20/07/2025: We eat here very often. It feels like eating at home. The food is delicious and of a rare quality! Since I've been frequenting this place regularly, I can't stand going to the usual AYCE restaurants anymore. The quality of the sushi (and the Chinese dishes as well) is top-notch. The surprising thing? The prices, which are significantly below average even for the à la carte menu. The owner is also very friendly and we often stop by for a chat after dinner.

26/05/2025: Traditional Chinese dishes, abundant and cheap. Japanese and Thai cuisine are also available. Friendly and not at all intrusive staff. Convenient parking underneath. The place deserves a restoration as well as the menus, really worn out by use

20/06/2025: Great Discovery: The Older Tower between taste and versatility! I had lunch at The Older Tower and I must say it was a pleasant surprise! The environment is very welcoming and well-kept, suitable for both a quick lunch and for more quiet occasions. I was struck by its versatility: you immediately understand that it is a place where you can stop for breakfast/ lunch/ dinner, an aperitif or even to celebrate events. As for the food, I started with a delicious pasta alla Trapanese: the flavor was authentic and the ingredients fresh, a truly excellent dish. For the second course, I chose the lemon chicken, and it was simply exquisite! Soft, tasty and with a perfect lemon scent, definitely worth trying. The service was courteous and attentive, the staff was always helpful and smiling. The quality-price ratio is excellent, considering the quality of the dishes and the pleasant environment. I highly recommend The Older Tower to those looking for a versatile place to eat well, both for a quick lunch and for a special occasion. I will definitely come back to try breakfast or an aperitif!

24/06/2025: We had dinner on Saturday evening à la carte, the products were of excellent quality, all of their own production. The meat was truly fantastic. We will definitely return on a Saturday for lunch and then take advantage of their outlet.

30/07/2025: Excellent food and service. However, I don't like the fact that the menu is verbally displayed and they don't bring you anything in writing. Unfortunately, this is prohibited by law, with Supreme Court ruling no. 24190 of May 24, 2005, which requires the restaurant owner to list everything in writing with clear and visible prices. This aspect needs improvement.

13/07/2025: Historic trattoria...where the waitress and chef make you feel at home...excellent homemade cured meats...delicious frog risotto as well as fried frogs...worth a stop.

26/08/2025: I had tried their takeout products, which were already good for the quality of the ingredients used, but in-store they were truly exceptional. Very attentive and meticulous service, a short wait given the number of customers, so reservations are recommended. The first courses are generous in portions. The gourmet pizzas are fantastic and packed with ingredients. The quality/price ratio is above average for what you get. Highly recommended, and I hope they never change their way of working!

15/08/2025: The pizza dough was very good, it's a shame that the artichokes were sour and inedible.

10/07/2025: Pavia's historic and iconic pub and brewery. A refined and welcoming atmosphere. Very distinctive. Outdoor seating is also available directly on Piazza Vittoria. You can enjoy an aperitif or a sandwich, but the real star is the beer. Excellent selection, highly recommended.

27/07/2025: Ieri sera eravamo di passaggio intorno alle otto di sera per vedere se ci fosse per noi disponibilità nonostante non avessimo prenotato. Siamo incappati in una scena da film dove il titolare diceva ad un cliente questa è casa mia e tu esci da qui addirittura con fare minaccioso...ho chiesto cosa fosse successo: mi hanno risposto che il cliente dopo qualche minuto di attesa aveva chiesto di accomodarsi al suo tavolo prenotato per evitare l ingorgo davanti la porta di ingresso e il titolare li aveva tenuti invece in attesa in piedi fino all orario della prenotazione, facendogli notare con fare che non si doveva permettere di mettere becco sul suo lavoro di gestore del locale. La dubbia professionalità del gestore è ben nota a Pavia ma arrivare a questi toni con un cliente è molto grave. Anche se non coinvolti i miei amici ed io abbiamo cancellato il numero di taverna santorini. Assistere a queste scene non è gradevole....l unica nota positiva è che ieri non ho visto bambini.

23/07/2025: It was delicious. The max pita portion is mandatory; you'd rather skip lunch, but it's really good. Then finish with raki (tsipouro) or the awful rakomero 🔝

24/08/2025: Over an hour's wait for two takeout pizzas. Receipt issued at 8:23 PM, but I'd actually been in since 8:05 PM. The cashier asked me to wait because she had to charge customers at the tables first. At 8:58 PM, I asked for information after seeing everything: wrong tables, customers upstairs being forced down, one of the pizza chefs in charge of the toppings with his bare hands, wiping himself on a filthy apron. At 9:05 PM, I discovered that my order was far from being fulfilled. I asked if I could use the receipt for another evening. The cashier gave me my money back, and a gentleman, perhaps the owner, asked me not to come back. And who would come back???

21/08/2025: We found this place by chance, open late into the evening, even during the week. Very clean and modern in its furnishings. We ordered two pizzas and a dessert, and I have to say everything was very good. I recommend it.

28/06/2025: Great place for a break in the cool (in summer) with a view on the terrace. Parking nearby.

04/06/2025: Appena posso mi regalo un pranzo od una cena in questo locale dove mi sento come a casa. Da poco ho scoperto che i salumi ed il vino sono prodotti dal titolare cosi come tutte le altre preparazioni sono freschissimi e le pizze sono buone anche se portate a casa.
