10/10/2025: So, just one complaint: too much secondhand smoke. Out of respect for everyone, smokers shouldn't smoke in front of the entrance because it ACCUMULATES inside. This is a fault of every establishment except those where the owner's notice is posted. Non-smokers suffer when they have breakfast or when they eat, and if smokers have the right to do so, even more so, those who aren't slaves to smoke have access to oxygen, which is vital.

11/09/2025: Having just one person to manage the lunch break is unthinkable. Twenty minutes of waiting at the cash register while Eleonora was in the kitchen alone preparing piadinas. Perhaps they should consider adding staff at least for the lunch break to avoid wasting a good hour just eating a piadina.

16/11/2025: The place is fantastic, on the lake, and it smells of history. The AVAV sailing club was born here, and world-champion sailors have grown up here. After many changes in management, it now seems to have found its own dimension. Having attended an aperitif-lunch, I can't comment on the food yet. It's definitely perfect for aperitifs and parties. In the summer, it's lovely to... snuggle up on the terrace overlooking our lake, perhaps refreshed by the breeze coming down from the valleys.

23/10/2025: On a Luino evening, somewhat deserted due to the autumnal temperatures, during the week, we were pleasantly surprised by the rich history of the restaurant located in the Luino Sailing Club. "Bohème" has a distinct identity, untouched by an inexorable desire to erase its true character. Good food, kindness, hospitality, and warmth. We'll be back.

05/10/2025: Let me start by saying that La Locanda Garibaldi isn't a restaurant for everyone, as demonstrated by the limited seating available: a deliberate choice, designed to offer genuine attention and care to each guest. It's not the place for those looking for a quick meal or standardized dishes. Here, dinner is an experience, a journey back in time where food is the star, but not the only memory you'll take home. As soon as you enter, you feel like you've walked through a magical door: an old gramophone, an old-fashioned telephone, two pianos, a large fireplace. The atmosphere is warm and authentic, with music that transports you back in time. We're asked to remove our jackets, like at a friend's house. The table setting is meticulously designed and elegant, and the cleanliness is impeccable. Giuseppe, the owner, is an integral part of the experience. From the first phone call, he asks the names of the guests and, without revealing too much, prepares a little surprise. He has a welcoming attitude that makes you feel important: he talks to you, listens, and sits down for a moment, like a long-lost friend. He explains the menu with passion and suggests always spot-on wine pairings, without being intrusive but with taste and expertise. We started with the house antipasto, which varies according to the season and the creativity of Mirella, Giuseppe's wife, the queen of the kitchen. A surprising dish: a stuffed olive with truffle breading, an extraordinary eggplant caponata, a cod medallion with polenta, and numerous seasonal delicacies, including pumpkin. Then came the first courses: my daughter chose "La Botticella," a perfect combination of amatriciana and carbonara, while my husband opted for the maltagliati with bacon and pistachio—a true masterpiece. I opted for a main course of goulash and fresh porcini mushrooms: a dish that smelled of home, with that imperfect perfection that only cooking with love can achieve. The finale was incredibly sweet: a handmade artisanal baba that rivaled even the Neapolitan ones; a green apple sorbet, the best my daughter had ever tasted; and an apple pie that to call poetry doesn't do it justice. The bill? Absolutely adequate for the experience. Don't expect a menu with prices clearly displayed or the usual "cheapest dish" approach: here you choose with your heart, follow your inspiration, and let yourself be guided. Every euro spent is repaid with emotion and authenticity. Thank you, Giuseppe and Mirella, for a wonderful evening: not just a restaurant, but a moment of humanity, taste, and old-fashioned warmth. The only flaw: the waitresses, though very kind, are still not fully integrated into the environment... perhaps they should know the dishes better.

17/09/2025: We went to this restaurant with high expectations, but the experience was very unpleasant. From the moment we arrived, the owner sat with us for almost the entire dinner, talking about himself, with a rather arrogant attitude that made it difficult to admit he was bothering us. Furthermore, we weren't shown a clear menu: they essentially "suggested" the dishes, and in the end we paid €130 for two people for an appetizer, a first course, dessert, water, and wine. The food was good, but it didn't justify the price. The worst thing was feeling so uncomfortable, with no freedom to choose or enjoy the dinner in peace. We also noticed that the owner wasn't very kind to the waitress, who, on the other hand, worked well and was always attentive.

08/11/2025: The heating didn't work; the children only had a thin sheet to use as a blanket. When asked, a dirty wool blanket was brought out. There was a very strong smell coming from the drain. A lot of mold in the bathroom. The windows were drafty, making it noisy and cold. The breakfast buffet had a good selection, but it was exactly the same every day. The breakfast staff were very hardworking.

07/11/2025: They said that they had air conditioning when I booked my room but when I arrived they said that the A/C was off for the season. I then asked 4 different times for someone to come to our room to open the window as the room was stuffy and after repeated assurances it would be done it never happened. Room was small and plain. Aside for easy highway access this hotel has nothing to recommend it.

27/10/2025: I can't rate the rooms as I only used the bar/patisserie area. It's a very welcoming place, with a variety of sweet and savory products, and the option of pre-made meals. The young man who served me was extremely kind and helpful. The muffin with Nutella on top was delicious!

26/10/2025: We stayed at this property for work from Barcelona, ​​and I must say it exceeded our expectations: clean and comfortable rooms, a very nice common area, and the entire team's incredible friendliness. Having the cafeteria and not just downstairs is an incredible plus, given the impressive quality of the products, where it's evident that they're worked with care. Furthermore, the proximity to the center means you can get around on foot without any problems. We salute the entire team and will definitely recommend this place to all our friends here in Barcelona.

16/09/2025: So, it was only 3:49 PM. After a nice motorcycle ride, we stopped here for a drink and a toastie... we were told by the rude waitress that the kitchen was closed... OK, I told my husband, and she heard it and slammed the glasses on the table in an annoyed and rude manner!

14/11/2025: This restaurant was a very pleasant surprise. The atmosphere is modern and welcoming. The decor is tasteful, nothing like the classic, shiny, identical restaurants. This place has character and personality. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Surprise of surprises, the Italian music in the background. The sushi dishes feature unique combinations and Italian ingredients like sun-dried tomatoes. We're from Turin, but I'll find a way to return. Congratulations, guys! You can sense the desire to grow and work hard. See you soon, and keep up the good work.

The staff is extremely kind and helpful, and they make sure that customers are always happy and satisfied with the food and service. The food is very varied, well-prepared, and above all, very fresh and delicious. I'm happy to go there both for the beautiful setting and the truly fantastic food. Highly recommended.

25/10/2025: Never again. Pizza ordered at 6 PM. They told me it would be delivered between 8 and 8:15 PM. At 8:40 PM, I called to ask how it was going. I was told they were baking my pizzas right then. They showed up with the pizzas at 9:15 PM. Leaving aside the embarrassment I made, since I had guests for dinner, including children. Out of curiosity, do you ask for my phone number when you order? Why exactly, since you didn't even notify me of the hour-long delay?

25/10/2025: Very good pizza, highly recommended. Delivery service not recommended. Pizzas ordered and paid for via Deliveroo at 7:40 PM; at 9:30 PM, the pizzas still hadn't been delivered.
