13/10/2025: The only restaurant open on Mondays, at the top of the Sacro Monte di Varese, it offers traditional Lombard cuisine; in this season, I recommend trying their polenta, paired with wild boar, gorgonzola, or mushrooms. The blueberry tart is also very good.

12/10/2025: The restaurant is stuck in the 80s, in every sense, even the service which remains familiar and confidential, a rare thing nowadays, the tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms and porcini mushrooms and sausage are phenomenal (strictly handmade pasta) and a mix of fish including a scallop gratin with porcini mushrooms which is top! Congratulations, I recommend it.

09/10/2025: I had a truly wonderful stay! The two hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming – their hospitality made me feel right at home from the very beginning. Everything I needed was provided, and the place was perfectly equipped for a comfortable and relaxing visit. I couldn’t have asked for more. Highly recommended – I would definitely come back!

22/08/2025: The property is very welcoming, just a few minutes from the airport (so convenient), although arriving late at around 11:00 PM was a bit dark... instructions were given to us by text message. Breakfast was already in the room (pastries, rusks, butter, jam (single-use boxes), just 2 slices of toast (which couldn't be reheated), 2 fruit juices, 2 small bottles of water, and coffee). The room is equipped with a coffee machine, refrigerator, fan, and air conditioning. Despite being a tavern, we had no contact with the owner except via text messages. Having paid online, the invoice was in the room. Everything was functional and suited to our needs... but unfortunately, also a bit impersonal... in the sense that it avoids contact with people... perhaps the thing that, besides the decor, is the breakfast items, is what really sticks in your mind about a place... but mine is just an opinion... anyway, recommended.

07/11/2025: A welcoming and beautifully decorated place. The Montanara with ragù was very good. The pizzas were excellent; I would have just preferred a pinch more salt in the dough. The babà was just good, but I wasn't crazy about it, while my friends were very happy with their desserts. The waiter was very good, knowledgeable, and attentive. Definitely recommended.

24/10/2025: A great place for breakfast, lunch breaks, small parties, or aperitifs. My wife and friends often come here, and many other people in the area speak highly of it, including the owners of other nearby bars, such as Tabacchino Bar Sjg. Alessandro, too, and the employees of the nearby Rupos Molina store, who sometimes come here for small co-worker parties, such as retirement parties. Reservations are recommended for small parties. The only downside is the limited outdoor parking spaces nearby, and even though they're reserved for condominium owners and shop customers like me, even if you find a free space, you often run into a man who works at the nearby photocopying center, who often claims the parking area as his own. Yesterday, too, while he was preoccupied with other thoughts, he was walking down from his car just a few meters from a free space, a ridiculous scene. To avoid the usual arguments with the same pushy person, I spoke to him amicably, then entered his shop, telling him I'd give him my regular bar customer spot and that I'd park further ahead, as I wasn't in a hurry. I returned to my car, and he followed me to give him my spot. The owner of this bar also saw everything and, apologetically, tried to accommodate this inconvenience as well as for her other customers. What can I say? This is the only flaw of this family-run establishment (husband and wife). Otherwise, it's a truly lovely place, recommended to everyone, young and old, families, and couples, with everything at great prices. 06/08/2025: I've been going there for many years, unfortunately not often because I'm far from Varese. Whenever I can, if my family wants pizza, we go here. The dough is delicious, the toppings generous, and I feel at home even when it's packed.

01/11/2025: The staff is welcoming, just the right amount of staff, and the menu, though currently limited, is good, well-presented, and very tasty. The atmosphere is cozy, rustic, and tastefully decorated, immersing you in the atmosphere of the stables from the moment you walk into the dining room. I recommend it for a tasty meal, made with excellent ingredients, in a rustic, welcoming atmosphere. I would gladly return.

30/10/2025: Very rustic atmosphere, quite comfortable, there is no crowd 'between the tables', even the noise of the people was acceptable, for the food, for what we ate (cold cuts-cheese platter and grilled meat) - very good, also the house wine good, only flaw, but not important, a bit too long between one course and the other, anyway I recommend it
