Dinner for two, a must-do! Let's be honest: visit the website, check out the Facebook page, and you'll notice the same care goes into everything at this tavern, from the kitchen to the bathrooms. So, dinner for two (pictured): Non-Unique Rings, Troll Tongues, and Trinity Strength; Mystic Balance x2; 2 "human" beers (medium); Tundra and Dragon Tears; Final Boss and Soul of a Lord. From appetizer to dessert, with soft drinks and liqueurs, it was about €70—more than fair! In fact, I usually spend around €100 for two. Qualitatively, all the ingredients were noteworthy; the entire place seemed clean and well-kept; COVID rules were respectfully followed, from table cleaning to the (free) use of games. The tavern staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Ultimately, I think even someone who isn't particularly into nerddom or passionate about the Middle Ages or fantasy can find this tavern pleasantly surprising and enjoy the food. If you're in Pavia, I highly recommend it. PS. I remind you that the place has a good number of rooms and seats, ideal for special evenings. PPS. The "soul of a lord" dessert is practically made of fresh cream; I don't recommend it to anyone who doesn't like it (like me xD).

A beautiful medieval restaurant with excellent food and very friendly staff dressed in medieval costumes. It's great to be able to use the playroom after dinner.

Always a sure thing! One of the best places in Pavia. Wonderful medieval setting, the staff are friendly and always attentive to their customers' needs... the veggie burger is spectacular, the trio of sauces is amazing, the beers are always good, and the spirits too. Highly recommended.

I've been coming to this place for a while now, and what struck me from my first visit—and hasn't changed since—is the quality and attention to detail found in every detail, from the ambiance to the food to the themed evening events.

I visited the tavern this winter. The food was excellent, as was the service. I was amazed by the excellent value for money.

As soon as you step inside, you immediately feel like you've stepped back in time. The atmosphere is meticulously crafted down to the last detail. The staff is friendly, patient, and attentive; they don't just serve tables, they also guide you through your choices and remember who ordered what, even when the place is packed—something you won't find anywhere else. The food and drinks are excellent, refined, and distinctive, starting with the names on the menu. An experience not to be missed, and in my opinion, one to repeat!

A wonderful and immersive venue, an unforgettable culinary experience, with unique dishes that truly transport you back in time. Very fair prices, we spent around €40 per person for an appetizer, first course, second course, service charge, water, and dessert. The staff was super friendly, helpful, and welcoming. There's a homey feel to it, making you feel at ease—from the staff, the place, and the dishes themselves, which immediately reveal that handmade quality you don't find everywhere anymore. Highly recommended for a different experience, both visually and in terms of flavors, from another era!

I can say that as a first experience it was truly spectacular, the beer was very good, the food was really excellent, as it says on the menu, they did a great deal of research to reproduce medieval recipes, the only thing I would improve would be the atmosphere, I would make it a little more medieval with specific music and maybe with the addition of some singers with medieval-style guitars.

Excellent food (and fair, affordable prices), a very themed (with music) and welcoming atmosphere, and very helpful, kind, and friendly staff. It's an experience we'll definitely repeat.

The Taverna is welcoming and the staff helpful. We enjoyed carefully prepared dishes, and the menu offers diverse and interesting choices. I hope to return to try the Wild Proposal, which unfortunately wasn't available!
