29/04/2025: Grande varietà di pizze salate e dolci. C'è l'imbarazzo della scelta e mangi finchè non ce la fai più! Le pizze mi sono piaciute moltissimo, una più buona dell'altra e non restano alte, il che mi ha permesso di non sentirmi subito piena. Ritorneremo sicuramente presto: assolutamente consigliato!!

But when I see some shady people destroying the work of good people by saying they're closed and giving it one star... I'm sorry, but I'm not having it! This evening, I ate very well, as usual, and I felt compelled to promote this business. So, I give it a 5-star rating.

05/10/2025: Let me start by saying that La Locanda Garibaldi isn't a restaurant for everyone, as demonstrated by the limited seating available: a deliberate choice, designed to offer genuine attention and care to each guest. It's not the place for those looking for a quick meal or standardized dishes. Here, dinner is an experience, a journey back in time where food is the star, but not the only memory you'll take home. As soon as you enter, you feel like you've walked through a magical door: an old gramophone, an old-fashioned telephone, two pianos, a large fireplace. The atmosphere is warm and authentic, with music that transports you back in time. We're asked to remove our jackets, like at a friend's house. The table setting is meticulously designed and elegant, and the cleanliness is impeccable. Giuseppe, the owner, is an integral part of the experience. From the first phone call, he asks the names of the guests and, without revealing too much, prepares a little surprise. He has a welcoming attitude that makes you feel important: he talks to you, listens, and sits down for a moment, like a long-lost friend. He explains the menu with passion and suggests always spot-on wine pairings, without being intrusive but with taste and expertise. We started with the house antipasto, which varies according to the season and the creativity of Mirella, Giuseppe's wife, the queen of the kitchen. A surprising dish: a stuffed olive with truffle breading, an extraordinary eggplant caponata, a cod medallion with polenta, and numerous seasonal delicacies, including pumpkin. Then came the first courses: my daughter chose "La Botticella," a perfect combination of amatriciana and carbonara, while my husband opted for the maltagliati with bacon and pistachio—a true masterpiece. I opted for a main course of goulash and fresh porcini mushrooms: a dish that smelled of home, with that imperfect perfection that only cooking with love can achieve. The finale was incredibly sweet: a handmade artisanal baba that rivaled even the Neapolitan ones; a green apple sorbet, the best my daughter had ever tasted; and an apple pie that to call poetry doesn't do it justice. The bill? Absolutely adequate for the experience. Don't expect a menu with prices clearly displayed or the usual "cheapest dish" approach: here you choose with your heart, follow your inspiration, and let yourself be guided. Every euro spent is repaid with emotion and authenticity. Thank you, Giuseppe and Mirella, for a wonderful evening: not just a restaurant, but a moment of humanity, taste, and old-fashioned warmth. The only flaw: the waitresses, though very kind, are still not fully integrated into the environment... perhaps they should know the dishes better.

17/09/2025: We went to this restaurant with high expectations, but the experience was very unpleasant. From the moment we arrived, the owner sat with us for almost the entire dinner, talking about himself, with a rather arrogant attitude that made it difficult to admit he was bothering us. Furthermore, we weren't shown a clear menu: they essentially "suggested" the dishes, and in the end we paid €130 for two people for an appetizer, a first course, dessert, water, and wine. The food was good, but it didn't justify the price. The worst thing was feeling so uncomfortable, with no freedom to choose or enjoy the dinner in peace. We also noticed that the owner wasn't very kind to the waitress, who, on the other hand, worked well and was always attentive.

11/11/2025: EMBARRASSMENT ROOM. It's 1:04 AM, we've booked rooms (with a confirmation email from the property), but unfortunately the front desk says there are no rooms available, and I find myself with my wife and kids and two other couples with kids having to sleep somewhere in the middle of the night. I hope you close down as soon as possible, you're complete incompetents.

31/10/2025: Welcoming and comfortable atmosphere, but unfortunately the service is terrible! We came in at 6:00 PM, ordered two pancakes at 6:05 PM, and waited 50 minutes. There were only four customers in the restaurant, and the staff numbered at least four, and we were invisible... embarrassing. Furthermore, after a 20-minute wait, the waitress came to tell us that the tiramisu pancake couldn't be made because the kitchen had discovered that the cream was spoiled. Horrible! As a customer, I expect to be greeted and served as is right and in a timely manner. In a place called a "pancake factory," I don't expect it to take 50 minutes to serve two courses, and even if there are outside orders to prepare, those in the dining room are served first! Above all, I expect fresh ingredients. By the way, "good evening," since after paying you didn't even say hello, and never see us again!

27/08/2025: A dive (belly-stomach-busting) into the 80s or maybe 70s. There's no menu, just a verbal one... 2 first course options and 3 second courses, after they brought an unsolicited appetizer (bruschetta with goat cheese and Russian salad), and if you want to drink, white or red wine poured from a bottle. My wife had a Castelmagno risotto, my son a tagliata (which was actually good and plentiful), and after waiting at least 45 minutes, they forgot about a mixed fried fish platter. It arrived, scant, raw; they forgot to bread the 4 pieces I got. Inedible, but I was so hungry I had to chew something, and while waiting, I picked at my wife and son's plates. I later discovered, reading other reviews, that whether you eat or not, the price is the same. If they had said so when ordering, it would have been correct. In the end, the bill was very high: €108 for three dishes and a dessert. Never again. Not recommended.
