12/05/2026: We visited this restaurant in Vigevano for a birthday party. There were five of us, and from the first moment we felt truly special.
Even though we didn't know each other, the owners welcomed us with great warmth and simplicity, making us immediately feel like friends. We were told that eating here feels "like being at home," and I must say they fully kept this promise.
The cuisine offers genuine, high-quality products, carefully selected and prepared with passion. During the evening, we were recommended some truly interesting dishes, all authentic and delicious. The meat, in particular, was excellent and cooked to perfection.
We had a wonderful evening, accompanied by a family-like, sincere, and welcoming atmosphere.
It's one of those places where you don't just go to eat well, but also to feel at ease.
My compliments to the entire staff. We'll definitely be back. 🥩👌🏼

04/06/2026: I booked for my wedding anniversary. A first for me. What can I say? Everything was top-notch. You had a fantastic experience. The owner was welcoming, smiling, helpful, and very friendly. The food was top-notch. The waitress was top-notch. Everything was top-notch, and I recommend it to everyone. Next time I'll try the tasting menu and the room. A perfect gift for a couple.

🎗️ I Castagni is a hidden gem in the small town of Vigevano. Access requires a private car or taxi to navigate through treacherous, narrow streets – a surprisingly quiet location for a 4-star hotel and a 1-MICHELIN Star restaurant. Opened in 1989, the restaurant has long held its prestigious 1-MICHELIN Star. Its name translates to "chestnut tree." The main dining area is divided into several sections, decorated in a retro style with antique furniture and paintings by local artists on the walls. All tables are covered with white tablecloths, enhancing the luxurious atmosphere. Don't miss the extensive wine list of over 600 labels, all offered at reasonable prices.
🎗️ I Castagni is a classic restaurant undeniably worth a visit. Each dish offers easily accessible flavors. Moreover, the prices per dish are almost comparable to typical mid-range restaurants. Interested diners will need to make reservations by phone only. For those who want to relax immediately after checking in, they can choose to book one of the hotel's six rooms, which start at approximately 5,000 baht.

Packaged breadsticks and supermarket bread.
I honestly didn't like it, and the prices were on the high side for the quality.

26/05/2026: I went for lunch today, my first visit to Vigevano. I stopped in the beautiful Piazza Ducale for a quick lunch and, after searching for the restaurant that I liked the most, I chose Rinascimento: both for the menu, which I found very inspiring, and for the friendliness of the waiter who served me, Aquila.
I started with a small aperitif at 11:30, since the kitchen was still closed, accompanied by a glass of Franciacorta. Next, I chose an appetizer of mixed seafood crudités.
For my entrée, I received a shrimp wrapped in kataifi pastry on a bed of red onions: truly delicious and carefully prepared. Next came the fish appetizer, and to finish, a cool and refreshing sorbet, perfect for today's scorching hot day (37 degrees!).
It was a truly pleasant lunch break, not only for the location and the quality of the food, but also for the kindness and professionalism of Aquila and his colleagues.
As soon as I have the chance, I will definitely come back!

24/03/2026: I planned my visit to Vigevano during the week and was completely focused on visiting this tea room.
It exceeded all expectations.
The room is fantastic: thoughtful and artistic decor, lighting positioned to create a unique atmosphere, and tasteful music perfect for conversation.
Their tea selection is extensive and can accommodate every taste, as are their desserts.
We tried their "sweet tasting" selection, the exact name of which escapes me at the moment. It includes: slices of the cake of the day, samples of biscuits and croissants (all in abundance and at an extremely reasonable price), and even a discount if you decide to order tea with it.
The owner and staff are truly kind, friendly, and available to help at any time.
What can I say? I was more than satisfied and will definitely return with friends to show them this gem of a place.
10/03/2026: We stopped in for a coffee and were enchanted by the beautiful, unique decor, which was truly well-kept, and the bathroom was clean.
A truly lovely place to stop during a stroll through Vigevano.

(even if I would avoid the fan shirts hanging on the wall) I can't justify the €3 cover charge..."non-existent"...for me the cover charge is: bottled water with a sealed cap, tablecloth and cloth napkin... clean cutlery... (I shouldn't point it out if they are unsuitable, they are not brought to the table)... that said... the dishes would be better heated so that even the last bite... like the first... would remain at least lukewarm... a shame because the combination of scallops, basil spheres and... was good but cold... ditto for the pasta mix with ragù mix... another flaw about the cheese... I'm sorry but the first dry slice should not be offered to your customers... I can't say anything about the desserts... because we were offered coffee directly
11/11/2025: I dined at Drogheria last October 24th. While I come quite often, I have to say this time was a really bad night, from the Made in USA appetizer (which I only recently discovered wasn't as it was served—I've attached a photo) to the pasta dishes (for which we waited almost an hour) that arrived within five minutes of each other, with my "Albertone Nazionale" being salty and undercooked, and my girlfriend's "Oscar Wild" being completely bland. It was definitely not up to Drogheria standards (the desserts were a positive note).
