02/03/2026: We celebrated my daughter's eighteenth birthday. The venue was stunning, overlooking the lake, making it all so romantic. The staff was welcoming and extremely professional, accommodating our every request. A special mention goes to Diego, the dedicated owner, full of ideas and always ready to help. His immediate empathy made everyone feel right at home. If you're looking for an elegant and welcoming venue, Chalet del Lago won't disappoint.

23/01/2026: These are the kind of RESTAURANTS that make you want to return to try the rest... As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by the staff with an old-fashioned kindness... and immediately afterward, they brought us a "welcome amuse-bouche." The staff were very professional and smiling, the fish was excellently cooked and truly exquisite!! I absolutely recommend it.

01/02/2026: Terrible experience. I booked two weeks in advance, and once I arrived at the exact time, the "lady" told me I hadn't called and asked me to show her the phone call. Once she showed it, she said, "I'm sure I didn't," and she wanted to be right. I told her that if she said no, I'd book somewhere else and nothing. Terrible experience. I'll never go there again. P.S. Thank goodness there are waiters who save the owner's bad attitude. The waiters are truly TOP. I'm sorry the waiter came to the table and asked me to remove the review when we live in a democratic country. If the owner had shown her face, I would have considered it. You have to know how to accept criticism that helps you improve, not just compliments.

01/02/2026: Terrible experience. The receptionist was decidedly unfriendly and incapable of admitting a mistake regarding the reservation we had made well in advance. She even insinuated that we had somehow made a mistake, even after having shown her, at her request, the phone's call log. Furthermore, after waiting 15 minutes outside in the cold with a disabled woman due to the lack of a ramp at the entrance (one was only located at the back), and the door opening being one-way. WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING.

31/12/2025: Dear friends, please don't let the "basic ambiance" that some might perceive put you off. They offer fantastic food here. Whether pasta, pizza, salad, or meat, everything was excellent and reasonably priced. The service is courteous and attentive. We'll definitely be back!

20/12/2025: We were staying at a nearby hotel and looking for a pizza place for dinner. The hotel staff recommended this place, and we immediately headed there. We were so lucky to find such a quiet, authentic establishment! We ordered two pizzas, fried cheese, and spaghetti. It wasn't crowded, the service was excellent, the food was delicious, and the prices were reasonable. I hope we'll be able to come back again! It's just a shame I didn't take a photo of the decor.

12/02/2026: I visited La Griglia in San Gimignano and was very satisfied. The atmosphere is welcoming, the staff is friendly and helpful. The typical local dishes are carefully prepared and have an authentic flavor; I recommend the pasta with ragù and the steak, which was really well cooked. I also found the quality/price ratio to be good for the area. I will definitely return when I pass through San Gimignano.
