08/03/2026: The place is as beautiful as the service is inadequate. We booked for a peaceful weekend not far from home, in March. The place is objectively very beautiful; the rooms have undergone a partial renovation with some small things still to be fixed, but the atmosphere is pleasant. Some staff members (the breakfast manager and the bartender) greatly compensate for the shortcomings of others. We arrive and, while being shown to the room, we mention that it's extremely hot. The staff notices, too. They tell us we need to adjust the thermostat. We turn off everything, including the bathroom heater, and open the windows, which we close in the evening. At 2:00 in the morning, we're up with the windows wide open. The front desk tells us that we should have called them at 2:00 to change rooms because the heating pump passes above our room. Ah, that's what the constant noise was that accompanied us the whole time. Anyway, we fell asleep at 3:00, and at 6:00 we were woken by the sounds of the breakfast room—dishes and chatter. A wall separated us from the breakfast room. That would have been enough. Anyway, we asked for bathrobes for the pool and were told they weren't there, and that we could change there or bring our shower towel from the room, and we'd find pool towels there. Note: We would have also paid the deposit if necessary. Anyway, our neighbors were wearing bathrobes, and even reception has a bathrobe on display. Having said all this, because I'm against writing reviews without giving the opportunity to discuss them, there was no remedial action, other than telling us, as mentioned, that we had to ask to change rooms again that night, since they weren't full. It's a shame, because a pet-friendly place with proper gluten-free management has so much potential, but the guest's rest and service need to be reworked. We won't be returning, nor will we recommend it to friends.

17/02/2026: On a business trip to Reggio Emilia, we stopped for lunch at this beautiful place, which we found online by chance. Friendly staff, excellent food, and a reasonable price, highly recommended.

16/03/2026: A restaurant not to be missed. Lots of Slow Food-certified dishes. The rabbit is magnificent. The goose salami is delicious, with a sauce and caramelized onions that will blow your mind. Interesting wine selection, I'd love to try again. Super efficient.

16/03/2026: I stopped by for lunch, drawn by the positive reviews. Without a reservation, they found me a seat, treated me with great courtesy, and the food... Truly delicious and high-quality! The goose cured meats were mouth-watering, but the risotto and ravioli were also spectacular. A gem of a restaurant!

09/03/2026: Not a very positive experience. Four of us went. We ordered a cold cuts and cheese platter for two, served with fried gnocco, one pumpkin ravioli, and one Castelmagno gnocco, two slices of steak with arugula and parmesan, four desserts, including two panna cottas, a pistachio cheesecake, and a fried gnocco with Nutella, two bottles of still water, a bottle of Gotturnio, and four coffees. We paid €43 each for a total of €172. This seems rather excessive. I asked for two minutes of relaxation after the main course and before dessert, but this was ignored and the dessert was immediately requested. The food was good but not outstanding for a price of €43 per person, and we hadn't ordered a full meal per person. I won't go there again, and I don't recommend it.

02/03/2026: This is the first time we've used this bakery for our daughter's birthday cake. We'd heard great things about it, and they were right! The cake was gorgeous, delicious, and incredibly fresh! Highly recommended!

This curiosity is certainly rewarded by the unique selection of dishes and their deliciousness, which, combined with the very competitive prices, place ALVOLO PANINI E CUCINA among the original and intriguing gems of Pavia!

11/01/2026: A truly positive experience. I've been wanting to try this place for a while, and it was a great discovery! The service was very kind and attentive. The place was packed on a Tuesday night, so I recommend making a reservation. We ordered fried wonton noodles, shrimp clouds, and veal in Chinese sauce for appetizers. For starters, we had hand-rolled ramen (fabulous), seafood rice noodles, and shrimp dumplings for two. For main courses, we chose sweet and sour fried pork, Cantonese chicken (soft and juicy, with an excellent sauce), and grilled sea bass. For dessert, we chose a parfait and fried ice cream. Every dish was delicious and served promptly. Generous portions, especially the ramen and noodles. The bill came to €140 for four, including a €20 bottle of Pinot Noir, which I think is very reasonable given the quality and service. I recommend it to anyone who wants to try excellent Chinese cuisine. Bravo!

16/03/2026: SATURDAY DINNER - There were seven of us, and we ate main courses, side dishes, and desserts; everything was excellent, so much so that some of us who had stayed in Vigevano returned the next day for lunch. A highly recommended experience. SUNDAY LUNCH - We had already been for dinner the night before and returned to try the first courses as well: very good; we also shared an appetizer platter and then had dessert (the apple sorbet wasn't to my liking because it was too cold, so they gave me another dessert instead, an excellent crème brûlée. They clearly handled a small point of dissatisfaction well, which ultimately proved insignificant compared to the other excellent courses). At the end, they offered us a "beer vermouth" we hadn't even heard of. Well done! We plan to be back in Vigevano in April and will be back to try other courses.

19/01/2026: In the center of Stradella, the GioEle restaurant opens. In an elegant setting, with colorful rooms, you are welcomed with professionalism and kindness. The cuisine offers both land and sea dishes; I opted for "Grilled scallops and prawns, cream of Jerusalem artichoke and stewed artichoke," and to continue, "Baked turbot fillet, fennel cream, parsley oil and salmon roe." All accompanied by an excellent wine. A guarantee.

24/02/2026: When we're in Dorno for motocross, we eat there every evening. The food is great and the prices are okay. Best pizza ever! 🤟

04/04/2026: I strongly advise against it! Today is the third time I've ordered pizza and they've made a mistake. I ordered a Margherita pizza with hot dogs and fries, but with provolone cheese instead. What do they do? I get home and find a hot dog, fries, and tomato pizza. I was even hesitant to order it without hot dogs and fries, but luckily they put those in (oddly enough). Last time, however, I ordered a vegetarian pizza without zucchini. I get home and, lo and behold, I find zucchini. In all of this, the only thing I advise the staff to do is go back to elementary school and learn to read, or pay more attention. Just in case, I won't go back.

08/03/2026: A lovely little place, quiet and informal. The entire staff was extremely kind and friendly, despite the crazy table. The appetizers were excellent and generous portions, and the meat-based main courses were truly delicious and perfectly cooked. The dessert I chose, Strachin gelad, was delicious; I could have eaten more. Perhaps a little pricey, but I had a great time nonetheless. The final touch was the owner's guitar, which cheered us up before we left.

22/03/2026: Wonderful restaurant, quaint and welcoming. Delicious food, especially the Bonarda risotto. The service is top notch! The staff was very attentive to our food allergies, including celiac disease and lactose intolerance. Highly recommended!
