and freshly whipped, is a must. Unfortunately, no photos; we were hungry and the deliciousness of the dishes distracted us.

After visiting the basilica, lunch at this restaurant is a must. The dishes are delicious, but the unforgettable fritto misto and zabaglione are especially noteworthy.

Great experience, good food and well-prepared. The only downside is the parking, which is very limited in the area.

Sottosopra

06/07/2026: Nice place, shame that those who eat outside have to endure the cigarette smoke from smokers!
14/06/2026: A homey restaurant where you truly feel at home. A simple, unpretentious place, yet welcoming and genuine, ideal for a pleasant evening with friends. The staff is extremely courteous and helpful, always ready to make guests feel at home. I especially recommend the platters, well-stocked and perfect for pairing with a good wine. If you're unsure, let the staff advise you: they'll be able to suggest the perfect pairing for your tastes. A place you'll gladly return to for the quality of the welcome and the family atmosphere.
