17/08/2025: This place is a hidden gem in Pratolungo with kind service, wonderful food and wine, and stunning views of the northern Italian mountains. I especially appreciated the freshly hand-made pasta. An absolutely great experience and extremely family-friendly. 💕

20/04/2026: At the top of the Brallo Pass lies an inn that deserves to be recognized as an authentic cultural and gastronomic landmark of the area. More than just a simple hotel and restaurant, it is, as proudly proclaimed on its business card, a true inn, offering a warm, welcoming, and pleasantly retro yet always authentic atmosphere. Its clientele is testament to this: locals, hikers, and travelers mingle effortlessly, creating a lively and authentic atmosphere.
The dining areas are spacious and well-organized, while the four simply furnished rooms are comfortable, dignified, and functional, perfect for both a short stay and a base for exploring the area's numerous trails.
The cuisine is one of its strengths: solid, regional, and deeply rooted in tradition. Its location, on the border between Lombardy and Emilia-Romagna, is also reflected in its cured meats, including coppa and pancetta Piacentine alongside salami from Varzi. Among the must-try dishes are the tagliolini with wild boar ragù, the veal with tuna sauce, and the pork ribs, so tender and well-cooked you can enjoy them without even using a knife.
The service harks back to the tradition of old-time inns, with dishes served by the tray and a willingness to serve, which contributes to an even more convivial experience. The wine list is simple but adequate.
The rooms are also a significant added value: they allow you to fully enjoy your dinner without worries, considering that Brallo is about forty kilometers of Apennine roads from the nearest towns.
Overall, a highly recommended place, one to return to several times during the season.
29/03/2026: We arrived by motorbike without a reservation and the place was completely full. Despite this, the (very kind) staff found us a spot and treated us wonderfully. Excellent food at a very fair price.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!

18/01/2026: I went for lunch on Sunday. I have to say, from appetizers to dessert, everything was delicious. The staff was also excellent....Well done!!!!
02/11/2025: Excellent, authentic food, simple, and delicious.
The waitress was very kind and attentive. I have many allergies and couldn't have eaten some of the dishes on the menu, but they improvised a delicious appetizer that met my needs!
I highly recommend it!

27/06/2025: Ho dato 5 punti. Per due ragioni: il luogo, veramente accogliente e la qualità della cucina. Costi? Il giusto. Quando siamo arrivati ci siamo trovati un pò in imbarazzo: locale buio e deserto. Era un pò presto in verità. Abbiamo fatto due passi. Vale la pena per il belvedere e la piccola chiesetta dedicata a San Rocco. Tornati il titolare ci ha chiesto cosa volevamo mangiare: salame e coppa e un primo. Tutto buono e di qualità. Non fatevi fregare dalle apparenze. Non è un'anonima trattoria di campagna, ma un ristorante con i baffi.
21/06/2025: Questo posto speciale è veramente un gioello! Abbiamo avuto una enorme fortuna di scoprirlo venendo da Torino 1 volta all’anno e ora aspetto sempre questo periodo per andare a trovare Piercarlo e il suo magico locale! IMPECCABILE, MERAVIGLIOSO, SPETTACOLARE, SORPRENDENTE il ristorante ti accoglie e ti conquista il cuore! Prima con la famiglia e poi con un gruppo degli amici abbiamo vissuto una esperienza gastronomica pazzesca…fra una quantità dei piatti che non finivano tutte ma tutte le portate sono state ECCEZIONALI! Qualità, varietà, quantità insieme con l’ accoglienza e la gentilezza straordinari rendono questo ristorante indimenticabile!

03/08/2025: Un vero baluardo della tradizione gastronomica oltrepadana, Si raggiunge con una bellissima strada panoramica che costeggia il torrente Staffora, che raggruppa quattro regioni e crea la grande vallata che arriva a Voghera. Una natura lussureggiante che vale la pena dio conoscere. Il ristorante è all'altezza della situazione. Offre una cucina curatissima e strettamente legata alla tradizione del territorio. Con qualche ricercatezza. I proprietari sono gentili e attentissimi, per un servizio impeccabile. Inutile dire che salumi e vino sono strepitosi, così come la selezione di primi piatti che varia d stagione. Lasagne e gnocchetti verdi sono stati la nostra esperienza indimenticabile. Antipasti originali e squisiti, carne di alta qualità. Una sala confortevole e un ampio parcheggio sono particolari da non trascurare. Per una gustoso benvenuti in Oltrepo.

12/11/2024: Sono stata in questo ristorante a pranzo il giorno del mio anniversario di matrimonio…abbiamo mangiato cibo davvero buonissimi, prezzi giustissimi, personale molto gentile e abbiamo anche usufruito della spa e dei massaggi…tutto spettacolare…abbiamo passato davvero una bella giornata
