24/06/2025: We booked this restaurant for both the aperitif and the dinner, attracted by the beautiful location. Upon arrival, the terrace was undoubtedly suggestive, but the organization left something to be desired: even though there were free tables in the front row, we were shown a table in the second row with the unpleasant effect of admiring the heads of our neighbors more than the view. The aperitif confirmed the tendency of the entire island to have decidedly high prices: 15 euros for a gin and tonic served without even bringing the bottle of tonic to the table — a small gesture that would have made the service more attentive. For dinner we were accompanied upstairs: here too the few tables with a view of the sunset were reserved, even though some remained empty until late at night. Our table for two gave us a view that was not breathtaking: I was facing the mountain antennas, my partner was facing the entrance to the restaurant. The food, it must be said, was of good quality, but once again the price seemed disproportionate to what was offered. The final bill of 170 euros leaves a bitter taste in the mouth, not so much for the amount itself, but for the general feeling of an experience that, with a little more attention, could have turned into a beautiful evening. It is a shame to note how in many locations on the island that little “cuddle” that often makes the difference is missing: a thoughtful gesture, a detail of courtesy, that care of the guest that transforms a beautiful place into a special place.

25/06/2025: Hey you people staying in the Centro storico, take a taxi or walk to Lo Stravagante. Amazing hospitality and food. Carmine insisted we try the crème brulé and it was the best I ever had. Then he poured us a glass of his homemade limoncello and again, best I ever tasted by a mile! Amazing food, wine, atmosphere and conversation. I will find a way to come back to Lo Stravagante !!

20/06/2025: Ciao a tutti, a Stintino abbiamo cenato presso la Trattoria OPERA VIVA, sita vicino alla Piazza del Municipio. Locale ampio, con deor esterno coperto e arieggiato, tavoli ben disposti, personale cortese e preparato, pronto a soddisfare le tue richieste. Ottimo il menu offerto. Noi abbiamo scelto un formaggio alla brace come antipasto, che era o caprino o di latte vaccino cotto alla brace in due strati di pane carasao, veramente eccellente, poi un piatto di spaghetti allo scoglio con il pescato del giorno e un fantastico fritto misto. Il tutto accompagnato da un’ottima Icnusa non filtrata e acqua. Alla fine un dolce tipico sardo. Se vi trovate a Stintino, telefonate e prenotate un tavolo, ne rimarrete decisamente soddisfatti. 06/07/2025: Everything was absolutely delicious! The dishes were beautifully balanced in flavor and presentation, and you could really tell there was care behind each plate. The service was just as impressive—super friendly and attentive. Such a lovely experience from start to finish! Will definitely come back.

28/06/2025: I was there tonight with my family. A “glamorous” place, good food quality… BUT… When booking, the owner recommended a table on the veranda with air conditioning given the high temperature: NON-EXISTENT AIR CONDITIONING. I immediately ordered a second course for my son (5 years old) and it arrived, after having urged, after 45 minutes with little kindness from the lady in the dining room. The adults started to eat after 1 hour and 10 minutes without any explanation, apology or courtesy to while away the wait. The sommeliers present the wine to you but when it was time to serve them at the table they showed up without a label on the bottle! We got up without coffee or dessert because the waiting time was really excessive. A place with great potential but with really arrogant, uneducated titled people with no ability to manage a room that wasn’t even full! The bill was a bit steep for the service offered but what makes you smile is that after all this waiting and little cordiality on a bill of *01.55 did not make the same count; obviously it is not 1.55 that changes but it would have been a kind gesture; proof of the fact that you want to act great but you are not at all up to it!

14/06/2025: A definitely positive experience that did not disappoint my expectations. Last Saturday, my family and I opted for the a la carte menu on the terrace. Everything was impeccable, very fresh fish: excellent appetizers, first courses and second courses. The view from the restaurant terrace was truly pleasant; the place was very clean and the staff (Giovanni and Maurizio) were very friendly and courteous. A place where we will definitely return.

Excellent quality fish cooked divinely. Taste buds in continuous effervescence. Recommended for everyone, singles, couples and families. 19/05/2025: We were here for my daughter's communion, excellent service, friendly staff. We ate fish, everything was perfect, even for one of our guests who ate meat recommended at the time by the chef, always present in the room. Really compliments to all the staff!

18/06/2025: It happens that one evening you decide to take a walk after dinner and while walking you realize that you have lost a piece of the house keys. So you start to go back and forth, because you can't give up, it's a dear memory, but it so happens that you start to feel an urge, but pretending nothing is happening you continue back and forth. At a certain point you just can't take it anymore, you really need to go "plin plin". You look around and see a restaurant, a little embarrassed you approach the entrance of the room and seek someone's attention. With not too much enthusiasm a gentleman in a blue shirt of average height approaches and you ask him the fateful question with a certain answer: "Excuse me if I'm a bother, I wanted to ask if I can use your dressing table?". And instead he surprises you and you hear him say "No, it's reserved for our customers". Having no other option you add: "I apologize, but I really need it!" Raising his arm with a gesture that seemed like Ma va a.... he says to me: "Mavaaaaa". Not caring, and not understanding if it was the indication or something else, I use the toilet, which is also very well-kept and clean, and within two minutes I leave, not missing the opportunity to thank him, but adding that he was not kind at all. Leaving I noticed that the place was full of people and the dishes, which were also beautiful, seemed appetizing, who knows, maybe one of these evenings I will come for dinner hoping to find more empathy and kindness. Nothing is owed, of course, but .... A 55 year old. PS I didn't even find the keys, it's not really my evening.
