Guests are greeted formally by a very gracious staff member, who offers an unusual and highly appreciated tasting of the owners' own olive oil produced in the Val d'Orcia. A tasty and unexpected aperitif was also offered, a delightful prelude to a wonderful dinner. The chef, worthy of the most renowned Michelin-starred restaurants, is dedicated to satisfying the most sophisticated palates with delicate dishes that are both visually delightful and truly enchanting. White reigns supreme, dominating both the interior dining room and the outdoor patio, contrasting here with the pleasantly dated flooring featuring dark brown accents. The establishment is surrounded by greenery, so much so that from the outside, the presence of the road is almost forgotten. We came to celebrate my partner's 30th birthday, bringing a cake worth €100 and asking us to be careful, but apparently the department manager ignored us, turning around and walking away without letting us finish speaking. When it came time for the cake, we learned that the cake had been "crushed" by another cake (even though we thought it looked more like it had fallen than crushed), resulting in a mess beyond our control, making it unrecognizable. The employee simply kept saying it was someone new's fault but that he had already finished his shift, as if trying to shrug off the blame. They gave us a discount by not charging us for the coffee and the service charge, but in the end, my partner's memory will forever be tarnished by this unpleasant episode. For those with mild lactose intolerance, they also offer special mozzarella on the pizza instead of the usual mozzarella. In our case, it's also close to home, so we don't need a car; however, parking, even temporarily, is a problem. Prices are still reasonable, and not everyone offers a pizza card like them, where after 10 pizzas you get a free Margherita or a soft drink/beer.
