La Gallina Fumante In Bereguardo

Lunch with family. First course, second course, and side dish all at a fixed price. Overall, not bad. Excellent service.

We're from Pavia, and they told us to try Osteria Gallina Fumante. We looked at the menu, and since it was our first time, we ordered a first course, second course, and side dish, without checking the price. Everything was good. The only downside was seeing breadsticks at other tables. Asked if it was possible to have them, the answer was that those were reserved for those ordering the special menu. Aside from the price for two breadsticks, we hadn't even been informed about the special menu. Then, looking at the menu, I realized that this special menu exists. It was definitely my ignorance in reading the menu, but the lady's explanations were unprofessional and very rude. Another point about the air conditioning inside. We were told that access is restricted unless there are customers inside, but I wonder if I'll arrive in 37-degree heat, and of course I won't go in in the heat now that it's cooled down after I've finished eating. Anyway, the owner is very haughty and rude, but otherwise everything is fine. But she doesn't see me anymore.

Everything perfect and delicious

The cuisine is exquisite, with dishes that are never predictable, and the service is courteous. The place is very charming, quaint, and outside of town.

Choice of menu: 4 starters, 4 main courses, 4 side dishes, €14. Good quality, dessert and coffee not included. Limited seating.

Excellent restaurant with tasty dishes and excellent service, only lacking parking and outdoor tables a little hot as it is only open for lunch. We will be back.

Old-fashioned place, I recommend booking, good food, if you can, stay out for lunch

We stopped on the way back from Bologna and ate very well, excellent dishes and fair prices. The only flaw was that we couldn't bring our dog with us, otherwise everything was perfect.

Nice place, good food, excellent table service (very kind and professional waitress). It's a shame the owner, when she charged us two extra items, added them to the bill. When the mistake was pointed out to her, she was annoyed and resentful, throwing a €1 coin on the counter and leaving (the incorrect amount was actually €10, but we preferred to overlook it). It's a shame; it could have been a pleasant experience, but it was ruined by this unprofessional attitude, unbecoming of a hospitality professional.

At the last minute, we feel like spending a Saturday in Trivolzio! And we immediately want to return to the "Gallina Fumante," where we've always had a great time. Before leaving Milan, I made a reservation for four adults and a child, and the lady kindly reserved a table for us right away. Courtesy combined with good food, we love it 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 And we also like the super fair prices: first course + second course + side dish = 14 euros! My 5-year-old son devoured a giant plate of gnocchi with duck ragù... and had a great time listening to the rooster crowing nearby! Friendly and kind staff, pleasantly rustic atmosphere, parking a little complicated but doable. Recommended and we will definitely be back, see you soon and thank you!
