03/10/2025: Evening at Pizzium with friends: a choreographed pizza, Neapolitan style, with a thick crust that feels like a pillow (great for sleeping after dinner 😅). A little too soft for my taste, but still good. Quick service, friendly and cheerful staff: they made us feel at home. The place is unique: shelves full of preserves, pickles, pickles, and jars of legumes, complete with "Unfortunately, we're not for sale" signs. A natural question: why waste food on decor? Some jars weren't even expired (I checked them, I admit 🙈). Maybe they'll actually use them one day? Let's hope not as an extra topping on pizzas! In short: a cute place, a fun atmosphere, and a spectacular pizza. Recommended... but watch the shelves!

30/09/2025: I've been here a few times and found it good, but today they lost a customer. I ordered the Lazio pizza, with tomato, anchovies, stracciatella, and puntarelle. "There's no puntarelle," says the waitress: okay, that's fine too. The result was a tomato pizza with four anchovies and four drops of stracciatella, which I was charged full price, 13 euros. Notice that at the cashier I said, "You're not going to charge me 13 euros for the Lazio without puntarelle!" The waitress either didn't understand or pretended not to understand. Goodbye!

25/09/2025: We visited this FAMILY restaurant many time s during our week stay in Laveno. It started with looking for Hot Chocolate “Chocolata Calda GRANDE!” We had brioches with chocolate or marmalade then other meals we had the special of the day which was always posted on the sign outside. I must says the we got to meet the WHOLE family and they were all EXCEPTIONALLY friendly. We did not have to pay in advance they just seemed to know what we had and we paid with out ANY remorse. We got to meet the “Couka” and she taught me a few words in Italian while I helped her with English. Frankly she was pretty good without my help. We shared wine with them and they were all EXCEPTIONALLY very happy to take pictures with us. They teased my friend when he would order a cappuccino to go for his wife. SO friendly we will definitely go back when we return! Laveno is very walkable and safe. Barlafüs is so fun and great food. They made us feel like we were part of their family. It doesn’t get any better than that!!!

17/09/2025: Can't say enough good things about this neighborhood gem. Family owned and operated, this is a great spot to get morning coffee and brioche or come for lunch. Be sure to spend some time visiting with the friendly patrons and you'll learn why Laveno is so special.

24/09/2025: Succulent! The pizza is to die for!

21/09/2025: I've chosen this restaurant several times because its strong point is its well-renovated location and its historical value, which you can sense even before parking. The pizza is very good, and even the gluten-free version for us celiacs is among the best I've known. I always regret not feeling the reflection and care of the environment in the welcome. Rushing and aloofness are what I sense upon arrival; the service is adequate, often unprepared, and neither comforting nor dedicated. The wine selection is limited; moreover, the wines are very common on the Esselunga shelves, but at double the price. The glasses are small, tavern-style glasses, suitable for cheap carafe wine. I also found it very rude when at the cashier they pointed out that I was lucky to find gluten-free pizza without ordering it in advance. If you offer good service, I wouldn't count on luck, but on the customer's surprise, who doesn't always decide where and what to eat the day before. I'll be back when the service is up to par, but for now I'll try my luck elsewhere.

14/03/2025: For my taste, it's a great place! The indoor location is fine, the outdoor one is fine thanks to the management, who set up a series of gazebos, but the surrounding area doesn't help. That said, the aperitifs are reasonably priced and always accompanied by something to eat, there's hassle-free parking, and enough tables for a live music crowd, making it ideal for large gatherings. It's not too crowded, and the background music is good (especially if you're alone) but not too loud (if you're with someone). Honestly, if you're in the area, I recommend it over other places in town that might be suggested by search engines.

04/10/2025: Excellent restaurant. The dishes are very carefully prepared and of high quality. We tried the fillet with porcini mushrooms for the first time, which was truly delicious, and then two first courses, both of which were very carefully prepared and tastefully balanced, something that's hard to find these days. The service is professional and courteous.

28/09/2025: Yes, the restaurant is very good. Reservations are recommended. The rooms in the annex are well-equipped. Breakfast is available in the park. There is no bar in the villa itself. You can get a drink in the lounge. The staff speaks English. Hikes around the lake and the nature reserve are possible. The paths around the lake are very well-maintained, but you have to share them with cyclists. Mosquito repellent is required at the pool after dusk.

31/08/2025: Good quality, varied menu, and satisfactory service. A dinner will set you back no less than €35 per person, including drinks. Recommended for both lunch and dinner.
