29/05/2026: Wonderful food and great service in a great location

26/05/2026: I went for lunch today, my first visit to Vigevano. I stopped in the beautiful Piazza Ducale for a quick lunch and, after searching for the restaurant that I liked the most, I chose Rinascimento: both for the menu, which I found very inspiring, and for the friendliness of the waiter who served me, Aquila. I started with a small aperitif at 11:30, since the kitchen was still closed, accompanied by a glass of Franciacorta. Next, I chose an appetizer of mixed seafood crudités. For my entrée, I received a shrimp wrapped in kataifi pastry on a bed of red onions: truly delicious and carefully prepared. Next came the fish appetizer, and to finish, a cool and refreshing sorbet, perfect for today's scorching hot day (37 degrees!). It was a truly pleasant lunch break, not only for the location and the quality of the food, but also for the kindness and professionalism of Aquila and his colleagues. As soon as I have the chance, I will definitely come back!

19/08/2026: I had a good calzone, cooked perfectly, with flour used for normal pizzas, like 00, bordering on 0. Mixed fried fish and good mussels. The attentive and friendly staff will make me want to come back, especially for the dishes.

03/08/2026: We stopped by for lunch by chance. Excellent restaurant with a beautiful view of the greenery. Very friendly staff. We had excellent grilled meat (fillet and sirloin). We will definitely be back.

03/08/2026: Absolutely delicious dinner, perhaps the best osso bucco I have ever tasted. The wine too (barbaresco, by the glass) was delicious. My friend's truffle risotto was out of this world, as was his refined polenta and ham starter. Friendly, knowledgeable professional service and great atmosphere. The restaurant is on an uninteresting looking street and is almost unnoticeable so be sure to note down the address. It's a Pavia must!

22/07/2026: In a tastefully furnished historic setting, excellent traditional dishes are served: ravioli, risotto, tagliolini with truffles, and braised meats with polenta. In the summer, you can also dine al fresco under the porticoes of the old Darsena. Friendly and attentive service, exquisite dishes. Highly recommended!

20/07/2026: I had a new experience: I dined at home with gourmet restaurant dishes! Yes, it's an experience I recommend. The service and helpful staff were excellent. Excellent, from the appetizer to the main course; I preferred the fish. I compliment the cuisine, and the pizzas are excellent.

21/04/2026: I'd call it "The Circle of Meat"—the real, good one! A total of 10/10. GO and let yourself be welcomed by an embrace of intense aromas and flavors... the real ones (sadly, almost forgotten!), excellent raw materials expertly cooked. A vintage venue, so small, delicious, cozy, and discreet! The perfect hosts... they welcome you into their home, offer advice, and pamper you! AN EXPERIENCE TO DO AND DO AGAIN... THANK YOU :o)

28/03/2026: Excellent quality products, high-quality meat dishes and cheeses. Excellent local cured meats, tasty ravioli, excellent sliced ​​beef, and delicious entrecote! The cuts of meat are just the right size, almost generous. Homemade desserts and fruit spirits are simple but truly delicious. Organized and top-notch service. Fair prices. Definitely worth returning! Reservations are a must because the place is small and has only a few tables. Well done!

09/08/2026: Had lunch with my family today. The staff is very friendly and competent. The food is more than excellent, including the desserts. The wine is excellent. Compliments to the chef, she deserves a lot.

13/06/2026: Honestly, a delicious dinner, delightful staff, and a delightful atmosphere. Very tasty menu. We had ricotta and asparagus tortelli. Cream of onions with anchovies and fried fish. Stuffed neck and stuffed guinea fowl. And finally, mascarpone crème brûlée. All at a fair price. Perfect evening! Everything was delicious.

13/07/2026: I've been there about 10 times even though it's not in my area. Pizza is okay. They also have a lunch menu. The food is good. The only thing is that the pizza chef, who is also the owner, is enthusiastic. I think it's perhaps a bit too much if you want a bit of peace and quiet.

02/08/2026: Dinner for two, a must-do! Let's be honest: visit the website, check out the Facebook page, and you'll notice the same care goes into everything at this tavern, from the kitchen to the bathrooms. So, dinner for two (pictured): Non-Unique Rings, Troll Tongues, and Trinity Strength; Mystic Balance x2; 2 "human" beers (medium); Tundra and Dragon Tears; Final Boss and Soul of a Lord. From appetizer to dessert, with soft drinks and liqueurs, it was about €70—more than fair! In fact, I usually spend around €100 for two. Qualitatively, all the ingredients were noteworthy; the entire place seemed clean and well-kept; COVID rules were respectfully followed, from table cleaning to the (free) use of games. The tavern staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Ultimately, I think even someone who isn't particularly into nerddom or passionate about the Middle Ages or fantasy can find this tavern pleasantly surprising and enjoy the food. If you're in Pavia, I highly recommend it. PS. I remind you that the place has a good number of rooms and seats, ideal for special evenings. PPS. The "soul of a lord" dessert is practically made of fresh cream; I don't recommend it to anyone who doesn't like it (like me xD).

04/07/2026: A beautiful medieval restaurant with excellent food and very friendly staff dressed in medieval costumes. It's great to be able to use the playroom after dinner.

13/07/2026: We came here and had a wonderful time! We were tourists in Italy, and we had no issue communicating. The staff was very acomoddating to our lack of Italian and our two dogs. The pizza was amazing and very inexpensive. If we're ever back in the area, we'll definitely come by even if only to see the wonderful staff.
