Each dish was a pleasant surprise, meticulously crafted in both presentation and flavor. The fried food was light and crispy, the meat tender and perfectly cooked, and the desserts were fresh and delicious, making for a wonderful end to the meal. The chef's warm welcome was also greatly appreciated. The service was impeccable: the staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive without being intrusive. Another plus is the value for money: considering the quality of the ingredients, the attention to detail, the service, and such a charming location, the price is absolutely fair and perfectly in line with the experience offered.

11/06/2026: A restaurant worthy of its reputation. We came here as a couple on a Friday evening, and despite there being about twenty people waiting at the door, we were seated immediately. The food was fresh and high-quality, with generous portions and prices absolutely in line with the offerings. The service was fast and efficient; I've never seen such a high number of employees for a single restaurant. It's definitely worth a try.

I've been there several times now—and each time, I've felt like I wasn't just going out to eat, but rather part of a deeply personal culinary narrative. Riccardo Camanini's cuisine combines something that very few chefs master: the utmost precision with genuine warmth. Nothing here feels loud, contrived, or gimmicky. Instead, perfect ingredients, exceptional technique, and immense creativity combine to create a cuisine brimming with soul and emotion. Dishes like the legendary Cacio e Pepe served in a pig's bladder are, of course, spectacular—not for the visual effect, but because they possess an incredible depth, elegance, and naturalness. This same quality permeates the entire menu: memories, childhood, tradition, and modern interpretation merge into something entirely unique. What I find particularly impressive is how poetic this cuisine remains despite all its technical sophistication. Some dishes are almost like little stories—sometimes warm and comforting, sometimes surprisingly playful, but always with remarkable clarity and a deep respect for the ingredients. Added to this is the exceptional hospitality, which has become rare even in top-tier restaurants. You don't feel like you're in a temple of fine dining, but genuinely welcome. Elegant, attentive, but never aloof. And then, of course, there's the location on Lake Garda, which makes the entire experience almost unreal. For me, Lido 84 is now clearly one of the most impressive restaurants in Europe—not only because of its culinary excellence, but because it achieves something far more difficult: bringing emotion to the plate.

18/03/2026: I'm starting on a sad note because you'll never be able to experience or share an experience like this again (it closes this Sunday), because I'm getting emotional writing these words, like when I ate the spaghetti I've been wanting to try for years... we were fortunate enough to experience certain flavors, certain dishes, combinations, ideas, and emotions in this place, and I hope the next time we try Camanini's dishes will be as soon as possible. On the one hand, I'd like to comment on how unique the dishes were (the photos speak for themselves) or how beautiful it was to see the perfect decor, but what we prefer to share is the kindness, empathy, and humanity that the entire staff demonstrated. It's indescribable, and it made a fantastic evening that we'll remember for a lifetime, something words can't express. I just wanted to say thank you, and we truly hope to see you again soon. 17/07/2026: Spectacular food. We do not usually eat at the same restaurant but this one was so exceptional that ate here 3 times. The staff were extremely welcoming and everything from the carpaccio, the fresh pasta and the fresh fish was superb. Fantastic wine and spritz and the cost was extremely reasonable, particularly considering the amazing quality.

03/05/2026: It was our first time here at Il Cortiletto and we were truly thrilled! We recommend it, especially if, like us, you want to take advantage of its strategic location in the historic center, just steps from the Archaeological Museum (also recommended!). The staff is welcoming, and the dishes blend local products with innovative flavors. The dishes are always balanced yet tasty, and every choice reveals thoughtful consideration. The dining room seats no more than 50 people, but this makes the experience even more special and intimate. We'll definitely be back!

29/07/2026: We had dinner at the Antica Locanda del Contrabbandiere and were truly satisfied. The staff was friendly, kind, and welcoming. The food was excellent, served with great care, so much so that our mouths were still watering the next day just thinking about it! The location is also very pretty and well-kept. A place we recommend and will gladly return to.

21/07/2026: I search for restaurants and read countless reviews. Satisfying one's taste buds has become a challenge these days, for many reasons. Most of the time, it's a total disappointment. High prices, meager portions, forgettable service. But finally, at Locanda del Contrabbandiere, a glimmer of hope. The chef presents his recipes, aware of their value and deliciousness. Add to that the friendly atmosphere, which doesn't hurt, and the countryside location, which is already a treat and an added bonus. Everything was perfect, in short, even the price, which is more than worthy for the quality achieved. What can I say? Congratulations, we'll definitely be back, highly recommended! A truly satisfying culinary experience.

02/06/2026: ​We visited Sant'Anna twice during our stay, and both experiences were flawless. ​The Atmosphere: We arrived without a reservation, but they managed to find us a wonderful table. The restaurant is spacious, meaning you never feel crowded or too close to other tables. ​The Service: Staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and never intrusive. Their food and wine recommendations were spot on. ​The Food & Quality: Simply outstanding. The vegetables are farm-to-table (grown in the field next door), and both the pasta and desserts are strictly homemade. The veal steak we had on our second night was cooked to perfection and melted in our mouth. ​Value: The price-to-quality ratio is excellent. You get top-tier, authentic food at a very fair price. ​A special mention goes to Ms. Vera, the chef and owner, who went far beyond our expectations. If you want an authentic, high-quality dining experience this is the place to go!

08/08/2026: After a long 24-hour flight and train journey, we were finally able to sit down and enjoy a meal. After ordering, we could quietly admire the river view and the architecture of Venice's main island across the water. We ordered salad, squid ink pasta, and tiramisu, among other things. Overall, the food was quite good, although the flavors became a bit strong towards the end. The tiramisu, in particular, was very different from anything I'd had before; I haven't tasted anything like its crispy biscuit texture in other Italian cities since. It's definitely worth trying. The only minor downside was that several bees kept trying to get on our table to eat our food, especially the prosciutto in the salad. The staff had to bring out an electric mosquito swatter several times to try and shoo them away. This wasn't the restaurant's fault; perhaps the smell was just too tempting for the bees.

16/07/2026: Lunch for four, Sunday, June 21, 2026. Two of us had already been there (well), a few years ago, and now four of us are back. We opted for the à la carte menu, accompanied by a bottle of wine chosen from the extensive wine list. After a complimentary Russian salad, we started with an excellent veal with tuna sauce, a delicious Monferrina, and an excellent zucchini flan with pecorino fondue. Followed by two Monastero agnolotti, a classic Rabaton, and a squid ink ravioli with shrimp. Then a grilled sliced ​​steak. For dessert, three delicious Lu IGP hazelnut cakes with vanilla ice cream and a fantastic tiramisu with a liquid heart covered in dark chocolate. The place is welcoming and beautiful, the noise level was normal even though all the seats were occupied. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and even quick to serve. We will definitely be back.
