22/06/2025: We met with a group of friends to celebrate the birthday of one of us. First time here at "Caxa Mal Coti" which truly gave me an exceptional gastronomic experience. The structure is immersed in the splendid hills of the Oltrepò Pavese and offers a comfortable and bright environment where you feel like family thanks to the warm welcome of the staff. The quality of the food is remarkable: from the rich and tasty appetizers to the stellar first courses such as agnolotti, everything is prepared with home-grown ingredients. The fried gnocco is tasty and light, and the homemade limoncello cream is the perfect finishing touch. The wines offered also masterfully accompany each course. The quality-price ratio is very honest, considering the generous portions and the excellence of the products. The rustic and familiar service, but no less impeccable and professional, and is managed with great expertise. The breathtaking view from the hills makes the atmosphere even more magical. By the way, last night from the huge window we were able to enjoy the spectacle of nature of a very intense storm that illuminated all the surrounding hills. It is essential to book well in advance given the great demand, but the wait is absolutely worth it. A culinary experience that leaves the desire to return soon!

08/03/2025: Decisamente démodé nel suo aspetto, oggi come sempre, questa caffetteria offre un buona gamma di prodotti per colazioni e spuntini.

01/07/2025: In una sera abbiamo scoperto che non solo alla Belcreda c’è vita ma che addirittura c’è un ristorante di gran lunga superiore agli altri della zona. Di locali in cui si mangia bene ce ne sono senz’altro molti tra Vigevano e dintorni ma alla Locanda del Matto c’è molto più di questo: l’originalità del menù, abbinamenti inediti che ti sorprendono, il servizio impeccabile, la gentilezza dei proprietari e dei piatti che, come si suol dire, sono talmente belli da essere instagrammabili. Il locale è raccolto, intimo e lontano dal chiasso cittadino, perfetto per le coppie che vogliono trattarsi bene per una sera senza spendere un’esagerazione (noi abbiamo trovato i prezzi più che adeguati). 24/06/2025: Ristorante conosciuto e già frequentato anche in passato, scelto per il nostro matrimonio. 5 stelle sono poche perché la qualità dei cibi è sempre super ottima, ma la classe nel gestire il ricevimento è stata ineguagliabile. Perfetti nell’organizzazione, negli allestimenti, tempi e nel modo di servire i piatti. Cibi non banali ma super raffinati, di qualità estetica e degustativa. Super consigliato per pranzo/cena ma anche per un ricevimento. Superlativi

06/06/2025: Ottimi piatti della tradizione e non, Alberto ci tiene molto e si sente in tutti i piatti che cucina dai risotti ai dolci che sono fantastici, si sente la qualità dei prodotti.

10/05/2025: Cenato ieri sera con amici. Ambiente con pochi tavoli i gestori veramente gentili ti fanno sentire come essere in famiglia non un cliente. Non molta scelta di piatti ma quelli che ci sono sono veramente curati. Risotto con salsiccia buono e il rognone, che nonostante la mia tenerissima oltre le settanta primavere, era la prima volta che lo mangiavo veramente gustoso. Purtroppo questo locale si nota poco passandogli davanti perché non ci sono grandi insegne ma una volta scoperto difficilmente si dimentica. Prezzo nella norma

03/08/2025: I've been there several times. The family atmosphere is well-maintained and clean. Impeccable and punctual service. The appetizers, which include a variety of cold cuts, were plentiful. Local cuisine dishes are well-prepared, with generous portions, and I always ask if anyone wants more. The desserts are equally excellent; it's recommended for a lunch with family, friends, or colleagues. The bill is also good.

08/06/2025: giro in moto con amici motociclisti e dato che una coppia conosceva questo posto, siamo andati tutti insieme, una più che piacevole sorpresa, specialmente se vi piacciono luoghi e sapori naturali, la coppia di gestori è affascinante come pure la loro storia che li ha portati a realizzare tutto ciò con le loro mani (nel vero senso della parola), ci tornerò con amici e parenti perché secondo me ne vale la pena, costo nella norma (se consideri che a Milano per una pizza un dolce e una birra spendi anche 30€) ma impagabile è l'accoglienza che percepisci

19/07/2025: We went there on the advice of friends and I must say that we had a really good time, good pizza and good quality of products, excellent and fast service and fair price for what we ate. We took 2 pizzas, water and 66 cl beer and 2 desserts with cover charge 42 euros but the pizza was full of good ingredients and desserts.

17/05/2025: I have a shop nearby, I went by chance and I can say that they have very good food at a price that has remained unchanged for 30 years, half a kilo of focaccia for 2 euros, I challenge you to find a place that charges less. Super friendly staff

20/07/2025: Unique view of Lake Bolsena. The food was very good, whether it was pizza or fresh squid, or delicious desserts or side dishes. A good wine list with reasonable prices. Service was very good, but as it got busier, it became noticeably understaffed, which was a bit of a shame.

07/09/2025: Friendliness certainly doesn't reside with the gentleman with glasses who took the order. Arrogant and even rude. Otherwise, everything else was fine.

08/08/2025: Fast and courteous service. As with all all-you-can-eat restaurants, the tables are small but well-lit. The dishes are varied and beautifully plated, some with unique and contrasting flavors, but they're all enjoyable. The only disappointing dish was the fried duck. The shrimp with truffles was very good, but it's a shame it's one of the dishes where orders are limited.

16/06/2025: Il cibo era molto buono ma servito senza una sosta tra una portata e l'altra. Abbiamo sofferto tantissimo il caldo asfissiante e l'acqua servita era sempre calda...

16/06/2025: Pranzo di domenica 15/06. Festa compleanno in 12 tutti strasoddisfatti della qualità del menù fisso (non c’è menù alla carta). Classica proposta Pavese ma qualitativamente sorprendente. Prezzo veramente ottimo e veramente tutto compreso anche vini in bottiglia di loro produzione “senza contare le bottiglie portate…” Tra l’altro ci hanno cambiato tavolo al volo per metterci in una sala dove c’era aria condizionata risolvendoci un problema sorto all’ultimo, veramente gentilissimi. Ambiente carinissimo tra tavoli esterni e interni in varie sale e salette, adatto a chiunque voglia condividere il convivio un po’ chiassoso ed allegro Tutto gestito in vero ambiente famigliare.
