15/07/2026: Few things can rival a dinner overlooking the sunset on the Amalfi Coast and the Church of San Gennaro. The setting is simply breathtaking. We thoroughly enjoyed the fish antipasti, the anchovy salad, and a delicious lasagna. To top it all off, a spectacular tiramisu. Excellent value for money and a highly recommended experience.

05/07/2026: The dishes were not at all balanced, the staff was very courteous and attentive, but the cuisine, in my opinion, did not live up to expectations. It was the first time I was disappointed by a Michelin-recommended restaurant.

28/06/2026: The dishes weighed about 20 grams each, excluding the fried food, in a place whose name alone would seem to promise to satisfy a huge hunger. Instead, the dishes were unusual, unsatisfying, and often more focused on appearance than substance. Too much emphasis on the plating and not enough on the content: mediocre dishes, certainly not trattoria-style, but not even a premium restaurant. I tried to find some positives, especially since some at the table found it passable, but personally, I found too many flaws overall. The bread was good, as was the oil. But what about the rest? The dishes were served on enormous plates à la Checco Zalone: ​​"delicious" fish that tasted like tuna in a jar, special sauces "marinated for a year" that ultimately proved nothing special, and fried food comparable to that of a festival, with the fried food completely covering the flavor of the rest. Furthermore, I found fish that was uncleaned and full of bones, which I couldn't even stomach. No one, however, was concerned that a ball of practically regurgitated food remained on my plate. Luckily, there was "wild salad" to degrease the food... Even the dessert fell short of expectations: a 10-piece plating, premium ceramics, and designer cutlery, but the flavor didn't live up to the appearance. The music was too loud: at times, I couldn't hear the waiter, and I had to raise my voice to speak to others, even though we were sitting at a far table. The waiters also didn't seem very knowledgeable about explaining the menu: they could read what was already written, without adding much else. It's certainly a matter of subjective taste, but this was my personal experience: too much form, too little substance, and disappointed expectations.

24/04/2026: We were on a road trip in Sicily and had dinner here. We had the best pizza of our entire vacation! We highly recommend this restaurant, whether you're craving pizza or a classic Italian meal with pasta and meat or fish. The service was very friendly, and you can speak Italian or English. We were even treated to a complimentary limoncello at the end. The restaurant is located right on the beach. Parking is easy and plentiful, and the location is perfect for a stroll along the shore.

10/08/2026: About a month ago, my wife and I rented "La Locanda degli Amici" for our fourth wedding anniversary. For three days, we were fortunate enough to live and host our family and friends from all over the world in a little corner of paradise. I want to thank all the staff for their warm hospitality! We had a wonderful time!!!

09/08/2026: On our way back to Veneto from Salento, we stopped for a night in the area, and the friends' inn is just a few minutes from the B&B where we stayed. A very beautiful and well-maintained place with ample parking, and the owner and waiters are young, friendly, and knowledgeable. We had a delicious fried appetizer, very good and plentiful for two, some arrosticini for the child (who loved it), and then we had meat main courses. The tagliata was very good, and the fillet was even better! Excellent quality meat, cooked precisely rare as requested. We also enjoyed the desserts. If we have the opportunity again, we'll gladly return.

19/05/2026: We had the most lovely meal at Il Carretto. The service was so friendly, they were helpful with the menu in explaining the dishes including the specials. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are decent. We had eggplant meatballs for starters which were so tasty. For mains I had the Spaghetti with muscles which had a great amount of muscles and a delicious flavour. We did not have room for dessert but I’d be keen to go back to see what they offer! Highly recommend this restaurant which is in a nice quiet location with beautiful views of the church tower up the alley way.

24/07/2026: We've had lunch/dinner there several times, mostly with friends. The table linens are carefully chosen, the place is clean, and the staff is courteous. We've always chosen the à la carte menu, but last night we opted for the "Giovedì della Locanda" (Thursday at the Inn), a menu chosen by the chef: cocktails, cicchetti, first course, and dessert... and we were pleasantly surprised. The wine list is excellent, and the quality/price ratio is definitely reasonable... highly recommended.

12/07/2026: Excellent food: beef tartare and seabass with mixed salad for two people and very good house white wine by the glass. There were some small blunders in the service, but overall it was a very pleasant experience!
