The restaurant is worth a return trip to Pavia just for! The generous menu, the exquisite charcuterie, and the excellent gnocchi fritti. The welcome was delightful despite the language barrier.

21/07/2026: I often go for takeout pizzas, and they're delicious and reasonably priced compared to other places. I went for dinner and was very satisfied. The fish is fresh, the quality is excellent, and the price is fair. The service was efficient; we didn't have to wait long. We were served wine, and the staff was very courteous and friendly. It was a pleasant evening, and they deserved the tip. We'll definitely be back.
04/07/2026: Nice place. But what makes the difference is the paella, which they serve on Thursday evenings and is spectacular. The pizzas are also good. The staff is courteous and helpful, with professionalism. The atmosphere is very pleasant. I recommend booking.
For me, it's always a nice place to return to.

04/06/2026: I booked for my wedding anniversary. A first for me. What can I say? Everything was top-notch. You had a fantastic experience. The owner was welcoming, smiling, helpful, and very friendly. The food was top-notch. The waitress was top-notch. Everything was top-notch, and I recommend it to everyone. Next time I'll try the tasting menu and the room. A perfect gift for a couple.

🎗️ I Castagni is a hidden gem in the small town of Vigevano. Access requires a private car or taxi to navigate through treacherous, narrow streets – a surprisingly quiet location for a 4-star hotel and a 1-MICHELIN Star restaurant. Opened in 1989, the restaurant has long held its prestigious 1-MICHELIN Star. Its name translates to "chestnut tree." The main dining area is divided into several sections, decorated in a retro style with antique furniture and paintings by local artists on the walls. All tables are covered with white tablecloths, enhancing the luxurious atmosphere. Don't miss the extensive wine list of over 600 labels, all offered at reasonable prices.
🎗️ I Castagni is a classic restaurant undeniably worth a visit. Each dish offers easily accessible flavors. Moreover, the prices per dish are almost comparable to typical mid-range restaurants. Interested diners will need to make reservations by phone only. For those who want to relax immediately after checking in, they can choose to book one of the hotel's six rooms, which start at approximately 5,000 baht.

The staff are friendly and quick—well done! The food is good, well-prepared, and served promptly, especially at lunchtime when work is tight. And the ethical project behind it is very good and, above all, seems to be well-executed. Well done, I recommend it.

The best pizza (Parma) I've had in at least two years 😅 Perfectly thin and crispy crust, delicious toppings. The white wine served in a jug pairs perfectly.
The staff is mostly local. The staff speaks mostly Italian, but you can communicate with sign language 😉
We were just passing through, but if we were in the area again, I wouldn't hesitate to come back for a meal.

30/07/2026: I've been going to Rimulas for years and I realize I've never reviewed it! One of my favorites, a regular stop every time the menu changes.
The food is always delicious, innovative, and balanced.
The quality of the dishes is excellent.
Perhaps if I really had to find a flaw, I'd say the desserts aren't usually up to par with the other dishes.
The service is outstanding, attentive and professional. Cecilia is the undisputed queen of the dining room. Professional, competent.

24/07/2026: First time. Lunch for 12 today for a celebration. Very kind staff, discreet but always there when needed. Excellent appetizer and exceptional ravioli. The rosé wine was also excellent. Highly recommended.
21/07/2026: I've been several times over the years and have always had a great time. The food and wine are quality, and the location, in my opinion, is one of the most beautiful in Pavia. If I could, I'd add a few stars for the service, because the new waiter, Andreas, was truly excellent and kind! This is the first time I've written a review for a waiter!

07/06/2026: Very nice agriturismo, you can also eat there for lunch on Thursdays. We paid €14.50 per person. I don't know if Saturday and Sunday are the same. The food was good, but it seemed more like a fixed-price business lunch. Again, I can't say Saturday and Sunday are the same. If that were the case, I think you can find better options in the area for a lower price. It's worth considering, though, because during the week, it's hard to find a restaurant open for lunch without getting ripped off. I'd definitely try it again on Saturday or Sunday.

11/08/2026: I'm revising my review after the change of management... and I have to say the quality has remained unchanged, with the menu still all-you-can-eat. Everything is the same as when Stefano was there, but now Matteo is there and he manages everything excellently. Well done. Regulars should try it and believe it.

The pizza is good, with a light and easily digestible dough, and classic flavors without the pretentiousness of gourmet pizzas with sophisticated ingredients that, in my opinion, are a bit out of place. They also make pizza by the meter, which is a great option if you're looking for a variety of options and have a large table. Their fish-based first courses are also delicious and well-served. During the summer, they also have a small outdoor terrace.

Fried strawberry hosomaki completely cold.
The employee replied, "They've already prepared it beforehand." The sashimi was horrible and tasteless.
The red shrimp smelled like rotten fish. Nothing was done at the time. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
The uramaki were inedible.
A ruined Saturday.
