21/10/2025: We had a great dinner on Sunday night. The food was excellent and included unusual dishes (Norwegian salmon) as well as traditional Ligurian dishes. The sea bass in Ligurian sauce was better than the same dish at the Excelsior Hotel. They have an excellent wine list with many local wines (we are from Sonoma County and love local wines). The service was very attentive. I strongly recommend it. In fact we are returning tonight (two days later) rather than trying another restaurant in Rapallo.
20/10/2025: I'd start by saying that the restaurant's location is truly excellent. Yesterday we had lunch outside, right in front of the castle and just steps from the sea. We ordered a selection of raw fish, a fried dish, and seasoned octopus, along with a bottle of Vermentino. We spent €160.00 for two.
In my opinion, it's a bit pricey for the little we ate; they probably charge for the location.

Even though we arrived very late and the kitchen was almost closed, you never stressed us out about leaving. You were one of my favorite seaside restaurants, and now even more so! Thank you, Isabelle, and the Belgian team.

02/11/2025: We went to Fornello for the second time, accompanied by a couple of friends. The dinner was good, but I have to make a point: three of us chose the tagliolini with butter and white truffle.
Typically, the truffle is cut at the table because it enhances the flavor of the truffle, and the weight per portion should be between 5 and 10 grams. In our case, however, the tagliolini were served directly from the kitchen with the truffle already on top, a minimal amount that left more room for the flavor of the butter. What a shame.

The staff is extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and dedicated to providing guests with an intimate experience.
A little gem of a restaurant in Oristano.

09/07/2025: We got it all, wine, food, good conversation... When you come to a Trattoria, that's what you get, you become a good friend and if you become a regular, get ready to become family.
Italia is all about food and family and over Montina you have the wife serving, the husband cooking and their daughter learning with her grandma.
Now let's talk about the food.
The pasta was perfectly cooked, the sauce perfectly made. The fries were crunchy and dry, not soggy and full of oil.
The cotolleta was crunchy and not a hint of oil in it, amazing. As a Brazilian I would throw some lemon juice on it because this is how we like it, but I can get used to the Milan way paired with a good red wine.
The food is well served and if you eat small portions, I'd suggest sharing a dish. My kids devoured their pasta but I ate 3/4 of my cotolleta.
Wow wow wow.

07/10/2025: We ate at a lovely restaurant today, but a huge thank you to the girl who served us (I think the owner's daughter). She was really nice and helpful in explaining the dishes we ate. She was also very kind when we asked, after eating on the covered terrace, to be able to have drinks and dessert on the terrace overlooking the sea!
****This is true Sicilian hospitality!****
The dishes we ate were simple but delicious!

13/10/2025: The place is very welcoming, as are the staff and the owner, who are kind and helpful. Each dish is explained and presented as it's brought to the table, which I personally greatly appreciate. The quality of the ingredients is evident, as is the attention to preparation. The light and crispy fried cassava and the double-cooked octopus are delicious.
The ceviche, in its various interpretations, is a must-try.
We will definitely be back to enjoy Peruvian flavors again.
06/10/2025: I was very disappointed, I've never eaten such a dry ceviche in my life, and when I pointed out to the waitress that my ceviche didn't have any marinade at all, even though it was written on the menu (tiger leche), she simply said "we do it like this") and it's true that there are perhaps several versions of ceviche, but that dish on the menu said it had tiger leche, and also chili pepper, but in my dish there was neither... I was born and raised by the sea in Peru so I know ceviche well and the marinade on raw fish is always abundant, but in that dish there was absolutely no marinade... I went with my girlfriend to introduce her to ceviche and honestly we left that place feeling robbed because for 2 appetizers and 2 glasses of wine I spent almost 100 euros which seems a bit excessive to me, and I also felt mocked because that wasn't a real ceviche, I definitely won't be returning.

07/10/2025: I was invited to lunch by a very dear friend, and I must say that everything was just as I'd always expected, both the owner and the delicious food. Impeccable service, super good food, and the wine was delicious. Thank you so much for your culinary offerings; as I mentioned at the table on another occasion, I had the cuttlefish with polenta, a true delight! I'll be back; that's a promise I'll keep even if I don't come with my dear friend! The dessert is tempting, and the special is very inviting. Everything is delicious!
07/10/2025: A wonderful experience. Six of us, without a reservation, found a table at 10 pm. The atmosphere was welcoming and the staff very friendly. The linguine with bottarga and sea urchins was spectacular, and the tartares, like the cod meatballs in a walnut cream, were also delicious.

In a sophisticated setting with a lake view and terrace, they serve modern interpretations of pizza with high-quality toppings and a variety of doughs. From pan-steamed, thick crusts to special flour blends (e.g., corn and sunflower seeds), high hydration levels, and the classic thin version – all pizzas are crispy, airy, and light. Perfectly cooked.
Those with celiac disease or gluten intolerance are also in the right place here; they also offer certified gluten-free pizzas. These are even prepared in a separate (!) kitchen. I highly recommend the restaurant and would gladly return.
16/10/2025: What a discovery! Very good, gluten-free pizza, baked in a separate oven in their own kitchen. Tastes excellent! The service was very attentive. The dessert was also gluten-free and very tasty. The pizzas are a modern interpretation with many delicious combinations. We will definitely be back, thank you very much.
