31/03/2025: True traditional local food. Nothing pretensious, just good quality, local ingredients. Ravioli with duck and cacao was excellent. Nice company too...

31/03/2025: Trattoria molto carina, accogliente, appena fuori da Pavia lungo l’argine del Ticino. Servizio rapido, cortese e ed efficiente. Antipasto molto buono, vino in bottiglia meno che ordinario, caffè tiepido, imbevibile. Lumache ottime: purtroppo, non si capisce per quale motivo, le infilano in un cestino di pasta fillo che si disfa (mi è stato servito spappolato): meglio sarebbe usare la polenta, è meno impegnativa da impiattare e pure più buona. La nefasta influenza dei cooking show si avverte anche nei dolci: sbrisolona con zabaione, discreta ma zabaione pochissimo, spalmato sul piatto a baffo. Perché non usare una ciotolina, così basta per tutta la porzione? Un bel posto che rischia di venire rovinato dalla paura di non essere abbastanza moderni, o almeno così mi è parso. Il conto abbastanza elevato in rapporto al cibo, decisamente alla buona. Peccato.

09/04/2025: Very nice, welcoming place with an excellent choice of beer, both on tap and in bottles, all offered by producers unrelated to the big commercial brands. Even the food, an excellent "pub" menu, is of high quality and very tasty. A stop that will become a fixed point every time I come to Pavia again.

12/05/2025: abbiamo pranzato in veranda in questo ristorante, molto carino, con proposte interessanti e particolare abbiamo preso risotto al prezzemolo con rane fritte veramente ottimo e spaghettoni con calamari spillo molto saporiti,porzioni abbondanti i dolci ottimi torte tatin con gelato e zuccotto zabaione e cioccolato buono servizio molto cordiale e attento prezzo rapporto qualità prezzo buono un posto sicuramente da ritornare

11/05/2025: We went to this restaurant for lunch today and were positively impressed. Uncommon dishes despite their simplicity.... We took parsley risottos with frogs and sweet garlic cream...an interesting combination, spaghettoni with garlic, oil and chilli pepper embellished with prawns, good desserts, honest price

19/05/2025: La Frottola is an institution. For decades one of the places where you can eat and drink as a couple or in company, in a traditional but refined environment, where the ancient tavern merges with the beauty of a castle. Excellent meat and excellent beers.

22/04/2025: We went to this restaurant again, this time for Easter lunch, the restaurant offered two types of menus, land and sea, every single dish of the two menus was particularly good and cooked with excellent raw materials. To underline the immense helpfulness of the new managers who didn't bat an eyelid at my partner's request for a dish off the menu and presented us with a risotto that was nothing short of exceptional and in no way inferior to a starred dish...what can I say, highly recommended, we will definitely be back to try other dishes that have intrigued us.

22/04/2025: La location vale già da sola il viaggio. Atmosfera straordinaria. Accoglienza cordiale. Piatti squisiti. Bellissima sia l'idea dell'architettura del locale che la cordialità dei proprietari. Un posto fuori dal tempo immerso nel verde e nella tranquillità. Siamo stati benissimo, sia per il cibo che per la convivialità che ispira. Possiamo solo consigliare l'esperienza. Grazie

06/04/2025: Last night together with some friends, we visited the "Casa di straw" restaurant for the second time It's always a pleasure to go here: the good food, the warm and friendly welcome make the occasion even more pleasant The house menu is decided by the managers, but it can vary on the wines I always leave satisfied with the right level of quantity and quality Near the service counter, there is a display with many real delicacies of preserves, jams and compotes to choose from for a purchase that is not just a small souvenir We will come back for sure

25/05/2025: We were here in May 2025. Very kind service, absolutely delicious ice cream. Yoghurt tastes fresh, the black chocolate has chocolate chips in it, temperature and texture are perfect. Recommended without hesitation ) :-)

02/05/2025: We ate from the menu for the occasion which included a starter of cured meats, fried gnocco, caramelized onions. Two first courses, second course, water, wine and coffee. There is obviously also an à la carte menu. All good, quality products. Friendly staff. I would recommend it.
